I have been using Monroe Pet Hospital for several years now and have never been disappointed with the care and service that my dog’s have received! I currently have a 17 month old German Shepherd who was due for his rabies vaccine and two other. This was the first time that we had Dr T as his vet, and was I impressed! Dr. T asked lots of questions about my dog and answered any questions that I ask. More importantly, he TOOK his time and wasn’t in any hurry! I highly recommend Monroe Pet Hospital!

What began with me going to closest vet hospital has turned into an ongoing long term relationship. I’ve been coming to the Monroe Family Pet Hospital for 7 years now for the 3 dogs my family has. They have always treated my family, our dogs, and myself with upmost respect and care. We take our dogs there for things as simple as routine exams and vaccinations and there has been a couple urgent care visits over the years. Whatever it is, I trust them with our dogs lives.

I came here for the first time with a sick dog. I will be a client for life. From the friendly front desk staff, compassionate techs and amazing vets I felt like my best dog buddy and I were the most important people at the office. I was informed every step of the way what tests and treatments were being suggested and why. I believed the vet when he said he was worrying about my dog too over the weekend. I always felt supported and heard. After some trial and error I think we’re on the right track with his weird case and I can’t thank everyone enough for getting me back the spunky, fun, goofy, loving dog I’ve known for 3 years.

Dr Osborne took her time to answer questions and throughly look over my cat, for any other issues. The staff was friendly and they even make a follow up call the next day. The wait time was minimal. Thank you I appreciate the way you care my cats!

We made our first visit as an emergency and it will not be the last time we go there. Unfortunately, we lost our beautiful and incredibly loved bearded dragon Cheeto. The staff was so professional and respectful, not only to us, but to Cheeto. As devastated as we are losing our little buddy, it’s a comfort to know that she was taken care of every step of the way.In addition to the lovely box her ashes were returned to us in, the staff made an imprint of her hands and tail. The personal touch meant everything to us. Thank you all so much.

Do not let Dr. Tarabrella handle the care of your animals. Our previous vet, who just left this practice, was treating her for breathing issues, possibly asthma. As we started to step down on her steriod dosage she got worse so i took her back in. Dr. Tarabrella refused to treat my cat, told me she had lung cancer and I needed to put her down. He was very arrogant and when her lab work came back, not supporting his diagnosis, he stated he didn't trust the lab results (from the lab they use?!?!) and he wouldn't prescribe anything i suggested because it wouldnt help, since she was dying of lung cancer.I wasn't able to get her in at another vet quickly so I took her back in again for a second opinion, as she was getting worse. This time we were able to see Dr. Reed. It turned out she had an infection that turned into pneumonia NOT lung cancer. It was a pretty bad infection since it went untreated, but there was hope. Unfortunately the infection wasn't treated in time and she passed away the following morning. She could of possibly been saved if this arrogant vet would of just did his job and treated her properly a few days earlier.I am giving a 2 star review because the other vets there had previously given her great care and did try to save her that last day. If you take you pet there please steer clear of him. I will not return here as long as he is on staff and we will be submitting a formal complaint with the Veterinary Board.

Dr. Reed is extremely compassionate and caring with both her patients and their owners alike. She is thorough, knowledgable, and professional yet all the while being approachable because she’s friendly and puts you at ease, making you more comfortable to ask whatever questions may be on your mind.We came to her for a more thorough workup after some scary neuro things that happened with our dog, and 2 previous doctors that we took her to did not spend very much time on her before referring us to an expensive neurologist. She took very good care of our Marlee Jane and made sure to look at everything she could think of even when she was 99% sure it wasn't part of the problem, just to rule it out. Our dog also just seemed to be a lot more comfortable with her than other vets that have seen her. She's a very nervous pup, but she did not really shy away from her like she does with other doctors and techsIn regards to the Frenchie incident, I have no doubt this isn't the first C-section that Dr. Reed has performed. Probably one of many other successful ones. More than likely, it was bound to happen no matter who performed the surgery, as I'm sure she followed all of the same exact procedures she had with her successful surgeries. Only thing different was the dog- it was just a very unfortunate one-of-a-kind situation. I can assure you that no matter what, Dr. Reed is not out to get you, and that she will always handle every medical situation with careful precision and expertise, and also with a deep love for animals which you will not always get with just any doctor.Tbh- I'll say it. She knows what she's doing better than any backyard breeder knows what they're doing 🤷‍♀️You really can’t go wrong with Dr. Reed. Even my dog loves her ❤️

