We stumbled across this place on the way from Michigan to Washington DC on a road trip and OMG if you want to take a break at the coolest place you will ever see, this is it! First, biggest hardware store I've ever seen that wasn't, like, a box store. It has tons of crazy floors and back rooms and every one has some kind of surprise selection of something you wouldn't expect to find in a hardware store. There is a huge selection of Lionel trains, both O and H gauge, a whole section where everything is John Deere themed (and if you are a fan, this is a must-see, because I have never seen so many cute John Deere toys for little kids), a big puzzle section, a section full of those fabric windcatchers shaped like birds and frogs and witches, a very big section full of these gorgeously detailed large toy trucks...my son is 9 and if we had found this place when he had been about 4, we would have spent HUNDREDS of dollars there just on these trucks. They have tons of retro-type toys and knick-knacks, gag gifts, a section with tons of obscure brands and flavors of soda pop, and as it was the season (spring), when we visited they had two big pens full of baby ducks and chicks! We were so glad we wandered into this place and want it to always be there, because magical stores like this are a dying breed in our world, so if you are on the Ohio Turnpike near North Lima and want to spend a really amazing half hour, get off the turnpike right at the start of North Lima and look for Crouse Mill True Value Hardware. It will have a sign on the side that says "Great Train Store".

I have coming here as a kid and absolutely love stopping here when I pass through. Such a great place to shop for trains and model tractors!
