The owners are super friendly. Tanks always look clean. Some stuff can be pricy. But it's already made it through shipping and stress acclimated. They will order stuff if it's not in stock, my porcelain crabs were no problem. The last thing I got was an anemone. The price on those are good. I just got this piece of live rock; last week. It has some red/white tube worms which can go for over 50 bucks on a rock alone with anemone for 40. I'm happy. At least stop in and say hi to the puffer fish they will definitely beg. (My picture dosent do it justice. Great colors. Really coming out under my lights.

Loved it. No one's ever asked me how many lbs of live rock I'm running. Idk guesstimate. Instead, he's either just super passionate about this bottled BB or he thought he saw a sucker. But the store was more than I expected. Next time I won't crash em at close to close. Get to spend some time. The owner was more than willing to answer questions and didn't make me feel dumb. Been keeping fishrooms for 20 plus years. Only marine for a year. So It's nice to finally find a saltwater fish store, honestly.

If you are looking for fish or supplies for your tank Coral Reef is the place to visit. Susan and her team are amazing. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

Mike and the gang there have been terrific helping me through the first few weeks of my new hobby. Their personal touch on making sure I succeed has been top notch. I'm sure they are sick of seeing me already because I'm in there a few times a week but I truly believe they enjoy what they do and don't mind helping a newbie like me. And please don't listen to the reviews that spoke badly about the owner, she has always been very pleasant and helpful when I go in.

I typically don’t write reviews and I especially don’t like bashing family owned businesses but the owners of this store can be some of the rudest individuals frequently belittling you and attempting to make you feel stupid no matter your experience. I must say the bald man working at the store is extremely kind, helpful and genuinely just good to talk to. The owners on the other hand try to act like good hearted Christian people but they’re just rude. I gave them entirely too much business over a few years and finally just got fed up with them and their attitude. Maybe their nice to some of their customers but I’ve read plenty of other reviews with people feeling the same. The fish are way over priced for example, a regular ocellaris clown costs $50+, while everywhere else I go they’re roughly $20-$30 (same if not better quality) I was happy to pay extra to support a local business but not if they’re going to ungrateful/disrespectful. If I were someone looking for saltwater fish go to Petco in Bowling Green they have an incredible saltwater selection and ironically enough the big name business has more knowledgeable, polite employees. I would avoid the coral reef at all costs, they don’t deserve the business.

After a disappointing drive to Toledo where Aquarium World denied my girlfriend and I service we called this place. They were AMAZING to us. Their store is the cleanest salt water store I have seen since moving to Ohio. They served us well after closing time. And even tried to piece together a filter they had in the back to sell us for a DIY idea I had. All their fish were happy and healthy. We ended up buying more than we originally were going to. Great customer service goes a long way. Thank you Coral Reef for treating us well and providing warm cheerful service.

Staff is rude, prices are high. And they charge a fee to use a card. Every time I have been in this store I feel like I’m treated like an inconvenience. The only nice guy in this store is the older bald gentleman. The owner lady is rude and so is the other gentleman. Also if your looking for higher end corals this isn’t the store. I’ve never seen any serious sps corals in here or anything more than a decent looking montipora species.

Mark and Susan are very knowledgeable and are truly passionate about this hobby. We don't go to any other fish store. They've been happy to answer all of our questions and have always been honest with us, even when it meant suggesting we don't buy something because our tank would not be ready for it. It is slightly pricier than other places but it is worth it and they are never pushy. The fish are healthy and beautiful and if they don't have something in stock they are happy to order it for you. They are dedicated to their customers and are always willing to work with you. For a hobby that takes a lot of money, dedication and knowledge, we have found we can rely on Mark and Susan for honesty, knowledge and support. I would love to see this business grow and thrive.

Extremely rude lady who is the owner. I had dropped of fish in the past and she said she would give me a deal the next time I came in. She did knock off $10 the fish I wanted but was not at all friendly about discussing the price and just rudely walked away from me when we were talking. I felt like she told me to F off in her mind. I never have been treated that badly by a sales person before. I bought the fish anyway because it was a beautiful one. I tried make conversation with her during checkout but she continued to refuse to talk to me and never smiled.The fish seem healthy but the prices are very high there. As an alternative go to the Petco in Bowling Green. You may think salt water fish at Petco? but I can tell you they have very healthy fish there and the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and will be glad to give you any advice you would like. Plus they do special orders getting almost anything you would like. Fish prices are much much cheaper and they get there fish from reputable vendors. Highly recommended them.