I would reccomend this place to anyone and everyone. The staff is so welcoming to all animals that come in the door. Dr.Reed is who I my dumbo rats see. She is amazing. She is so good with them and actually cares about her patients. Thier needs are always met and she makes sure to have thier best interest at heart. She did so great during our 2 girls last moments and was so compassionate. I have 3 other girls and I wont take them anywhere else except to see Dr.Reed.

We absolutely loved our experience with Monroe Family Pet Hospital and we definitely recommend them as a vet. The staff is so nice and caring. When our puppy Maya broke her leg she needed to have her bandage changed on a weekly basis and everyone at Monroe Family Pet Hospital made it such a smooth and easy process each week. I was so happy to see Maya get so excited to see Kati each week and Dr. Reed was so helpful when she did a check up on Maya. We love the support staff and doctors at Monroe Family Pet Hospital. Dr. Osbourne diagnosed Charlie, our GSD, with cancer 2 years ago and referred us to an amazing canine oncologist. Charlie is back with Dr Osbourne for end if life care and she does an amazing job of providing education on treatment options available, while being sensitive to the cost of care. Dr. T recently treated Snowball, our chonky senior cat, for a UTI and overactive bladder. Snowball is on prescription diet food and has lost a couple of pounds. He's less anxious, more active, and less occupied with the next meal. Best of all, no more accidents!! Our family wholeheartedly recommends Monroe Family Pet Hospital for all of your fur-family's health care needs. Thank you Drs. T and Osbourne!! The Martin Family

The scheduling system they use is great and I received a very fast unsolicited follow-up. The staff here love your animals as if they are their own. They were incredibly mindful of the quality of life as well as the expenses required when my cat was in end stage kidney failure back in 2021. Their consideration and kindness was much appreciated during a difficult time. My vet for life !

I took my new puppy here because in the past, they actually stayed open for my dog who had a breathing emergency- and was not even a patient there! They are loving, caring people. Some people say they are a little expensive. I wouldn’t know because I think all vets are expensive😂My puppy was so relaxed after his first visit- he went straight to sleep- I was expecting drama because it was his first visit. I love their techs too- so friendly.Highly recommend

I highly recommend Monroe Family Pet Hospital!! Communication was thorough and the entire staff is friendly and detail oriented. Emily took care of my German Shepherd (Chloe) and she did an excellent job. Chloe gets very excited at the vet but Emily was patient, positive and I was very happy that she kept me informed during the entire appointment. I’m changing my review I was definitely upset when I made the 1st review because 6 puppies died.But I’ve been going to this vet which people have told me not to go to because of their prices. But I’m a firm believer that you can’t put a price and quality so I chose to continue to go here and pay their price. Price was never a concern for me I wanted great care for my animals. I will say I went here to get a C-section for my puppies after being told that this was the safest way to deliver French bulldogs, it turned into a nightmare. I felt that having the procedure on day, 56 was way too soon, but I listened to my vet. She’s scheduled C-section and we showed up to have the procedure done. We got a callback hours later saying all the puppies died. we were devastated people think when you have French bulldogs. It’s all about money but to the contrary three of the dogs were already planned gifts. No money involved. We were spending money to bless someone else with a wonderful pet. I’m not sure what went wrong, but I do know we are at a big loss, not a financial loss but a mental and heartfelt one. I don’t feel like I got the explanation I wanted but I won’t come here to bash anyone. I’ll just stay at the facts. We listen to our vets recommendation and our whole litter died I am only writing this review so that someone else thinking about getting a similar procedure done sees that they have had difficulties in this area not meant to bash anyone all dogs go to Heaven and I hope all the doctors and nurses really did this for the right reasons, and not for financial gain. Love is love God bless everyone.

My partner and I recently lost our cat and were worried about the health of our dog. We've been to the same vet for years and they weren't able to help us. We got a 2nd opinion from Monroe and they not only made our dog comfortable and helped alleviate his health concerns, they worked with us on what was needed and the overall cost of this. We will be using this vet from now on and would highly recommend them.

