My family & I try to get to Pomeroy whenever we can, just to come spend a bit of time in River Roasters. It is a 45-minute drive from home, but we gladly will come that way for a delicious brunch or lunch, a coffee, smoothie, or snack. & always always make a point to stop if passing anywhere nearby with another destination on our horizon for road trip provisions. We love the atmosphere & the folks running the operation have always been thoughtful, through, and nothing but kind!

Oh MY GOSH! I have lived all over the world and spent decades in the coffee mecca of Seattle and River Roasters, is my all-time favorite coffee shop! To have delicious coffee, in an aesthetically pleasing space with the kindest and attentive staff, in our sweet little Appalachian town is the greatest gift! When I first visited, I was greeted by the owners with the most warm, enthusiastic welcome and have, ever since, felt like part of the RivRo family! Not only do I bring every out-of-town guest here for a delicious lunch, but I also spend hours sipping a different drink from the seasonal menu, while doing computer work. Grateful for being able to buy locally roasted coffee beans to brew at home! The tasty food, the glowing smiles and energy from the team, the commitment Larry and Candice have to their community, and the best coffee, make River Roasters the place to be! I'll see you there!

This is my favorite spot for lunch. I live about 20 miles away and try to go 2 or 3 times a month. Pomeroy is a funky artsy town on the Ohio River and River Roasters is a nice fit for the town. My favorite dish is the Lox & Bagel, it's not on the regular menu, but it has been on the specials board everytime I have been there.The coffee is fantastic, they sell multiple styles of whole bean to take home and will grind it to your specifications, even Turkish grind. I definitely recommend that you try this spot out.

Excellent find during an impromptu jaunt to Pomeroy! The owner was engaging, the staff were super helpful, and the food was delicious! I had half of a Cali Chicken Club with a small Fall Salad. I was skeptical about barbecue sauce and avocado on this panini but the combination was wonderful! This was my first time strolling down the streets of Pomeroy to wander in the cute little shops that overlook the river. Starting my afternoon at River Roasters placed a smile on my face that remained the duration of my day!

I LOVE this little coffee shop in Pomeroy. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the food and drinks are always delicious. If coming for lunch, I recommend their giant delicious salads. If you’re just looking for a snack, grab an oatmeal cream pie or a scone with a fruit cooler which is basically a smoothie with cream. The peaches and cream is my favorite ☺️ They always stock up the menu seasonally as well, so there’s always something new and fun to try throughout the year! 100% recommend making a stop if you’re driving through.

Oh man is their food amazing. I ordered something off their temporary menu and it filled me up yet I wanted to go back and order five more. Their coffee is smoothe, aromatic, and flavorful. Extremely fantastic. If you're going down Highway 33 get off and stop here. Even the view is amazing with being on the Ohio river.

I really didn’t get a chance to experience River Roasters on my first visit.After visiting the 2nd time and many more times, the wife and I really enjoy coming in and getting our Coffee/tea. They also have great food!This coffee shop is located on Main St in Pomeroy Ohio, and if your looking to visit a one of a kind, unique Coffee shop then this is the place to come to. The staff is very friendly and courteous.I upgraded them from 4 stars to 5.(Original Post)The wife and I have heard a lot of people talk about how great River Toasters Coffee is. We finally got a chance to visit them yesterday morning. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff was very friendly. The wife got Coffee and I got tea and we both got a snack with our drinks! We where really pleased with everything and would recommend River Roasters to anyone who is looking for a great local Coffee Shop! If your in the neighborhood or just passing by I would stop by and check them out!

I truly think this may be my all time favorite coffee place! They have a wide selection of items on their menu and everything I’ve had has been delicious. The service is fairly fast, the workers are so nice, and it has a very minimalist atmosphere that seems to be all the rage these days, and there’s a perfect view of the river— I’m not sure it can get much better in Pomeroy! I have to say this is one of the best places in town!

Grabbed a snickerdoodle coffee cake, Cubano for the hubby, and a cafe mocha for me...great atmosphere and lovely outdoor courtyard and riverbank gazebo made this stop on our way to Athens worth while --definitely on our list of places to grab a cup of java next time we are out this way!

Very nice "real" coffee place with a full selection of everything you'd expect from a place with this name. I had the dark daily roast and it was hot and fresh, even at 3 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. Highly recommend this place. Plus there is free on street parking and it's right across the street from the Pomeroy waterfront park and the Ohio River.

The person who helped me at the register was absolutely one of the warmest Baristas I've met in a very long time. I ended up getting the dirty chai ( you can tell a lot about a coffee shop by their chai) it is by far one of the best chai teas I think I've ever had. The California coffee shops have nothing on these guys. 10 out of 10It was pretty busy in there and I got my drink very quickly.
