I couldn't rate this place any lower! Terrible,terrible,terrible customer service. Dropped a large sized lumber delivery off next to my driveway 1000 ft from my house. Would not bring it up to the house. No explanation. Canceled order.Bought from Lowes. Delivered no problem. Home Depot will never see me again. Canceling my Home Depot card too. Unacceptable customer service!

The delivery driver did a great job getting the wood to where we needed it behind the house. Very professional and kind!! She was very careful on her loader getting around the home and over sapplings.

We had a hot water tank go bad and long story short, we had a plumber who was going to install whatever replacement we purchased. We had no idea what we were doing, this was the first time we'd dealt with something like this. We were interested in a tankless setup and spoke to one of the folks here who cautioned us against it. He gave us a myriad of reasons why it simply wouldn't work. Talked us into getting a tank similar to the one we'd had.When the plumber got there to install the new tank he told us that the Home Depot guy had no idea what he was talking about and that he himself had a tankless setup and loved it. At that point we just wanted hot water in our house again so we lived with the regular tank. I feel like I'm being generous with the three star rating. You trust the employees who work in a particular department because you assume they have some idea of what they're talking about. Sucks when you find out that's simply not the case.

My experience at this store has never been good but as of today it's gotten worse. All of their self checkouts have been closed permanently. Do you think that they would have hired additional staff? The answer is no. I hate this store.

No one told them when they closed all the self checkouts that they would need employees to work registers. A 25 to 35 minute wait every day now.

I would give this store 0 stars if I could. I went in to the Newark, Ohio store and had them ship a specific hot water heater to the store. They said they would call when it's in. I had to call them, they told me that the hot water heater wasn't ordered and that I did the process incorrectly. One of their workers took me through the process, thank you home Depot for the amazing hiring you obviously do

Did not have a kitchen designer on duty who could sell me cabinets. Did not have an employee in the store who knew you can get cabinet depths in 3 inch increments or that vanity depth is 21 inches.

First I wanna start off with mentioning how great of an experience my last trip to Home Depot was yesterday 9/28/2023. As a local small business owner there are never enough hours in the day and everyday comes with it's own set of problems . And twice yesterday on 2 separate trips to Home Depot , Management and Staff went above and beyond there job title to remedy major issues that could have had negative consequences not just to myself but my co workers, my clients, and so on and so on. Kate & Andrew at the Newark location showed me compassion, empathy and most importantly at 10pm when there shift is over they went out of there way to personally stay after hours to help a complete stranger that was visibly in need of a helping hand. And both Kate and Andrew did so with humility, and sincerity , and for no other reason than to help someone in need. We could all learn a lot from Kate and Andrew. Thaks again.

Priced some butcherblock 50 by 25 by 1.5 for 180$ at lowes. Got it at home depot for 105. Same wood same seller. Got out of the store for 140$ for butcherblock.. wood conditioner.. stain.. protective coat and cheapo sponge brushes.. I'd call that a huge win

Hard to get help in certain areas because they have to find the right person so you may have to wait a bit if you have questions or want to schedule a service. We got carpet installed in our home through them and I have no complaints about the installation. They did a wonderful job and I'm very pleased with the price.

Horrible! The common sense days are over. Anything, I mean anything customer service is a joke. After circle-jerking with they robot line for half an hour with the depot-phone robot I realized I am back were I started. NOWHERE!!!!!!! . They (as in a worthless robot) actually transfered me to a human. 👍. So I thought .....the never answered the fickin' phone! Word of advice, it was faster to drive 22 miles one way,, than ask a simple question. I will be avoiding home Depot from here on our. Moving forward, the actual one person customer service suck at the store too. It took me less time to drive there and write this review when all I needed was a two line question and 5minutes. Booo giving just 1star was to much!!!!!

