Way over priced for OUTDATED products. No dates on fresh fruit, mold in fruits. Yogurt shelved with 2 days expired. Milk outdated. Who checks your expiration dates? Store quality has gone downhill.

Love the store, cool people in there. This review is for the doughnuts....a recent change to the yeast doughnuts had resulted in a subpar product. We used to go in there every other weekend for them, but can't do it anymore as they are just disgusting at this point. Still love the store just not the yeast doughnuts.

I don’t know how they have such a good rating. Every time I have went here I’ve felt judged/harassed by staff members. I assure you I have not stolen a thing in my lifetime and I make decent money. If you dye your hair, have tattoos and are in your 20s I suggest you go to Walmart or Millers. This place is extremely not friendly. I didn’t know I could do money orders elsewhere until today as I’m newer to town. I don’t think I will be coming back for money services. I love the options that the bakery, health and beauty, wine and the food has! I would be really sad going somewhere else, but I won’t let shopping somewhere cost my mental peace. Extremely unprofessional and rude. Do better.

We stop in just to buy what I would call 'ethnic' beans. Cardinals in Sandusky used to sell them. My husband calls them hillbilly or southern beans - butter beans, field peas, crowder beans, black eyed peas, etc. His roots are Kentucky and Georgia and I know skads of people in our area who cook 'hillbilly food' like he does. I hope this store never stops selling them.

I suggest hiring people that know what they're doing in the deli. The one girl doesn't know how to cut cheese or meat and yesterday (3/12) we went in to get lunch meat.. the man overcharged us by $2 per pound and when we said something to him, he said "that's just the way the scale reads", someone had to come correct the price for him. They both were rude, just threw the bag of lunch meat on the counter and didn't even say have a nice day. POOR Customer service. These young people need a life lesson!!

We always stopped here on our way to the lake where we have a cottage. We like to get chicken tenders and other stuff in hotcase, but lately it's been out of tenders and the lady that waited on us a few times was short and rude when my husband asked for tenders. We were told no and she wouldn't be making any for awhile.

I love Schild's. Their prices might only sometimes be better than Walmart & other grocery stores, but the food is good & their beer selection is top notch. I found a beer there that's now my favorite. When they ran out, I asked about it & they started ordering it regularly just for me! They'll always have my business. They're super nice & friendly.

I shop here every two weeks for my mom, who is unable to do it herself anymore. The store is very clean, very well stocked and employees are so helpful and friendly. The gentlemen who bag the groceries ALWAYS offer to take the groceries to the car for me. I'm 66 and still able to do it on my own, but how refreshing to actually have a gentleman and, by the way, there was also a lady on one occasion, that offered to take them out for me. It is a little more expensive than where I shop, I go to a larger town, but I am so impressed by the smaller town courtesy you don't find elsewhere. In my book, it's well worth the extra.

Wonderful grocery store with a lovely deli & bakery. Their glazed croissants are to die for. They have nice hot food items & great prices and sales. They carry a great variety of food items, sometimes items you can’t find at big chains. They have a wonderful houseplant selection, too!

I bought 6 cream stix for $8.34, ($1.39 a piece), smaller, barely any cream in them, a pathetic excuse for what they once were!! At this point, they can eat them!! Never again!! There is more cream in a twinkie

These folks are awesome! Kudos to Bonnie! They did for me what I couldn't get a any of the local florist to do . . . make a special Valentine delivery to my husband at his work site on Valentine's Day! This was an out of the ordinary request (by phone, I am out of state) that they did perfectly and promptly! If I ever get to Norwalk, I will definitely patronize their store. Hat's off to Schild's IGA Marketplace and God bless them!

I love this place, it's always convenient and the folks are always nice. They have Sunday wine sales which is rare in our area. Needed them in a pinch for an impromptu Gathering of friends and was able to get the wine and beer needed for our group.

I've been going to Schild's IGA since I was a kid, and it's always been a great local market. If you are looking for good prepared foods, they have the best chicken fingers around - far better than any fast food place in the area. And the baked goods are always great, as well.

For a smaller three, they have what you need. I was a merchandiser here and loved seeing the employees interact with the customers. All very friendly, clean place with great sales. Better than Walmart. If they don't have it, the will get it for you

Food was good, but I brought my special man to the store and had a bad experience. Everyone kept staring at my special boy in his special man kart. The manager took my special man to the meat locker in the back and he’s never been the same since. I wanna know what happened in that locker

The only thing holding back a star is the prices. They have an excellent bakery and the best deli in Norwalk. They can be up to 3o% higher on some products but are a great small town grocery.

Wonderful small town, family owned grocery store. A very clean store and good prices. The meat and produce are very fresh and lots of local grown food. A very nice alternative to the big chain stores with completive prices.

The store was out of everything in their ad we went there for. I dont live in Norwalk so we had to travel about 20 minutes to get there which made the trip not worth while...I would suggest having more available in the coolers and over stock. With that said they did provide us with rain checks but that means another trip.

I'm originally from Vermilion and my son had moved out to Norwalk about 3 months ago. And wanted to say that the employees were so friendly and the store so clean, That You Don't See in a lot of places. And they have so many different things to choose from. Like candles, gifts, everything you can think of. I wish there were more stores around like this.Pam Majoras

Anyone who lives in Norwalk knows this is the BEST store for homemade deli foods , but if you're from out of town , you'll now have the same knowledge ,it may cost a little more than Wal-Mart's but it tastes 100 Xs better! And the service is supreme !!!
