We have given up on their pickup order process. Placed my order before 8:00 this morning for pickup between 2 and 3. and just got notified that it won’t be ready until 8.00 tonight. This is one of the multiple times this has happened over the last few months, thought maybe things had gotten better but doesn’t appear so. Will go back to using WalMart it looks like, this hasn’t happened one time there

Nice store. It’s a super Kroger.Get’s busy. Be careful in the parking lot.Clean and staffing is good.Good sales at times. Random deals. Seasonal clearance specials.

The Newark Kroger has a large selection of just about anything you are looking for , and as this is a marketplace, they have more than just the usual grocery store fare. Additionally, there is a state liquor agency and Starbucks on-site. Like I said, just about everything you would want is here. The staff is helpful not just point you in a direction and send you on your way, at least not in my experience. The cheese monger is also knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. Overall a great place to shop.

2 stars because it functionally sells food for money.Otherwise, the worst grocery store in town and it has to be the worst Kroger. I get expired or otherwise spoiled food here constantly, stocking is done in the morning by people obviously pushed to the edge with no time to make room for customers, and you’ll have an order picker’s 400lb steel cart on your heels the entire time. Want to buy dog food? Good luck having even a comparable food in stock next month. Eggs? Get lost buddy, they apparently throw them. And when you’re all done fighting past all of those attempts at getting you to not come back, there are 2 small self checkouts and 2 belt checkouts available. Because hiring employees at a well-trafficked store just cuts too far into the profit margins.Don’t forget to grab your prescriptions on the way out for 2-10x the price of other retailers.If this store is an example of the pure, vile profiteering Kroger is aiming for, I wish them nothing but the full fury of the working class.

On Sunday, March 17, 2024, I bought 3 boxes of pop tarts. The cashier rung up 4 boxes, so I showed her the receipt, and she apologized and then directed me to the customer service employee (CSE) who was helping another cashier at the time. After the CSE was done, I explained the error, and she told me she can't return my money because "the customer service desk is closed. There is no money in the register." I asked her if she could use another register, and she said she couldn't. I asked if the manager could return my money, and she told me "she won't do it either." Then she asked me if I could come back tomorrow. I said no because I live 35-40 minutes away. She insisted she couldn't do anything about it because the customer service register was closed. Really? So Kroger doesn't have any customer service on any given day? Every time something is scanned incorrectly, and people were charged too much, they just say "Sorry, we can't give you the money back because the register is closed?" I wonder if Kroger corporate would agree with that? I ended up suggesting that I will just go get another box of pop tarts. What is wrong with people these days?

This store is fantastic.The Kroger Marketplace has a nice selection of clothing and home items. The grocery store is full of so many options.The weak spot in this store are the restrooms. They are filthy and falling apart. They don't provide paper towels and the dryers don't work. The soap dispensers are broken.This store certainly does millions of dollars in sales monthly they no doubt can afford to maintain the facilities.

I went to make a return, and it took them a very long time to get to me even though the line was not that long. Then, after I got to start the return, the employee was not very nice to at all. I am not embarrassed.

Constantly rising prices, poor selection of reasonably priced items, mismarked prices, and a regular drop in quality despite constantly rising prices. But, we don't really have another option. So, there it is. Edit: prices STILL going up, starting to find expired items, too. You'd think the price gouging would allow them to get their lot plowed and salt their sidewalks, too. But, nope. Another edit: I love the mediocre new packaging you decided to put on your pet food. Is that where the 15% price increase over the last week came from?

Shout out to Susan who was working at the self check out yesterday. Very kind and friendly. Very willing to help out if needed. Friendly customer service is hard to find anymore and I want to say Thank you to Susan. Beautiful smile. Keep doing what you are doing.

Worst of the worst. IF (huge if) you are lucky enough to get a cart (always 0 carts), it WILL have at least one wheel with flat spots. The layout of the store was apparently done by the local kindergarten class. Restock of popular items is shameful. I will drive the extra distance to Heath Kroger 9.5 times out of 10 and am irritated 9.5 times out of 10 when I didn’t. If only Meijer wouldn’t have left!!!

Kroger pricing is out of control. If I am paying these prices, I would expect much better customer service and better quality of food. I have recently decided to not shop at Kroger unless absolutely necessary. After visiting Wegman’s on the east coast, that reaffirmed my decision. We will start at Aldi and fill in at Walmart and regularly shop at Costco, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods while in Columbus.

Unfortunately self check-out is exactly what is says....SELF -CHECKOUT. Turn your light on if you are having concerns. They can help ONE person at a time. No one who is non- trained on self-checkout can help you!!!!!

