Probably one of the nicest rescues I’ve been to, we adopted a little kitten for our daughter and she is the sweetest thing. Their foster families for kittens must be wonderful because she is the sweetest thing and sleeps cuddled up with my daughter. It’s so clean and organized, they greet you immediately and everyone is pleasant to talk to.

My partner Leon and I want to thank all of the sweet staff at Rescue Village for making our adotion of Sheriff a wonderful experience after the overwhelming grief we were experiencing after losing our dog Buddy.Sheriff loves his new home and back yard. Dedicated, friendly staff. Though we didn't adopt a dog during this last visit, we appreciated their patience and willingness to help. The facility is exceptionally clean. The animals awaiting adoption are very well cared for.

I cannot begin to say how much I loved this place. It was my first time. They made the adoption process so incredibly easy. The entire staff was accommodating and so friendly. The facility was SO CLEAN!!! It didn't smell!! Not even in the kennels! The cats were well taken care of. They were also so clean. Clean litter boxes. This is how a rescue should be run. I will only adopt from this shelter from now on. And I will be recommending this place to family and friends.

The people here take there time, they make sure the animals are ready and learn there personality not like lost where they are just thrown in and off you go. I have adopted 3 cats from them and I tell everyone to go there. Love this place

I adopted a kitten from here a few months ago. Having the adoption specialist help me choose the best kitten was a 10/10 experience. They showed me a kitten who I hadnt even noticed and told me all about his personality. He got along great with our current cat. I cant express enough how perfect the match was. The only issue I had was the kitten had slightly goopy eyes and sneezed constantly. I dont thinn he had fully gotten over his illness from earlier which he then passed onto my older cat. Theyre both great now but still have occasional goopy eyes.

We went on a wild Saturday. There were probably 100 people going through there. Dogs and cats were getting adopted left and right. They let you interact with the animals before you pick one. They also had guinea pugs, roosters, and even 2 full size pigs.

Facility was Clean, home like, very informative . Went there to help Grandkids donate their lemonade stand fund raising $120! I saw Roxann- fell in love and we were back the next am . She has been wonderful!

I have been looking for a boxer for a few weeks and I came across Moose at Rescue Village. It was a very good experience all the way around. I've rescued dogs before and I have never seen such a dedicated staff. Exceptional in every way.

This place has never let me down. I've gotten dogs here in the past and this last weekend we came in to look at dogs and found a couple we liked. We were aloud to visit as many dogs as we liked. With the help of staff members, we were able to narrow down which dog was best for our lifestyle and that would get along with other dogs. Every dog that is ready for adoption has been spayed or neutered. Our 2 month old puppy was up to date on her shots, and they let us know at 3 months what she would need and supplied a list of vets in all the local cities. We even received some puppy chow they've been using to mix with what we get in order to ease her stomach into her new food. We were able to get her license, leash, collar.Very kind people and the place always seems clean compared to other places I've visited.Highly recommend adopting from Rescue Village. Ive gotten past 2 dogs from there and my current puppy 😊

I was hesitant to write this review because I admire the work that Rescue Village does and agree that the staff are very kind and made my adoption process easy. However, I adopted a kitten who has had tons of health issues in her first month—worms, an upper respiratory infection, and pancreatitis. She has been in poor health since the day I got her, and was only with the shelter for two days (being spayed on the second day) before the adopted her out. I really don’t feel like they did their due diligence with the quality of her health before adopting.I understand that it’s expensive for shelters to treat these things, but she had symptoms the literal day I brought her home so any amount of observation would have indicated she had problems. When I called the shelter they declined to help me (again, I understand that they cannot treat cats not currently under the care) and was underwhelmed by their response. I don’t think my concerns were taken seriously, and I’m not sure that the adopters of her litter mate were warned about their issues.I don’t regret adopting from here and really love my (now quite expensive) kitty. But I did tons of research on the best shelters in the Cleveland area, and was disappointed that Rescue Village did not live up to their reputation in this case. This is always possible with cat adoptions—so I would encourage everyone to fully investigate their animals before adopting, set them up with a vet ASAP, and purchase pet insurance regardless of their shelter.

This is my second adoption and a beautiful addition to my family. “Taco” has quickly become the Queen of the house. The staff of Rescue Village are outstanding and clearly love every animal in the shelter. I’d highly recommend them to everyone who wants/needs an addition to their family.

This place was great. They have very helpful and loving staff members that show They have knowledge of the animals that they serve. They are doing excellent work. The prices are also wonderful for the animals that they help to find forever homes. I would give them a 5 star rating if they had the ability to work with a trainer to teach more significant commands besides leash training. But, the leash training they provide to the animals appears to be superior to other shelters. Also, they have very clean facilities which matters to myself and my wife as it means they care not just for the animals but also themselves and the customers. We recommend this facility to anyone looking for an adoptable animal. Thanks for introducing us to Eli.

This is the nicest shelter I've ever been to. I have never seen a shelter where pets were so calm and content. It didn't even smell strong, as shelters usually do (which is understandable). Also the staff were very kind and accommodating, thorough and true animal lovers. I would highly recommend this place to anybody seeking to adopt a pet! We got this guy, and he's been the perfect addition to our family. Our family is now complete!

This is the first time I’ve adopted from here and I will recommend to anyone who is interested in adoption. I left a voicemail about a puppy I was interested in and received a call back promptly. They informed me to come early if I was interested because there may be a line before opening. I arrived two hours early and waited outside. Numerous staff members came outside and talked to me, offered me water and if needed allowed me to use the bathroom while I waited. After many other people showed up to wait after me, staff came outside to make sure everybody entered based on who arrived first. He made sure I was the first one in. Everybody was extremely friendly and the facility both outside and inside was beautiful and clean. You can tell the staff really cares for the well being of all the animals. The process of adoption was smooth, and they provide you with lots of great information and guidance. I am so happy with the puppy I adopted!

Went there to look for a dog. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The dog we were looking at ended up not liking cats. So, unfortunately we did not adopt. We keep looking at Rescue Village to see if the one is there.

I love this shelter, they treat their animals with care and the staff clearly loves what they do. I found my forever friend here, max. He's the sweetest dog and a perfect fit for me. The adoption process was smooth and I felt well informed and confident bringing him home. It's been about two years since then and max is one of the best things to ever happen to me. I couldn't have found him without this place.

We couldn't be more pleased with our adopted dog Bebe (now known as Princess). She is adjusting well to her new home and is so well behaved it seems as if she came from a purebred trainer, instead of a rescue organization.
