One of the train stops within the park though the train wasn't running when i visited it starts in may. Staff is helpful and informative. Restrooms are available and a small village surrounds the area for you to explore. There are picnic tables available by the volunteer check in building. This is the starting point for the Buckeye trail which you take for a 2.8 mile out and back hike to blue hen falls

Really cool place! I stopped at the visitor center to check out the souvenirs. I got a few things there. The shop was smaller than other national parks I’ve been to. I saw both waterfalls here! The hike to blue hen was pretty muddy so keep that in mind! Place was very busy and finding a place to park was pretty difficult. They also had really nice restrooms near the visitors center as well!

Super cute visiting center with maps of all the trails and info times for train arrival and departure. Next to Blue Hen Falls - a steep 1-2hr hike to waterfalls. We skipped the hike since limited on time and traveled across the bridge and river to visit the gift shop. Their locally made ice cream was delicious . They also have rocking chairs on a porch to enjoy treats while visiting with friends.

I visited a friend for Christmas and we came here for a little while. Definitely got our steps in and saw beautiful scenery! Thank you! I wish I could go there everyday. Loved the bridges, water, and available restrooms along the path.

Stop here first to get info and maps. The entire park is gorgeous, TONS to do! Bike paths, hiking, kayaking, etc. The rangers are very helpful and friendly. In the visitor's center you'll find merchandise including t-shirts, books, stickers, postcards, and don't forget to stamp your passport. From here, walk across the bridge to the small village of historic buildings and ice cream! Ask about the scenic train ride and have a blast exploring this amazing national treasure.

We visited on April 7th; the day before the eclipse….the visitor center was CRAZY packed full of people, and the line to check out was long. The staff were AMAZING. They were patient and pleasant and working hard. Well done, Cuyahoga National Park and Boston Mill visitor center!!!! Thank you!!!!

The Boston Mill Visitor Center is a key stop if you are visiting the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Here you can find maps of the park, traditional souvenirs, and some nice historic buildings for photo ops. It's right on the river and is a great starting point for the tow path trail and trails to two different waterfalls. The park rangers are also very helpful and have a lot of good hiking suggestions. Right around the corner is a shop in a historic hotel where you can buy snacks and ice cream. Just note that the parking lot directly in front of the visitor center tends to fill up quickly, but a couple hundred feet down the road there is plenty of additional parking (for cars and RVs).

Very informative center with lots of resources for the visitors. There is a beautiful and big 3D model of the park. The merch here is great as well: Cups, t-shirts, books, etc etc.A couple of rangers here gave me great recommendations and guide for hiking. There is a rather small size parking lot that might get full on busy weekends.

The park rangers were so helpful! They were all patient, informative and talkative. We visited during an extremely crowded time and waited over an hour to check out. There was only one cashier most of the time because the other one would leave to straighten shelves when they weren't really messed up at all? This was with people lined out the door!Interesting place with excellent postcards for the eclipse!

Stopped here before hiking at Ledges and Brandywine Gorge. I was so impressed with their offerings and customer service! The park staff was asking folks if they had any questions and seemed very helpful. They had a wide variety of reasonably-priced merchandise, including for the upcoming solar eclipse. The designs are really thoughtful and beautiful, and the magnet I bought will symbolize the once-in-a-lifetime eclipse for years to come. I really appreciate the thought that the National Park Service has put into these designs, and aren't just slapping a name/half hearted design onto merchandise for a quick buck.

Stopped by mid-day on a Friday and the station was moderately busy, but no wait. The Park Ranger were on hand to answer questions about the park and it's history. Ranger Ryan was a great help! Pointing out interesting spots in the park. His help made our day at the park one to remember.

Visitor center has a decent sized parking lot, and the building itself has some info on the park and a few things to buy. I believe the train stop is there too. You can also access the Bukeye trail here which is what I did to Blue Hen Falls. It was about an hour round trip, up and down some steep hills. The trail is along highway and road for some of the time...but once you get to the falls it is quite nice. Can continue on to other trails as well. Nice stop

Small visitor center compared to some we have been to. Nice selection of things to buy. Plenty of rangers making sure all questions are answered.

A very well maintained visitor center with amazing staff who truly value America’s National Parks. The center sells merchandise and has a wealth of information about the history of the park. Restrooms are on the top floor. Stamps for the National Park Passport is available in a cosy corner.John was the staff member who helped me at the visitor center. He was very informative and provided me with the right suggestions, since my time at the park was limited. He also consulted with the Ranger and advised me of 3 to 4 spots that I could visit within a two hour duration. I truly appreciate the service provided by national park staff members who genuinely want every visitor to have an amazing visit.Thank you John!

Sharing this for my clients, most of whom are avid outdoors people! The visitor's center is right next to the canal towpath- they sell drinks and snacks in addition to books and other canal related merchandise. The towpath is relatively flat and is perfect for cycling, more than 20 miles long. You can kayak the river too. Whether you're in Cincinnati, Columbus, or Pittsburgh, it's worth the trip. As of now there's two ski parks open too, and very close by.

This visitor center is gorgeous and is built right next to the river. Inside, there is a small gift shop and some small exhibits about the area and the national park itself. The ranger was very informative and helpful as to what we could do during the day. We didn't have much time, but she pointed us to the right direction and gave us some options as to what to do.There were also some beautiful wild flowers around the visitor center! It is very peaceful there.

Amazing service and great souvenirs. Of course the prices are but higher, but as the initial point of contact in starting a hiking trail, they are very friendly, informative, and knowledgable. The environment is super clean, welcoming and maintained. Definitely going to be one of our routine summer visits from now on. Especially a 3 hour hike to Blue Hen waterfall just off the Buckeye trail. Sure to get your blood flowing.

When I was a kid, this used to be a pleasant little community where everyone knew each other and were all friendly. Most of my family lived here. I have a lot of good memories from the area. Then the park came in and forced everyone to sell their property so they could destroy all their homes. Now it's overrun with hippies, tree-huggers, and wacko liberals who drive Subarus and Volvos. And Peninsula is even worse. It's best to just avoid the area, especially on weekends. It's been spoiled.
