M.A.D Bros is a great local store with an impressive amount of board games and table top games. Tons of miniatures, paints and guides. Their selection of MTG has dwindled over time, but that's fine for me. The staff are all great people.

I usually like to include pictures with a review, but I was too busy enjoying the store and receiving great customer service to think to take a picture. We stopped in New Philadelphia on our way home to Cleveland to visit a friend when we discovered M.A.D. Bros. Games & Hobby. We are already scheming as to when we can come back again. This store was an awesome find and for big board game heads like ourselves, there was a great stock of board games. The customer service was even better though. My girlfriend and I were able to state our game preferences and the owner (we think he’s the owner?) would take our preferences into consideration and spit out spot-on suggestions for us. He was incredibly knowledgeable about games, and was even understanding about my girlfriend and I’s pact to not purchase additional BOARD games in January 2024 (we received and bought a lot end of 2023), and brought out three recent arrivals from the BACK of the store to recommend to us that were all NON-board games for 2 people (coming soon in a Valentine’s Day display there). All 3 recommended new arrivals sounded great, but we ended up deciding on the most aesthetically pleasing non-board game new arrival and I think I am in love with it. Can’t wait to play the game and can’t wait to get back down to New Philadelphia for M.A.D. Bros and talk more about board games with the owner!!!!!!!! One of the best game stores I’ve been to in a while - made our whole weekends!!!

Amazing game selection, with great and friendly customer service. They even pulled out some of the two-player games from the back, and I’m so excited about the one we got! We’ll definitely return on our next trip through New Philly!

Great LGS. I'm really grateful this town not only has one but, it has a good one. Shops like this have long been the cornerstone in the local tabletop/ strategy/ RPG/ and TCG communities. Not only providing us with a place to go and find cool stuff to add to our collections, but providing us with a place where people can go and play our favorite games, and enjoy sharing/ playing those games with like minded people. The staff and owner are great, and you really get the sense that they're just as passionate about these hobbies as anyone else. There's a good amount of space and they do a pretty good job posting when events will be on their socials so there's usually some things to look forward to as well.Again, I'm just grateful little that new philthy has a rockin LGS. Keep on doing what you do!

This shop has a special place in my heart. They host events for people to meet and play tabletop and card games. A great tabletop RPG selection and they have a little selection where local artists and creators can sell their stuff. Love the store, love the selection, love the employees.

Neat little store downtown. Some retro games and tons of tabletop games and accessories like Warhammer and such. I'm not much into those but if you are this place is worth a stop. Dont be alarmed if a dog barks when you walk in, as they are just greating you

Love going to M.A.D. Bros whenever we visit New Philly Ohio. My husband grew up in the area and always hung out at M.A.D. Bros. Todd the owner knows a lot about the games he sells and knows a lot about Magic the Gathering cards etc. He's passionate about what he sells and his two dogs at the shop are so cute and friendly. If you need a board game aside than those at a regular retail store, this is the place to go. If you need pokemon cards or other trading cards, this would be the shop to get it. They even have Manga now. I can't wait to visit again and but more games etc.

The shop offers a wide variety of games and hobbies for all ages. The back room is very roomy, and multiple events were being run with good attendance while I was there. The workers were very friendly and was very knowledgeable about all the products they were selling.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you ask really nice like they may even open a game up for you so you can check it out. Good selection of table top and RPG games. They also have a big area of tables for players to hold their games.

New Philadelphia finally has a game shop! When entering, the employees are always behind the counter, attentive to customer needs. The shop is clean, well lit, and very large. They have a nice selection of current, popular board games, like Star Wars Armada, Love Letter, and Smash Up. They host weekly games of Dungeons & Dragons, various Magic tourneys (I hear this summer they will be host to a Star City Invitational Qualifier), as well as Yugioh and other miniature and board game leagues. They also sell used retro and modern video games. They even have dozens of store copies of board games to try out. This is a great place to spend an evening or an afternoon.

