Dr Alex is great with my cat. All of the staff is beyond friendly! My cat had to get some teeth pulled and I was very anxious for the surgery. They did great work on her and she is eating so much better now. They also found she has arthritis and have prescribed a med for her that really helps her mobility! Great place to go, they really care about your pets

We recently moved permanently to the area and this was our first appointment at Harborview Animal Hospital as our chosen new vet, and I couldn't be more pleased. While I liked my previous vet clinic, there were a number of pleasant differences here: There was no waiting in the lobby with other animals (which I think can just elevate stress). - They ask you to call on arrival (or wait at the door to be waved in). We were waved in immediately and there were no other animals in the lobby and they led us in to the exam room right away. Vet Tech Brittany took all the initial information there and was very pleasant and informative. When doctor Alex came in, he really took things slowly with our dog, even sitting on the floor, to build trust and rapport. His questioning, exam, and information provided seemed thorough but tailored to points of concern. Later he was assisted by Vet Tech Josh, who was also very pleasant, informative, and helpful. I never once felt rushed, which was nice. At the end, Brittany took time to provide a detailed explanation of the current bill, as well as a cost estimate for a possible future procedure. - Both costs were quite reasonable and less than what I had experienced elsewhere. We look forward to a long relationship of good pet health with Harborview.

This veterinarian facility takes significant ownership in your pet's well being. They ask appropriate questions to get a full history of issues/problems, then provide options for possible solutions to help resolve pet's problems. Very thorough, I never got the impression they had to get to the next appointment, truly expressed interest/concern in the animal's well being. The staff and Veterinarian were very knowledgeable and looked at all aspects, including expense and invasiveness to work through to what we desired for a solution based on the diagnosis.We've only been to this practice once, but a significant difference to the veterinarian we previously used.

After a drastic change in our cat, we called multiple vets and Harborview was the one we were able to schedule an appointment with… the dr was very honest with us and didn’t try to overcharge us or run a bunch of unnecessary tests. After the initial exam and the dr giving us what he could do and the most honest personal opinion, we made the tough decision to have our furbaby euthanized. We were allowed to stay in the room and be with her as she took her last breaths and it was so peaceful for her and us. I definitely recommend this vet to anyone looking for people who care about your fur babies!

I've been going to harborview animal hospital since they were next to a drive-in theater and although the staff has changed the dedication to animals has not.We have four dogs two of which are service dogs and they have bent over backwards to accommodate our unique situations.I know when we walk in the door that they love and respect animals and that our dogs will be well taken care of. Often when you have to go to the veterinarian it is at life's worst times I would have no problem trusting them with my dogs and myself during times when life is so very difficult.

Very caring staff except some of the front desk staff are less than welcoming. Prices seem a bit high, but everyone seems super knowledgeable. As a new customer, I guess we wait and see how things go on next visits.So there is no lobby seating anymore, seems they have taken the covid posture for waiting in your car to a forever thing? They have a sign out front that says call to checkin? They have closed their restrooms to the public. Just not a welcoming first 5 minutes for me as a new patient. 😕

Always a great experience. The treatment is Five Starr for our two dogs and cat. We wouldn’t trust anyone else to provide medical services they do for us. The staff is always so nice and love our pets like we do.

The vet and staff are great. They show their love of animals through the wonderful care of our pets. The prices are very reasonable and I love the text reminders of when it's time for check ups. I'm definitely glad the humane society recommend them.

Moved to the area from out of state and realized updating my dogs vaccines before the move got missed. Harbor view was quick to get me and my dog into the office and able to obtain records from previous vet! Loved how good the were with getting my nervous dog her many pokes and blood draw! Their experience was evident as their patience and gentleness were amazing! It went so smooth!

Best Veterinary service I have received for my little guys! It is evident that they care deeply for each of their patients! One of my dogs has a lot of anxiety and they showed extreme patience and care for his issues. Dr. Alex is awesome and his support staff is extra awesome! My pup is an old man with severe separation anxiety and dementia. The Doc and staff take such good care of him and give him lots of love and support, even when he’s not giving any love back (even when he’s acting more like a velociraptor than a 20 pound ball of fluff). They work hard to take care of him in as few appointments as possible to keep his trauma to a minimum and work hard to get us in when we need it. They refill prescriptions quickly and don’t push us to get unnecessary procedures.

