The staff actual cares about animals. They do a very thorough checkup, and really listen to your pets needs. I have stopped using fremonts vet service since going to them. It's worth the extra drive for my furry freinds.

Never been here but have been calling around trying to find a vet for my mini pig. Upon calling the lady on the phone had a very rude tone. She proceeded to tell me MULTIPLE times that she would have to check with the vet but if the vet did decide to see my girl, she would have to be brought in. Legit told me 5 times in the first 2 mins on the call. Just did not like her attitude, I had to just hang up.

Doc Stone is a straight up guy, at least he tells me what is going on, unlike that vet in Fremont, they almost killed my cat and didn't have the guts to even tell me, they made the vet tec do it on her way out the door .. So yes Dr Stones vet clinic is the way to go, 5 stars 🌟 for sure 👏 👌.

We took our guinea pig "Lucy" to have her treated for a sore on her legs. Dr. Hegemier was very gentle and had no problem checking her out and giving us medicine. There is no doubt that he and the staff love animals & their caretakers. Thank You!!

Oak Harbor Vet has been doing very well at taking care of my baby girl! They realize and respect how much my dog means to me and they treat her and I so good. They are helping with giving my dog the medication she needs and the love and attention too that they give (which she is all about) Pumpkin used to hate the vet, but she's really started to worm up to this place.

They messed up my appointment, but got the stray in anyways. So I really appreciated that. The receptionist wasn't very friendly , the vet was very nice and took the time to answer my questions on my pup who also had a appointment. Thought it was expensive, but that could be all vets these days.

It was our 1st time there. We were so happy to be able to get in the next day. The office and rooms are so clean and do not smell like animal at all. We didn't have a long wait. We were in and out within 45 minutes. Very affordable and the staff are so caring of our little guy. Highly recommend.

Dr. Joshua Hegemier is the best veterinarian we have ever had the honor of dealing with. He knew just what to do for our Daisy. We were privileged to have more time to love her because of his treatment protocol. He also knew how to help us deal with giving her back to God when the time came.

We came across Oak Harbor Vet when we were on a trip away from our established vet in Tennessee. I called three other vet offices that all said, "we have no appointments this week" and when I asked for their guidance on whether what we were facing was an emergency they said they couldn't help. When I called Oak Harbor they also said they had no appointments, however when I told them what was happening and if we needed to get to the hospital they told us to come right in.Our experience start to finish went that same way. The whole office was compassionate, responsive, understanding and fought so hard along with us. It was a trying journey for three weeks that didn't result in our sweet boy being next to us right now, but we continually feel BLESSED that Dr. Stone was next to us through it. We are confident in his skills and knowledge, and that he fought hard in this war, cared, and was genuinely invested. I highly recommend this team.

We had to take our beagle, Buddy, to the Oak Harbor Veterinary Hospital. Buddy was not an established patient. They diligently tried to diagnose his problem. Ultimately, we had to put him down. They were so kind and caring. I feel like they went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Dr. Stone and this hospital.

This clinic has deteriorated in quality these past couple of years. Dr. Stone used to provide prompt visits, and great analysis and treatment for cats. But between 2019 and now, he's placed new doctors in charge without prior notice and lacks the bedside manner we appreciated. Since then, our visits have been like this:- A nurse took our usually quiet cat with a damaged leg to an x-ray room, somehow making her scream like she was being murdered the whole time- The same nurse nearly drowned a sick kitten by syringe-feeding him medicine so fast he choked. Kitten didn't even have teeth yet.- Made a prescription for specific flea meds, refilled the prescription for a year, then claimed they didn't give that type anymore when they had plenty displayed on a shelf, refused to give those meds regardless. Replacement meds give cats bald spots & itchy skin, and doesn't kill fleas.- When one of our cats died in their exam room, quickly suggested cremation while my mom was still crying over his corpse- When we returned for a different sick kitten, Stone did some blood tests and confirmed illness was terminal. When we decided to euthanize, he left us no time to say goodbye before struggling to find a vein and injecting the kitten.

Noticed my chocolate lab was starting to shake his head! I called Friday morning wanting wanting make an app! They got me in right away Friday morning witch was very convenient being I had the day off! Got in and out in a very timely manner! Poor guy had a double ear infection! Saturday morning after giving him his ear drops and meds and he has done an 100% tunr around!Highly recommend! I have always taken all of my animals to this office! Dr stone and Dr Josh are awesome

Great with my 2 shihtzus. They also do grooming and boarding next door so thats convenient. And, only about $40 to groom my dog. So, reasonably priced. A regular office visit is $35, so I guess it depends if other veterinarians are cheaper elsewhere, I didn't do the research. I thought it was reasonable. Didnt try to sell me a bunch of extras my dog doesn't need which is nice. Genuinely care about your pet. Thorough and friendly staff. Even saw my pet during the pandemic. Under strict guidelines and criteria, of course. Overall, love this place and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Went through the hardest time of my life my 12 yr old dog got sick and it was time to make a decision and they was so loving comforting for me and Macy had to make a choice I didn't want to but they handled everything including her cremation I got her back fast I can't thank you enuff even kno I'm heartbroken

The vets and staff all care about your animals. I can't stress that enough. They don't look at people as a pay day they genuinely care for what they do. And they take great care of your animals no matter what's going on.
