Ottawa County Humane Society helping me to find a home for this little kitty! Have have had it 3 weeks now at my home! Litter box trained will make someone a beautiful and loving cat ! Really needs a home. Listens and very good !I can’t keep it, I already have a cat! Please help (Ottawa County Humane society. Let me start by saying wow what an amazing facility. Very great treatment of all animals but let me refrain from saying anything I would regret. There is one lady there that is horrifically rude and I quote “if you’re not gonna adopt you need to fill out volunteer forms”. This was after we stated we were interested in adopting a cat. I have to say that was a huge disappointment and really turned me away from asking questions about the cat. “You can’t stay in here long because I need to work the front desk too”. Rushing us out the doors what kind of adopter goes into a facility and then see a cat for two seconds I felt intimidated to ask questions I love the animals but someone needs to fix that lady’s attitude

Lisa is the most unprofessional person I have ever spoke to in my life and the most nastiest by far. First of all, she’s very selfish and refuses to help people out. I got a cat from a friend who I told her is displaying signs of aggression, she told me she is not willing to put her employees at risk even though I clearly told her the cat never attacked me. Told me THAT didn’t make any sense, clearly there is a huge lack of intelligence here. She said I put myself in this situation and have to “figure it out”. Very professional. She was extremely nasty with me. I would NOT recommend this place at all. Never in my 26 years have I had someone speak with me in such a disrespectful way. Please stay far away from here. They are not willing to help. There is another bad review but it’s on another website. Everything in that review was absolutely true. The ignorance is astounding.

It's a busy place. My first time fostering was trying but I hope for better next time. Loved my dog Woody to pieces but he came with multiple issues. Needed teeth pulled, nails trimmed, ear issues, eye sty. I did the best I could but have leared much about fostering. You should check n b clear about what you're getting into. Humane Society of any district are under funded. If u have extra $ this chapter is a great one. All people are loving animal lovers.

We were looking for a new family member and had seen Josie on the website. She was scheduled to be picked up by an out of state family but they cancelled. Lisa from the society let us know and we visited. The staff was wonderful and they made adopting Josie very easy. They have a passion for the animals that is on display by their actions.

They had their annual yard sale of donations from all the county. All monies collected are used to support this inportant foundation. I found a few nice things. All volunteers were friendly and the Italian sausage sold on sight was the best I've ever had. Currently staying in a no pet community. U didn't go into the shelter because I knew I would fall in love. Haha
