Inside of the building was old but that's ok since it's a small business in the country. The fried onion thins were great and very reasonably priced under $5 for an appetizer. I had the small blt which had plenty of bacon but the mac & cheese was bland with hardly any cheese. He had the large cod sandwich and boy was it large. Waitress was nice and never let the diet coke run dry. Would go again and get the onion thins but try something else from the menu.

The food is good and the service IF YOU DINE IN is good. They do NOT answer the phone for carryout. I hate to not support the local economy, but can’t eat in all the time. Guess my business is not important. I spoke a waiteress and the manager. Too bad, I wonder if the owner knows what is going on? Guess I’ll have to take my business elsewhere. ☹️

This place is clean inside and out, staff very nice.. friendly and efficient,one lady helped me get my wheelchair out the door and the food is delicious with good sized portions at a reasonable price...Wheelchair accessibility: My brother wheeled me in,one of the ladies that works there held door for me and assisted getting me out the door

Used to enjoy this restaurant but the past 2 times I've been disappointed to the point I will never eat at this place again.. ordered bone- in wing's instead of telling me that they were out of bone-in the cook just sends me boneless wings... NO not acceptableThen I arrived at 10:10 am ordered grilled ham and cheese with french fries 🍟 but I finished my sandwich before the fries ever arrived.. apparently they don't turn the fryer on until 10:30-11... Then instead of taking the french fries off at 399 a side she only deducted $299 seems like a non caring staff.. won't go backParking: New pavement; no more gravel

Good, friendly, down home folks @ the Country Barrel. Homemade Country Style Breakfasts just like Grandma taught me 2 make. Waitresses are Friendly & Attentive. This Place can get busy & packed out fast the ladies do their best to keep up with the their tables. Good open space. Don't feel like ur sitting right on top of other patrons like another family owned restaurant not far from it in Millville. And the food doesn't even come close 2 comparing. The Country Barrel blows 'em off the Map..!!

This is all around a good diner, kind of a hidden gem off the beaten path. My family and I will definitely return. The only downside that I saw was the cook is a little skimpy on food items. An example is my wife ordered an omelet with tomatoes mushrooms and cheese and they were clearly six diced tomato pieces and the omelet and barely any cheese. I ordered home fries with mushroom onion cheese and I found four mushrooms in the entire dish. But the flavors were spot on for the most part, as I said good diner food.

It was a nice place to go for a good country breakfast. There's nothing fancy about it, but that's fine. My wife and I had "The bottom of the barrel omelet" that came with toast. It was good and filling. There were five others who ate with us, and no one complained about their choice of food.

Great food, but poor service and unwelcoming atmosphere. I felt like an inconvenience to the employees. We get you are busy, but A friendly, "hey how are you" when you walk in the door goes a long way and takes no time. Be pleasant, upbeat, and friendly towards your customers. If they are regulars call them by their name. Just little things to make people feel welcome when they come. You should thank customers for their patience when you're busy, tell them have a great day and you hope to see them back soon. The first time we came here it was seat yourself, we went a few weeks later sat ourselves and was purposely ignored and tables who came in long after us were getting their orders taken. Apparently it's only seat yourself when it's slow for them.. How are customers suppose to know that? Go get a please wait to be seated sign and put it up! The food is really good, but for how unwelcome I felt I will not be back.

First time going in to eat there, and the thing that bothered me most was having waited so long to try it. My wife and I had burgers, and everything was prepared great. Will definitely go back... We need to try the breakfasts as well.EDIT -Been back quite a few times. If you haven't tried this place yet, you are missing out. One of my favorite places to eat anywhere.

Barrel Sandwich served open face with all the breakfast foods (bacon, potatoes, egg, bacon , on toast, covered in sausage gravy) is particularly good. I usually eat half and save the other half for the next breakfast. All the employees are sweet. Linda has served us for years!! We adore her. If you go on the weekends, they are open later. Try the pork chops. Very good.

It was good. A nice little hole in the wall spot. I'd rather support local than to give to big corporations. Bigger selection of breakfast than chain places. Had lunch there and it was really good. Burger and fries were on point.

I've been here a few times, now, on motorcycle rides with buddies, and this could be the "poster boy" (or girl!) for a fun, old-school roadside eatery with very good food at good prices. Friendly as all get-out; my last time there one of the staff (maybe the manager?) suddenly struck up "Happy Birthday" on an upright piano against a side wall for one of the customers. Big smiles and cheers all around. The place is very much a diner, with many many framed photos going back decades on the walls.

Excellent service on a busy weekend. Recommend the Okeana burger with onion straws and homemade chili. Always love seeing a Patty Melt on the menu.