Store manager Bethany is terrible! She wouldn't price matchlowes on the exact same item.I bought zebra grass at lowes and landscape edging that Home Depot stopped carrying. headed to depot to get a bunch of other stuff, and my truck bed was full.Right where we were loading the truck, depot had the same zebra grassand both garden center people told me they would price match. They were even joking why did I buy it lat lower, I just didn't have room in my truck at the time.3 days later this manager Bethany , wouldn't match, said the item Was different, I show her it wasn't on my receipt. This was a 100$ swing in price for 5 plants. she even called another regular employee over and they were almost yelling at me, they don't match the entire garden center at all! Asking me who did I talk too, who told you that? She just refused no sorry or nothing, said she was the highest manager at the store.So if you think about that, they don't match 20% of the store right there,figure all the Home Depot brand paint, Behr, husky tools, etc.... so what do they match????I was looking at a huge sign lowest price guaranteed, but thats not true at Newark home depot.2 days later I go to Cleveland ave store and they happily matched the price, told me Newark store was wrong. Big waste of my time, thanks to Bethany not knowing store policy. Had to load these plants in my work van, just a pain, but Cleveland ave, treated me right.pictures of all receipts attached

Purchased dishwasher with installation. Individual arrived, removed panel from old dishwasher, turned off the power to the appliance and discovered some foam between the cabinet and dishwasher. The water inlet and drain hose hole in the cabinet had a small amount of foam for insulation purposes. The installer returns to his truck and unbeknownst to me leaves. Does not inform me he is leaving, nor does he leave the dishwasher I paid for. He left the panel he removed on our counter and the electricity to the appliance off. I have contacted the store as well as customer service on two occasions and no one has provided an explanation. Now I am told the first available appointment is not for another nine days. No communication from the delivery or installation company. Very poor customer experience. I would not recommend purchasing any appliances from Home Depot. I will be returning the dishwasher.

Friendly staff but still an annoying company to work with. Didn’t have what I needed in store - just the floor demo. Had to order via the pro department to get stuff sent to the store for pickup. Never got a call and when I went in found that they had short shipped me. Staff tried to help and eventually I got what I needed to get the job done but it took twice and king and cost me more than it should have.Prices are fine - standard. Store is clean and organized. Just poorly stocked in some departments and corporate practices are mind bogglingly out of date.

Bought a electric mower here and got home to find it was missing batteries amd charger. Took it back to exchange it only to find out they take the batteries out at the store and the cashiers don't know to get them for a sale. Way to go home depot. Cost us a hour of the day and gas for the trip back to get the batteries. No discounts offered due to thier incompetence.

Work for multi million dollar nation wide company with Home Depot account and was accused of not paying for 8 pieces of weather stripping because Mr. Security at self checkout didn't see me scan with his own eyes while he was talking with other employee. He ask if I bought these as I said yes that I don't steal and proceeded to count and wanted to see my receipt. Very rude.I will not go back to that home Depot and will tell other employees of our business. Glad we have Lowes account.

Recently bought a new refrigerator here. Mike, the salesperson absolutely failed to mention that in order for our new fridge to be dropped off and installed, a water shutoff valve must be on the same floor and within 6 feet of the fridge. We only found this out when the delivery guys told us. We rearranged work schedules to make sure we would be home during the super vague delivery window. Apparently, this is the policy of Home Depot and not the delivery/install crew. Mike never mentioned it (I'll assume deliberately) and nothing we received from Home Depot stated this. Because of our lost wages and not getting what we paid for because of some hidden policy, I will never buy another appliance or anything that might need installed from Home Depot again.

So, I rarely ever leave reviews for anything. However, this Home Depot has an employee named Cliff that gave such excellent service that I couldn’t not leave him a review.Every single person we came in contact with as we walked through the store looking for a product, Cliff interacted with. He was so polite to customers. So caring. So determined to go above and beyond for us.He spend upwards of 30-45 minutes searching for something other employees gave up on in 5 (and didn’t let us know they had quit looking). Cliff looked everywhere, across the whole store, front to back, sideways, we got our steps in with Cliff. And the whole time, he gave great conversation.As a GM of my own company, I would take 100 Cliff’s, any day. That guy deserves to be promoted to store leadership, or given some type of recognition for his level of compassion, service, and overall excellence. Because he deserves every last little bit of it.Looking forward to our next Home Depot visit; and hopefully we cross paths with this amazing person again!

Frequent shopper but the customer service has declined.. Went for a box of drywall mud, which was on the top shelf.. Employees were visible just sitting around and not a single person even offered to help. I managed but only after stepping up onto the bottom shelf to reach.

Please teach employees to make eye contact, and tell you that they can help, instead of staring into space and waiting for the customer to ask, "can you help me". You're at a register for a reason, dude. It's called your JOB. My service at the service center was such a joke today I'll shop elsewhere.
