I'm not a fan of flat rate charged to refill propane tanks, prefer net pounds or net gallons. Half full or partial tanks charged the same price as empties.

Way better than large box places. Closer to drive to, lots of helpful employees. Their employee to square foot ratio is about 40 times better than the box stores. A lot of their products are better quality than the home owner grade stuff at the box stores. I find the prices to be about the same or even better. I'd rather spend my hard earned dollars here.

We shop here all the time....seriously, at least once a week and if we are doing a home project I may be there 4 times in a day! 😁 They have just about anything you could want for electrical, plumbing, painting, and garden projects, and lots more! I even get my canning supplies here. The staff is friendly and if you can't find something they will walk you right to it, or let you know they don't have it and who might. This is a great small business to support in our area. There new Outdoor and Marine store just opened across the street, but I haven't made it there yet. The owner has never failed to support the local community and schools with donations as well, so that is another reason we frequent this store.

They have almost everything a homeowner needs but I have had too many experiences with clerks unable to run the cash register. Today's trip will be my last to this franchise. I just joined the Ace Rewards program 9 days ago. Today's trip was to use the $5 coupon, good until December 31, 2021, just emailed to me. The clerk at first scanned the rewards card multiple times, citing it wasn't working correctly today. She got it right after a few tries, then when scanning the coupon wasn't working, her answer that the $5 wasn't being deducted is that it is expired. IT IS NOT EXPIRED AND HAD NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN REDEEMED. I have not had good experiences here and did not purchase anything today but will go to the other Ace Hardware in the area that is owned by a different proprietor.

Honestly it's under stocked and over priced. Nearly every time I try n save myself a few minutes by just stopping there I wind up down the road at big orange. They either don't have what I'm looking for or if they do its nearly twice the price. I will say that their employees are extremely friendly and always willing to help. Unfortunately for me I don't think the friendliness out weighs the negative.

Since my birth, when something went wrong at our house, I remember hopping in the car with my Dad and brother and making our trek to Handyman. And every time, no matter what archaic piece of plumbing or bolt we needed, they always had it. And helped us find it. 40 years later, and nothing has changed except the location. Let me just tell you now: if you are working on a DIY project do not waste your time anywhere else. Go to Handyman first and get the project done.

They did not have my spray paint order ready when I went to pick it up. In fact I had called 2 days ago and told them I would be in Sunday to get it. The original boxes were gone and 4 cans were missing. I had to wait forever for the manager to fix up my order to make it right.They did find all 12 cans finally, but what a hassle to make it right. They were extremely busy today.

Needed a special faucet for an old bath tub. Neither Lowe's nor Home Depot had what we were looking for. As it turned out, "associates" in both stores told us to go to Handyman for what we needed. They were right. We found the fixture at a competitive price on the shelf. When I needed to return to Handyman for another component to complete the job, staff spent a lot of time and effort to help me find the parts I needed. It took a while, because I wasn't sure of exactly what I needed, but we eventually figured it out. Many thanks to Handyman.

Inexpensive compost, $2.19 for a 40 Lb bag. Has made my gardens at the Girard Multi-Generational Center grow well for years.Returned a bottle of Rose and Flower spray today, no receipt, no hassle. Gave me a ticket for store credit. Right on the ticket is written "Good for 60 days."Helpful friendly knowledgeable.

Went to home depot, told the guy what I needed, he got it all wrong. The normal guy was not there. No place like a small. Hands on. Hardware store. They know there stuff. If they don't know they will at least tell you they don't know 👌👍

We returned some unused items this winter (maybe 2 months ago) the same day as purchase. They would only offer store credit. I attempted to cash in that store credit today and was told that it was no good (30 day lifespan). What a terrible store policy - I'm done paying for your overpriced goods just for the convenience and local support. Thanks for robbing us of $90.00. Your store must need the money more than my family.It has left a terrible taste in my mouth. I don't know if it's posted anywhere in store or not. It very well could be, but it should have been verbally told to me when it was issued. Regardless, I won't be back to check it out. I'll make the drive to Lowes and Home Depot from here on out, or just use Amazon. Local businesses wonder why they're losing business to the giants? It's stuff like this. Policies are one thing, but good spirit, good nature and honest business decisions are another.

Handyman Supply of Niles has always been my go to place for hard to find plumbing supplies. It is a bit of a drive for me for the normal, everyday hardware supplies though. I have always found them helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them!

My first visit here and when a worker decided he wasn't sure he was giving me the right info, he got his manager. Everyone was extremely helpful and willing to take their time despite the store closing in just a few minutes.

I ordered 9 boarder edgers and paid for them didn't here from them so I went to find out what was going on. They lost my order slip have not heard from them in a week now so it seems that they have my 80 dollars and I don't have what I paid for. I have spent a lot of money there over the years so it looks like I will not be shopping there anymore