Love this place! Has a decent sized selection of board games, magic cards, dungeon and dragons equipment, etc (all reasonably priced). The place is also great to just go to and hang out with some friends to play board games. You can even ask to try out a selection of board games kept behind the counter. Overall this is a fantastic store and I'm very happy I found out about this place! Hope this helps, feel free to ask a question if you guys have any!

Great play space with friendly staff. They have board games to buy as well as to rent if you want to try something before you buy it. All in all definitely a really good local game shop in New Philadelphia.

Best place to go in t county when looking for board games. I will not go anywhere else unless he can't get me a certain game. Then online it is but seriously this place is loaded with board games. Our favorite is betrayal at house on the hill. Very good group game.

Well I'll start off with the fact that I went into the shop with 2 objectives, first I wanted to get a price on selling my yugioh collection, and second I needed card sleeves for the cards I planned on keeping. I was told that I needed to leave my cards with them so they could go through them, which is an understandable condition seeing as I was giving them over 1400 cards. Went in to check on my cards and pricing 4 days later and was told they hadn't even started looking at them. So I decided to give them my business since they were going to price my cards and was shown an $11 pack of sleeves which I purchased. I get home open it and find out that they are magic card sleeves and don't fit. I call asking about return policy and was told to speak with the manager the next day he makes the decisions but he should be able to help me. I call in the next day to get told since I opened the product there was no refund available, but if I gave them back (with no refund just give them back) he could give me a discount on yugioh card sleeves (which are about 5-6 dollars full retail there) why would I hand you $11 to get $2 off of a product? Kinda upset me so I just purchased the yugioh sleeves and kept the others. But it doesn't stop there. Finnaly after they managed to price my cards I got an offer,(which I had priced my cards with TCGplayer beforehand, which is what 90% of online buy sale trade groups for yugioh use even though I understand they don't use it) what I priced it at taking into consideration all card conditions good and bad to be retail of 350 dollars give or take a little. I know card shops need to make a profit and are known to offer 50% on what the value is and I fully expected that. I was offered $45 dollars cash for the cards.......I was offered a 13% value offer...right after being sold the incorrect item and not being offered a reasonable solution to fix the misunderstanding. When I interacted with the manager he seemed annoyed that I was even there, which I figured a small town card shop would be happy to have a customer especially during a pandemic which is slowing business for all company's big and small, but no I seemed to be nothing but a chore for him like he viewed me as insignificant. Also not that I care about wearing masks and such in public places but I was thoughtful enough to wear a mask everytime in his establishment but when I went to pick my items back up the whole time I was in there probably about 35-45 minutes he didnt have a mask on the entire time which I do believe is pretty disrespectful when I have one on because I'm in a store that you own.So after this long winded recap I do not recommend them whatsoever and I will just find another card shop to buy sell and trade with.And if you want to comment about my experience madbros save it I really don't care what you have to say, you honestly dont even deserve the one star Google made me give you to make this post 😂

awsome place to hang out and duel with friends. the owners even hold tourneys and teach many different games. if u do not see what u need in the shop they order what they need for you and let you know when it is in. thanks to the shop i got many cards i love and many sets like my exodia set. even the customers in there are helpful thanks to them i was able to build my exodia deck. very great place to go if ur a board/yugioh/magic fan.

Been going here for awhile and have only had positive experiences. Good place for any one who wants to get into hobbies like war machine or magic the gathering highly recommend at least checking it out if you are even the least bit interested.

Very annoying. Owner asked me to start running a game for him (Heroclix). Told him I could run on Fridays, and do tournements. Then after running 2 games flatly refuses to allow events to be run against Friday Night Magic; which I understand. Nevertheless he closes at 7 during the week and is closed on Sunday so its impossible to get traction.Very hostile when trying to discuss how to get game going.Unless you play card games or D&D dont expect any possibility of starting any Organized Play game.