Everyone was great. And as I mentioned to one staff member, I like them having music on rather than TV shows (I especially dislike Animal Planet). A lot of new faces, but all very nice! I always feel like they really care about my fur-babies.

I just wanted to make another review on how amazing this vet hospital is, Today I came in with two male rats with very concerning issues. Sadly losing one of them today because his issues were severe, Dr. Reed helped me so much, she gave my two rat boys absolute support and love through out the entire process. She tried her best to answer any questions I had about their concerning issues and listened to everything I had to explain. The staff were also amazing during the process, and were really helpful as well. I appreciate the staff and Dr. Reed for helping my rats, she even tried her best to help my bearded dragon. She’s an amazing vet and I will continue to see her in the future for my other rats. She has done amazing work, and I will forever be grateful for the love and kindness her and the staff give.

My family first started going to MFPH almost 5 yrs ago. Our Vet's office was closed & 1 of our dogs became very ill. They saw us emergently & we've been there ever since. Our animals are always cared for safely & humanely. We now are also fostering a dog for a Rescue group & this office has been so helpful in working with the Rescue. Our most recent adventure has involved a planned dental care for our Foster that turned into surgery. She then had to have emergency surgery 1 wk later. The staff was awesome. Dr. Harville saw our dog just minutes before they closed. The staff worked with our dog 90 min. More intense surgery had to be scheduled the next day with Dr T. Our Foster is doing much better and because of this office's dedication & dilligence, we were able to avoid sepsis. I appreciate all the help and care given to our animals from each staff member (Drs, Julie, Dawn, etc).

My dog, Loki, had a terrible itching and scratching problem. First night after seeing them he slept all thru the night. He really liked the staff as well as we did. No need for either of my pets to see anyone else! Highly recommend.

You won’t find a better Vet practice than Monroe. Every staff member is kind, courteous and professional towards you and your pets. We have been bringing our cats and our dog Fenway Here since 2020. We have always received outstanding care for them. They are responsive and communicate effectively at all times. Only time we have ever taken our pets elsewhere are during off hours in emergency situation or on rare occasion due to being out of town with them and needing care or just something that required expedited attention. Highly recommend Monroe Family Pet Hospital!

Impressive, and responsive well trained staff. We had a harrowing experience when my husband and I realized that our dogs accidently gotten into a chemical in the garage that is a serious neurotoxin to dogs and cats. We immediately took our 2 Labradors ("Frick and Frack" to change the names of the not so innocent) to the Monroe Family Pet Hospital. The EMERGECY team went to work immediately on both dogs - evacuating the stomach contents, giving them a follow-up antidote, and then lastly giving them oral grade activated charcoal to help eliminate any further toxin in their GI track. No doubt Monroe Family Pet Hospital saved our 2 overly curious Labradors from a potential tragedy. The Care Team also performed well to abate our fears throughout the process.

This has been the best experience with a vet by far. My dog Bleu is in need of emergency care I called and they were able to bring him in quickly and provide me an update within an hour. The staff has been so caring and kind. The Dr. has updated me every step of the way. The care itself is what I think to be affordable on top of the love I know they're giving my baby. Truly couldn't say enough good things about this place!

I’ve taken my bearded dragon here for a nail trim, and my new dog here for a full exam. The staff here are so kind and knowledgeable! My dog, Rudy, didn’t have a great start to life before I adopted him. Dr. Reed and nurse Emily were so great with him, even coming down to the floor instead of putting him on a table to make him more comfortable. They answered every question I had and had recommendations for all of my concerns! I will be recommending this vet to everyone I know; they fully exceeded my expectations!

Dr.Reed is the best vet ever! Not many vets see exotic animals and I am so lucky to have Dr.Reed see my Guinea Pigs. She is so patient and knowledgeable about all exotics. Every person I speak to at Monroe Family Pet Hospital is friendly and patient. They are always willing to help and answer questions. My dog has to take special meds before each visit as he is an anxious boy. They go out of their way to make myself and my dog as comfortable as possible. I feel confident in the care he receives. We typically see Dr. Towning and she is wonderful! Would definitely recommend this practice for anyone looking for veterinary care or looking to make a switch.
