The workers at this store were really rude! My number was called and the lady said the number really low and I was all the way on the other side of the counter and when the changed the number I let her know I didnt hear her call my number she glared at me and said “well you need to wait for the next person”. I waited patiently and the man came up and I asked if he could help me and he said “nope I’m going to lunch”. There’s no customer service there and the workers are rude. I’ll be contacting corporate and I won’t be going to this location no more.

This store make me sick to my stomach physically! I lived next door for 6 years and never seen a colored person work there ever and the old woman at the register are horrible human beings period. Do not shop here... Every time I go into this store I feel like I'm in Jim Crowe Mississippi, something has to change, it's 2024. And of course they pick and choose who is treated with great service. They must be held accountable just like everyone else !

The white old short hair blonde lady cashier is beyond rude!! Every single time she is at the front register when my husband and I come in, she’s glaring at us, doesn’t greet us but will greet every white person that comes in after us. I hope she enjoyed putting back our $80+ worth of meat and sides. Just because she had to make another comment about me needing a new card (mine is in bad shape but works after a couple swipes/ with receipt paper) she swiped my card twice and said “it’s not working”. I told her I can use receipt paper and she said “it don’t work like that!” She is the only cashier that gives me a hard time and is extremely unpleasant! I took my card back and told her that she needs to work on her customer service skills and the receipt paper does work because other cashiers there do it all of the time and that she is the only person at that store that treats us this way. We won’t miss that place and definitely will not miss her!!

I've been going to this place for many years and it's always been awesome. They have a knowledgeable and friendly staff, always willing to answer questions, and provide extra service if needed. Look for Ed behind the counter if you want excellent service.

I love coming here but as of recently it was frustrating to drive all the way there since their website states they close at 7 pm and their sign on the door says 6pm.

Always quality cuts of meat at relatively decent prices however the staff there can be a bit sketchy at times in particular their cashiers. I think their cashiers and staff in general need a bit more training on being LGBT friendly. There's an older lady cashier who always seems to be there when I shop who will not speak other than to tell me the total. I will not be going back to that shop anymore as the staff has made me feel uncomfortable and unappreciated. I'll be taking my business else where from now on.

Great pricing! A lot to choose from. Always have some kind of deal going on. All the meat here is fresh and cut every morning. Workers are patient and very friendly. The cashier sometimes gives free cookies to the kids once you check out. There are usually samples you can try. They even have some produce that looks as if it was just picked off the field. Definitely recommend shopping here!

Love this place. Where else can you order and get any kind of meat that you want. Everything is homemade and deliscious. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. We go here as often as possible when we are in town. We love the marinated chicken breasts. The steaks are awesome. The stuffed pork chops are so good.

Always have great service behind the counter. They bend over backwards to serve each person. Unfortunately if you want to pay with a debit or credit card with a chip I was told they can't accept them. New card readers dont take cards with chips. Had to leave without my meat because I had no cash or checks with me. All my cards have chips.😪

Will not be back. Lost a lifelong customer who regularly spent $200 in your store. I went in to your store today and asked for a tray of the crab salad like I have every year (roughly 10 lbs.). When I asked I point at the large tray in the cooler and told the woman behind the counter I wanted one about the size of what was in the cooler. She said so only a lb or two. I repeated myself, no I wanted a tray full of crab salad. A second woman comes out and I reiterated what I wanted to her. She decided to rudely tell me I needed to order it ahead of time next time (even though I never have in the past, if there wasn’t enough I would have just bought something else this time). When I saw her grab a bucket I let her know again I wanted it in a tray since we were taking it to a party. She let out a big sigh and rolled her eyes at me. You guys need to teach your employees how to handle themselves. Maybe some listening skills would be beneficial too... never have I been so rudely treated there. Will not be back. I’ll head over to Tanks in Elmore next time instead...

The Starr location seems to be great everytime i go in. The employees are very helpful and polite even the new ones, they must have good trainers. Some things cost a little more than the big stores but for me its closer/ more convenient.

I am a Carnivore! I am also a member of PETA, (PEOPLE EATING TASTY ANIMALS!). This being said, The House of Meats is the ONLY PLACE in, or around, all of North Western Ohio, where you get the highest quality of MEAT, for your money! It's the ONLY place that I purchase Beef, Pork, Chicken, Monster Scallops, (to much to list), from. They are ABSOLUTELY FANOMINAL! (And yes, I grew up on a farm, where we butchered our own livestock! I know CHOICE MEAT!)

Excellent service! Friendly people! Good quality! Free samples! Instructions on cooking and seasoning! They will even season the meat for you! At the checkout, a cold cooler full of beer!!!