We ordered some sandwiches for a large party we are throwing for our grandmother and we received an order confirmation email. We call a half hour before our pick up to see if it’s ready and to check if maybe we can pick it up early and they say they don’t have the order in the system at all so they tell us to call customer service. We call customer service and they say that’s something they would have to resolve in the store. We also asked the guy at the store if we could place the order right now over the phone and pick it up in an hour and he said you can only place orders online (but online it says you can call or place your order online). 0/10 experience now we are running around town trying to find food for 75+ people.

This is the WORST customer service I've experienced a very long time! late pick up orders with phone calls that were never made, at one point an order was 4hours late. No one answers the phone when you call back. A chat bot that's worse than talking to no one. etc... Kroger, you've done EVERYTHINNG but lock the doors to keep us from buying groceries there. You win! We are now going somewhere else for our groceries. You might be the biggest right now, but that won't last long if your customer service continues this way.

Understaffed, understocked, dirty, and their bags are so thin they rip just trying to open one. This is an experience based on corporate greed and consumer apathy! If this store had it their way they would dispense pre shaped nutrient blocks and tell you to go away. Absolutely no soul.

This store has spent money on a remodel etc but has invested in no grocery carts .They are the dirtiest carts no wheels that are round and the wheels are locked up ,go in their on direction .Shopping here is an on going battle with steering a cart that has square wheels. General manager has stated a special wheel hard to get.Well than why does all the other carts at retailers not have this problem ,this is a ongoing issue for years wish someone would please help this Kroger store in how to fix replace their carts.

I'm waiting for the bank to open so I Wander over to the fresh food section.I have a bad memory so I took a picture of the Bagels in the display cabinet so I could come back later. A few minutes after that the manager comes down on me like I just shoved a lobster down my pants started grilling me about taking a picture in their store.So don't try taking pictures to post it on Google or else you might get harassed. By the way here's the picture I got a accosted for.So now after the fact, in a moment of "Wait a minute what the #@@% was that?" thanks to manager BRANDON (21st Newark) for getting me ticked off and setting off the wife in a "oh no he didn't " and being a blemish on the image of Kroger.

Garbage store. My orders are always delayed or they take 20 minutes to bring it out. Most recently my order was delayed 3 hours due to "staff issues". Many people get groceries on Sundays. This is poor management and no work ethic

Ordered pinwheel sandwiches online and received an email confirmation. Called store the day of and they claim they don't have the order. Asked if I could place it now and said they don't take orders over the phone. Party is in an hour and half and I have no food. Extremely disappointed.

I can't say enough about our Kroger, I haven't been inside the store however and over 2 years because I utilize the grocery pickup. The young men and young women who bring the groceries out are the most pleasant individuals I've ever met and they seem to really enjoy their job. It shows by the smiles on their faces. But when I did go in the store I always got lost but that's because it's so big and so clean and it has everything you need from a new pair of boots to a package of cheese. There's always lots of parking as well as handicapped accessible.

Went to get my prescription at 1258 they close at 1 for lunch they should have the employees stay those extra 2 minutes incase someone needs it right away. Thankfully it wasn't a dire need this time. Don't want anybody possibly dying because of this

Currently standing here at the self checkout watching the employee who is supposed to be monitoring talk to passers-by as another customer and I wait for her to come do her job and get these things going again after they fault out every other scan due to "Items not in the bagging area". If only they had registers open.

I wait 45 minutes in the drive through pharmacy line for them to tell me it’s closed and to come inside as they just helped the car in front of me?I go inside and have to wait another 45 minutes? Not even a spot held in line?That is a horrible customer experience and you will have a lot of ticked off people if that is something you usually do.Will they ever change anything? Nope.But they should be a little less busy now since my family is switching.

As with everywhere else, they are having product availability issues. Also "some" of their staff tend to be a bit rude when asked a question which I chaulk up to they're having a bad day, or they just don't care.

This store use to be nice when it was new, but has since fallen to a very poor state of cleanliness and maintenance. I can’t handle the filth on the floors around the cash registers and bathrooms. It’s disgusting and should be embarrassing for Kroger. Front of store is constantly understaffed which does not make the experience more pleasant…

I have been a loyal customer of this store for years and have never had a problem. Today I went in to get cereal that was on sale. Went to the self checkout the cereal did not ring up on sale. I called over the attendant her name was Susan and I showed her on the ad that they were on sale she said she needed me to go back and take pictures of each brands tag in the isle. I definitely felt like this was not my responsibility but I understand being short staffed so I went back in the isle took pictures of each tag. Went back up front where Susan proceeded to tell me she needed to check the date on each picture to make sure I wasn't lying to her to get cereal on sale. At this point it has taken over 20 mins and I felt completely disrespected as a customer.As an employee it's your job to know the sales and it's surely not my job to prove it to you. Sad to see this is how kroger employees treat their customers.
