Simple order two drinks chicken sandwich order of mushrooms hot dog order of pepper jack cheese bites chicken sandwich was like rubber and the hot dog was green plus they got the order wrong instead of the fried mushrooms got a large curly fry then when we send stuff back the manager comes out and tells us to leave, but his first point of order was to say something about my wife's service dog and then when we tried to corner him on that being the reason he wanted us to leave he went on about since we didn't like the food he didn't want us in his restaurant now me and my wife have had her service dog in many restaurants upscale restaurants and those are the ones you would expect would treat somebody poorly not at what's supposed to be a nice friendly local eatery if you have a disability I would not recommend this place because obviously they discriminate

First off, this is the cleanest restaurant I've been to in a long time, so good job on that! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my husband and I split a large onion ring. Great taste on all the above. Onion rings are cut the perfect size & the batter is flavorful and they are cooked perfectly. The only thing lacking on the tasty burger was a toasted bun. That would have got the 5th star. But great place to eat and nice view as well. I saw your reply and had to change it to 5*! I should have asked. :)

Expecting a sit down diner. It was a cross between a diner and ice cream parlor. Service was great. Food not so much. Ordered fish and chicken dinner. Expected a piece of broasted chicken. Received 2 very small chicken tenders and 2 more breaded strips of fast food fish. Added crinkle fries and vinegar Cole slaw. Spent $10 for the plate. I'm sure they probably have to die for shakes. Hamburger was very small and the cheapest beef. I serve food daily so I know what it takes to run a diner and possibilities. Need fewer options and better quality. No other restaurant in town.

Can anyone explain this to me? You order a chocolate shake with chocolate ice cream. They give you a chocolate shake made with vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup! Note to who's in charge...that isn't a chocolate shake...especially when I asked for chocolate ice cream! Other than that, I have loved McClure's for 50 years! Their food is awesome, but why can't a person have an actual CHOCOLATE shake?

It's always an enjoyable experience Takes straight back to my childhood happy memories of all wonderful times throughout my childhood spent either at the old restaurant nextdoor to the time I moved away for college. Since being back home this past year after 25 years I often visit either the Pomeroy location by my house or the middleport location for a much or more to remember the happiness as for the Sonny Burgers fried spicy hot pickles and large pineapple, peach, or some other fruity flavored large milkshake that's really to big to finish but to good to not try to. Good food Good service from the daughters or the people I grew up with and offers me the feeling of being connected and a welcome member of a close community feeling like you I'm home.

Great milkshakes! A word of advice, though, the large is HUGE! Like big gulp size huge! We still laugh about the first time we went there and ignorantly ordered a large carmel shake. We were shocked when they handed us a gallon sized shake at the drive thru window. Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 adult size kids) couldn't finish it all. But it was delicious all the same!

Nice view of the river! Friendly, courteous and helpful counter service.... decent fast food. Milk shakes! OMG the milkshakes! I had Blueberry banana, she said surprise me and got caramel apple. OMG the milkshakes!

The restaurant is always clean and the temperature is always comfortable. I've never had a problem with the staff, they will always go out of their way to help you. Good selection of food and ice cream.Parking: Large, street level parking lot.Kid-friendliness: No play area, but nothing that would prohibit kids in the restaurant.

We stopped here randomly around 8:30 and was scared because of an off road road we had to drive on but it was good!!The people were very friendly, we saw them make the items and they were not taking too long to finish our big order.4 stars because I am used to something a little different when it comes to the way food is made but the food was all ate!!

Updated Review (2021)I decided to try there milkshakes the other day, they are a bit expensive however they are great! I have not dared to try there food again but do recommend there milkshakes! I would give them 2 stars but they need more then great milkshakes!(2019 review)I ate here about 1 year ago, for the price you pay for the food, for how little you get and for how bad it tasted, I would not recommend this place at all. Most of all my reviews of places have been 3-4 stars this is only 2nd 1 star I have given.To be fair it was a year ago and things could have changed but I said I would never eat there again, I would of done a review then however I just recently started doing reviews, and I am dong them for all places I have been and visited. I think it helps paint a good picture of a place.I see a lot of people have given it high reviews but this is my review.

Their good but can be rude and he only seems to hire females. My son put in an application and he waited for the weekend to get an interview, when it came around the owner wasn't there so we went back later on that day and when he did have his interview the owner came out with his application that looked like it was crumbled up and threw away, literally. Needless to say, he never got a call, let alone hired. That's his loss, he couldn't have had a better or more honest kid to have worked for him.

Amazing milkshakes. The strawberry has real strawberries in it. The large is 64oz for 3 to 4dollars. There's usually a line but dont worry they are fast as they can be. They will also come out with a pen and paper and take your order so by the time you get yo the window your food is ready.