I have had my dog at the same vet his entire life but as he gets older (he just turned 10) I feel the old vet stopped listening to my concerns and stopped providing me with solutions to the issues. When I decided to look for a new vet I was nervous and unsure. But Harborview's staff is amazing! They asked the necessary questions to gain a understanding into my dogs history. They listened to my concerns and took the necessary steps to find a solution/ answer. I am extremely satisfied. After years of my poor dog suffering without the answers needed I am finally seeing a real difference given the plan Harborview came up with for me and my dog. I am beyond grateful. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a great vet!

We have been going to Harborview as our summer veterinarian. I called last week our Yorkie was very sick and was told they could see her in 3 weeks. She was coughing so bad and was very sick. Why could they not work her in even if I had to sit there all day. I called all around and Catawba animal hospital worker us in. She had a collapsed tracea. Thank goodness they got her on the road to recovery. I found my new vet.

Dr. Alexander de Roziere and staff at Harborview Animal Hospital are exceptional animal care providers. Dr. Roziere addressed all of our concerns with our elderly Lab. We have tried numerous prescription treatments for our dog Miles’s ear infections and after one appointment with Dr. Roziere Miles’s ears are greatly improved. Dr. Roziere is a very knowledgeable veterinarian and we highly recommend this practice

We just moved to the area. I researched the local vets and asked neighbors where they took their animals. I finally decided on Harborview Animal Hospital. Going to a new vet after 20 years with our old vet was very traumatic for me! Lol. I absolutely made the right choice with Harborview! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Absolutely love this hospital, my German Shepherd was struggling with his health when I called for their soonest appointment they got him in immediately and treated my boy so kind and was very sensitive to his needs. The staff treated me extremely kind explaining everything so I could feel comfortable taking care of my dogs needs when I got home and even called on Saturday to make sure he was doing ok. Dr. Alex is very very great with my animals as well as myself. Cannot express how grateful I am to them...will definitely recommend them to everyone.

We have been going to Harborview Animal Hospital for over 20 years. We have always been impressed with the care our animals have received and the way the staff has treated our animals and us. Dr. Geiger was wonderful and we were dreading his retirement, but Dr. Alex has been great. We had an older dog who was very ill and Dr. Alex diagnosed her and operated, and she is doing great! We will continue to take our animals there and highly recommend them.

Met Dr. Alex and staff yesterday. They were all wonderful! Josh spent so much time with us answering questions and going over Bentley’s records as we transferred from out of state. Both he and Dr Alex stressed the fact they want the animals to think of the clinic as a nice visit and not a place to fear and get poked. The front staff was some of the best I’ve met. I've had dogs my entire life, and this veterinary practice is hands-down the most helpful and informative. Getting a thorough diagnosis is expected, of course, but what sets this practice apart from all others in my experience is the care and time taken to always put things in context. No question is considered too time-consuming, no exam is ever rushed, and we leave with additional written information beyond what was discussed during the office visit. Dr. Alex understands our goal for our 16 yr-old dog is quality of life; there's never any pressure for extraordinary measures, and in fact, Dr. Alex has helped us a great deal to clarify exactly what "quality of life" means going forward. Josh, the vet tech who helps us, is a treasure. He's remarkably well-informed and so helpful. A final word: We live in Toledo, and gladly make the drive to Harborview. That's how much faith we have in this practice.

First time visit with our 2 pups. Dr Alex was very thorough in checking each dog and talking about their overall health. Both pups are slightly overweight so Dr Alex calculated their needed daily caloric intake and put them on a plan to help them drop a couple pounds. One needs dental cleaning badly (no surprise to me) so we discussed reasonable dental care. Cost for the visit was commensurate with our previous vet in Avon Lake. Personal touch is a big plus. Vet techs were very kind with the pups.

Ive been taking my dogs to Harborview for years and will continue to do so. Dr Alex has quickly identified and resolved my dogs issues many times. After several surgeries there is no other place i will trust with my dogs lives. Reserch will show that their prices are very resonable. The staff is professional and calming.

I am on vacation in area and Harborview got me in right away as emergency. For a work-in the wait was expected. After review the vet believed it was an unknown abrasion and blistering in my dogs mouth and nothing further. I received medicated wipes and no antibiotic needed because mouths heal fast. I was concerned about an elevated temp as she was warm and "not herself". They only took her temp at my suggestion. They followed up on her via text as well. She is still not 100% and we believe she was bit by or ate a spider. Otherwise, 5 stars for doing what they could with limited info.
