Stay 3/24/23-3/26/23 (reserved via VRBO)I was at the Farmhouse with a group of friends (10 adults, 4 dogs) for a birthday weekend. Everything was clean, tidy, and easy to access and navigate. We were a little cozy with 10 people but we still enjoyed the space, inside and out.There were plenty of dishes, cookware, glassware, utensils, appliances to make and serve just about anything (we opted to bring disposableware to cut down on dishes, no dishwasher). Some essential supplies were also provided (trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, dish cleaning), but we also brought and left some supplies also.We purchased feed and liked feeding the animals in the barn (llama, alpaca, sheep, goats, pony, bunnies) and around the pond (chickens and ducks). The backyard space was really great for us: deck space, picnic table, 2 grills, firepit (we didn't get to use the firepit due to high winds, but it was large, some sticks/large branches were collected, and tons of chairs were provided, all good stuff!).Also due to the high winds, the Farmhouse and surrounding area (as far as Dollar General) lost power, BUT thankfully the Farmhouse has a generator!!! That saved the weekend! But since we were on generator power, the stove wasn't able to be used. But again, there were plenty of appliances (griddle, microwave, crockpot) that helped us get through dinner (we made tacos). Though the heating still worked, we didn't realize that, when we lost power, it reset the thermostat (in 1st floor bedroom) down to 60°F. But that wasn't bad, we didn't know, it was an unordinary thing to happen.I, personally, stayed in the cottage, which was really cute outside, really clean and cozy inside, spacious, plenty of lighting inside. I was able to find the plugs for the string lights on the cottage porch (and front porch of the main Farmhouse), which were nice to have at night, but they were not already plugged in (not a big deal). There's a big light over the back deck that lights one side of the cottage well, but I would've felt a little more comfortable with another light outside the cottage somewhere on the cottage porch or the dark side (far side from the back deck). The bed and pillows were a little soft for my liking, but I slept fine. The quilt was a little thin, but there is plenty of heating on both sides of the bed. I loved staying in the cottage!My only unpleasant moments: Internet service, TV functionality, *cellphone service (*not the fault of the Farmhouse, just something for others to know).Upon arrival, we all had issues connecting to and staying connected to the internet. We eventually got it to work, but we weren't too off-put by it because we had plenty to do to pass the time and focused on having a good time (grilling, board games, cooking food, video games, play with our dogs, petting/feeding farm animals/farm cats, etc).The main living room TV worked great and was easy to use but the other TVs/cable boxes in the 1st floor bedroom and cottage were tricky to use. We weren't sure if the remotes got out of sync from previous visitors, but we couldn't really figure out how to use them with the remotes (we used the buttons on the TV/cable box). But again, it wasn't a huge inconvenience for us because we had plenty to do and focused on spending time together.The Farmhouse is in the country and kind of off the grid, so cellphone service was touch and go. Cellphone service got worse through the high winds, which was a little scary, but we made it through. We had to drive into town to Dollar General to get decent cellphone service. Not anyone's fault, it is what it is.Lastly, the homeowner/VRBO representative was easy to reach (when cellphone service was available) and helpful with all our questions and through the high winds. I didn't speak to them directly, but my close friend (who made the reservation) did and she never complained and always had answers after speaking to them.I highly recommend the Farmhouse! We all had a great time and are considering making an annual visit.

I would recommend this place to friends and family all day long.We all loved our stay. Loved the animals, we went pontooning nearby, hiking, plenty busy fishing and sat by the fire every night. WE want to go back for sure!Shane and family did a wonderful job prepping the farmhouse for us and we were all impressed with many things about this beautiful farmhouse.Thank you...for a job well done!

Put simply, the grandkids are already talking about "when" we go back. The kitchen and linen supplies were more than ample, the animals were delightful. I was disappointed at first by all the cats until I learned that the owners are doing everything they can to keep the cat population down. It's the jerks who drop them off that are the problem.We got a beautiful snow while we were there, and the owner came out to shovel paths for us. We may go back in the summer for a completely different experience.The upstairs bedrooms are all connected, so if privacy is an issue it could be a problem. The kids didn't care, they loved it. The 1st floor bedroom and the separate cottage offer privacy.

This was a great place for our family gathering. We rented both the cabin and the house, which accommodated our large family well. The owners maintained good communication and even left the Christmas decorations up for us. It's off the beaten track, so very quiet and we enjoyed the animals. I would definitely recommend this for families with small childen who would enjoy the outdoors and animals.

we had a party of 10 and fit comfortably, the pond has an amazing selection of largemouth bass, white crappie, spotted sunfish, and bluegill all of which are amazing size. the animals are all a blast to see and the rooster makes a good alarm clock. cell service isn't great but that just makes it a perfect getaway

My family had a great time. The farmhouse has plenty of room and a lot to explore. The grounds of the farmhouse have a variety of animals. Great for the whole family.

Five long time college friends and I recently spent three nights at Mohican Farmhouse in Perrysville, OH. We could not have been more pleased with the farmhouse both inside and out! The house itself was immaculate, beds were comfortable, new bathroom large, dining area farm table just right for breakfast for the six of us, screened in porch perfect for early morning and later evening without any bugs. The property itself is beautiful...well cared for and maintained gardens surround the house, patio, porch, and guest house. We enjoyed feeding the kitties who came to our door, the goats and chickens, and getting up close to the llamas, alpaca and the brown sheep! Most of our time was spent in Loudonville, Millersburg, and Berlin checking out all the stores and antique shops. Had great food at the Hanover House Diner, The Mohican Tavern, the Olde World Bakery, Boyd and Wurthmann Restaurant. Be sure to stop at the Mohican Country Market and Guggisburg Cheese in Charm, OH.

Nice old farmhouse. Fishing, paddle boats, animals galore. Not far from Mohican Adventures which has a canoe livery, putt putt and climbing obstacle course. Gas line and other trail into Mohican right up the street from the house.