4 months ago I decided to start a 55gal reef tank. I went to some other stores in the area, but when I walked into Mark and Susan's store it was completely different. I found people that care about their livestock and are passionate about their business. I decided then that they had my business exclusively. They have always answered every question I've had, no matter how stupid, and have always been very professional and fair. They keep clean tanks and a clean store. Lots of frags, and always getting in new coral.Incidentally, regarding the lengthy negative review from the other gentleman... He had come back into the store looking for turbo snails and I was there. They did not have any come in that week because of the hurricanes down south, and you were very rude to Susan. She tried to help, but not sure how someone can stop a hurricane. Take it for what it's worth, but if you're kind to people, you get kindness back. Just my opinion. Everyone else - give these people a try. It's a great shop!

I have been coming here for over a year now and it has always been a good experience for me. Super friendly owners, they are very helpful with advice and care about their customers. I wouldn't go anywhere else in the area for my reef tank supplies and fish. Great selection and very clean/well kept. Being new in the Hobby, I find this to be the best store for saltwater fish around! They take EXCELLENT care of their fish and know what they are talking about. They have an amazing selection of species. I would not go anywhere else. I’d recommend the drive to anyone who wants quality and expertise.

The fish tanks that hold these beauties are kept very clean and it's very relaxing to just walk around and look at them. The owners are not pushy or annoying at all. Very nice people and very knowledgeable. Which is why I come here often. Love, love, love it!!!

Was in there recently. Like some have said, nothing listed or their corresponding prices, which can be annoying if just browsing the inventory. Prices were also pretty high, but I wanted something so I dug out my wallet. If you buy a 2nd fish they will lower that price sometimes. Overall a nice experience, decent livestock, clean [huge plus here], and fairly friendly. I'd come back if a special intrigued me...but $75 for a scooter blenny, 10 blue leg crabs, and 6 snails is undeniably pretty high. That's why it's 4 stars instead of 5.

First let me say I am from Toledo, Ohio and all the fish stores in Toledo SUCK. This place is very close to Toledo and is probably the best place to buy saltwater around Toledo.Prices:I don't really like the fact that nothing has a price on it. You must ask the price. (which is sketchy for people new to the hobby). I was able to work with them on some things but your better off making the travel to Michigan if your looking for a good deal on corals/fishSelection:Much like the price, you must ask what kind of fish/coral you are purchasing NOTHING HAS A LABELQuality:Coral- Good but mainly all zoaFish- not too bad but not too goodService:Great help and good customer service.I would have gave it 5 stars if the prices&labels were posted. If the prices were cheaper I would have even gave it 5 stars. The venue itself is pretty small and the selection is pretty limited. Overall if your from Toledo and don't feel like driving up to Michigan The Coral Reef Inc is the place for you!

Best saltwater fish store in the Toledo Area! Have been a customer for atleast 14 years. I have checked out other stores and always end up back at The Coral Reef. The drive to Perrysburg is worth it. Clean store, healthy fish, friendly atmosphere, and always has a great selection on corals with good deals too. Susan is very knowledgeable and helpful.

I've been dealing with Mike and Susan about a month now. Im new to saltwater and Mike was the first person I spoke with about getting setup. I left the store with a complete established reef tank with coral and fish. This leap frogged a addiction and I have been putting together a few tanks now and Mike and Susan have went above and beyond in being there to answer any questions.I had a anemone die which is a big thing. It was Sunday morning I contacted Mike who was at church he responded with what to do and being in danger over having the entire tank at risk Mike had a employee meet me Sunday evening to get supplies to get my tank in shape and make it safe. Thats top notch customer service they have a customer for life now. Thank you so much Mike and Susan for all your help and knowledge 🙏Sincerely The new best customer at Coral Reef for life

One of the cleanest places I've been in. Some really good deals on frags 20 dollars the zoas has 10 plus heads. There is a very good selection of fish and coral. They also have a huge clam always so amazed by them lol.

Went there today and got a real good deal on some frags got 5 frags for 50 bucks can't get that anywhere else and even their larger frags are a good deal bought 2 really decent frags for 25 ea last week great store worth the 1 hr and 45 min round trip

Will NEVER go back there again. My boyfriend and I are from the Dayton area and was browsing around when he noticed a purple tang had white under its dorsal fin. When he told the lady working, she dismissed it and told us there was nothing wrong with her fish. He tried to take a picture of the tang and she placed her hand in front of the camera, he told her she was being extremely rude and that we were only trying to help her fish if krypto had set in. We took our leave, and in getting into our car she took a picture of our plates. Do not shop there, take your business elsewhere.

You'll find other fish stores in the area, but you'll find that this is the place to be. All saltwater fish and corals. Beautiful selection! And the knowledge that they have is priceless. Don't waste your gas going anywhere else... this is the spot!
