Massively understaffed so aisles are cluttered with stock that hasn't been shelved yet. Every staff member has been friendly and helpful but there are just too few of them.

Definitely issues here but I honestly believe it’s a corporate problem. These stores are notoriously too small and short staffed and the company just keeps buying and delivering mass products with no place to put it.They stay afloat for a little bit and get sunk again. It’s no wonder people don’t want to work there. It’s a glorified thrift shop with a few groceries. Bring your skinny jeans because passing anyone in an aisle is near impossible. And a lot of aisles are just… impossible to shop.

I've come here multiple times in the 3-4 years I've been in plain city. This place is cheap and has a wide selection, the workers are usually pretty nice (everyone has bad days), and the lines are usually pretty short, though the aisles are a little narrow and have boxes in them. But nonetheless it's a great store.

If I could honestly give the plain city store a NEGATIVE 5 stars I would. They are never open. Inconsistent hours. The place is an absolute mess. It’s been this way for well over a year now. Corporate needs to step in and do a reorganization of this. Not sure how it’s still in business.

People were nice but this is the messiest dollar general I have ever been to. Every aisle had stuff on the floor, some of them alot of stuff on the floor and product just everywhere. It was just a mess. They have a hiring sign so they must be short staffed. Im sure once they are full staffed again and they have time to clean up it will be much better.

This store is the worst! Can't get thru the isles, do to all the stock carts. Can't buy what you need, because shelves are empty. It's all on the carts, all over the store. Management needs to worry about taking care of their store, instead of worrying about having to pay employees overtime! 1 or 2 employees can't run the whole store, without overtime! Get it together!

Its great to have a place locally to pick up random groceries and other household items, however,, the store is perpetually understaffed so you can almost always expect to wait in line for several minutes. I've been in there several times recently where only 1 person is inside the store ans they are in one of the aisles restocking the shelves and nobody is running the register.

Terrible customer service! I’m surprised this place is still even open.You can’t get through the aisles to even shop at this place. Tried to buy a pair of flip-flops the only pair we could find had no tags so we had to dig through packed bins to find one that was similar (the only difference was that it had flowers on it and not plain black). He scanned it but wouldn’t give us the ones that we wanted without the tags. Seriously they’re just flip-flops-they were the exact same things-one had flowers one was all black I don’t know what difference it makes whether they have a tag as long as you’re scanning the item into the system.

I used to dread having to stop at this dollar general. You couldn’t get through the isles, nothing was organized, you couldn’t find anything on the shelves... Everything was shoved on them and pouring onto the ground. I would usually give up digging and drive to Dublin. Costumer service was non existent. Often felt more like a burden for spending my money there. Since they have hired a NEW MANAGER the store looks AMAZING! They have made so much progress organizing and cleaning. I saw smiles on 2 employees faces for the first time ever. Serious PROPS to the new guy for turning this store around! Keep it up!

There is but two employees here that don't treat me like garbage. If you're coming here for a non-edible item, good luck finding it near it's correct price tag. This place is a mess. Cheap, corporate garbage. Many times it takes over 2 minutes for the cashier to show up at the register. I mean, they really take their time. Overall a bad experience unless I'm looking for some sort of food or cheap candy.

They had what I needed and the checkout person was somewhat polite, but they REALLY need to have more people on staff at a time, so that the overflowing stock carts aren't left all over the store all day long, preventing people from being able to maneuver through the store.

It's a lot better since the new ownership. Everything isnt on the floor everywhere anymore. Seems to be super organized. They were out of the medicine I needed but what I got worked out better! Were in here frequently we love dq diapers better than name brand. Sometimes they dont have our size.

There's a lady who has worked here for awhile now. But don't ask her anything, like do have this ? Bc you will get * I don't know * she has no clue. I was here yesterday I inquired about something and a price. She said * I don't know * shoved the price list at me. I think she plays dumb bc honestly she's lazy. It's so annoying .The younger girl she knows alot but she does stock it. Just don't ask the older cashier lady you'll get * I don't know *

Very, very rude cashier (I guess she was the manager) yelling at customers trying to enter store because they now close at 5:00pm. Oh yeah they now close at 5pm!

The aisles are always stacked with boxes and totes. Shelves not stocked....long lines, under staffed. This is NOT a COVID19 issue. It has been like this for the last 3 or 4 years

Best by far better then plain citys dollar general. Cleaner and usually no boxes in the islas and friendly staff. Well stocked . Great deals and awesome coupons to save more .

The store has clutter in the aisles, the parking lot is filthy and littered with trash and cigarette butts, and management gas refused to clean any of the mess despite multiple complaints from the community.
