We visit quite often! Once a week, I take my daughter, who has autism, here because she loves to see all the different animals, reptiles, etc. The staff is always so nice and helpful! Love this place, my favorite employee drives the scooter/moped, "seasoned"man compared to most of the employees at PSP. He is always so helpful and knowledgeable!! I can never remember his name but he has an unforgettable face and personality!!!

A short little trip for some flea medicine for my doggo to a store and place of management ive never been too. A little discouraging and heart broken for the little ferret I asked so politely so interact with. It was late, the store was barely occupied. And of course this little ferret caught my eye, so playful and interested you could tell it wanted to burn of some steam! I asked nicely and politely to hold and see the cute little thing begging for my attention, and the worker replied to me with is, “stresses” them out to be handled? I was a little heart broken when she said that.. knowing because ive had experience with 4 ferrets, two when I was younger, and when I got older I decided to get two of my own, ferrets arent meant to be held in a glass tank for hours on end. They NEED interaction and play time. Especially when by themselves, he was alone in that tank. And All I wanted to give him was 5-10 minutes of love and attention. Im disappointed in the gauge the worker gave me and judging my responsibility with living creatures. She also responded with, “we dont let people hold them unless they’re actually going to buy them” what kind of marketing is that? What is someone had never held or even saw and they aren't sure? If they wanted a ferret? If I could have held him? Let him know me? Maybe I would have bought him.

WARNING ANIMAL ABUSEDo not go here if you care about how people treat their animals. Watched a lady hit her dog across the whole store, when it was brought up to employees (they were watching) we were told they cannot do anything about it and they do not have cameras. It’s pretty obvious this company just wants money and does not care about animals, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere.

I’m a frequent flier at the Niles location. I’ve never had a bad experience. The employees are knowledgeable and so sweet. Today I did an online order for pick up. Something this small makes the world of a difference to someone’s day. My heart is happy! I love my PSP+

Great store for dogs and cats! And small animals! However please read this review if you plan on buying any fish from this whole store chain!! The fish are always sick and even the ones you think are normal end up becoming sick because when you transfer them, that is when the parasites and any bacterial or fungal infections start to take over!! They are clearly not getting fish from a trusted breeder and that’s just the truth!! Trust me I know because I was a former employee for this company!!!!

I have done volunteer work for a cat rescue that partners with this location. I fostered several litters of feral kittens in the TNR program. When the kittens are recovered from the spay / neuter, are up to date on vaccines, and properly socialized, the rescue brings them here for adoption. They keep a photo album of the cats that come through. It was so pleasant to see the kittens I fostered and had been successfully adopted.

Every fish I got there was infected with ick. It was a battle and we lost 2 of the 6 fish we got there. I went there multiple times complaining and they'd give me the meds they used which was nice I suppose. I feel more should have happened though. Their prices are usually better a d cheaper but most places price match anyway. Also when I went last time they had dead angle fish that had been dead for a while

I dont know what the employees are doing but there are 2 dead frogs in the tank and they've obviously have been dead for a while the one on the back was DRIED.I'm really shocked with the treatment of these animals. Not ok.
