The most disrespectful manager I ever had the displeasure of interacting with. I dropped off a screen door and screen window to be rescreened around noon on a Wednesday. The gentleman working the counter explained the person that does the rescreening was out the next couple days but should have mine done Saturday or Sunday that week, no bid deal. On Tuesday the following week I had not received a call so I called them, the lady tells me my screens are next to be done. Now it's Saturday (five days after I was told they would be done) and have not received a phone call to pick them up. I called the store, the screens still are not done and may not be done until Sunday. I tell the gentleman on the phone I will be in to pick them up and I will just take them somewhere else.......this person hangs up on me as I try to explain why I am choosing to take my business elsewhere. I did not use profanity, I didn't have an unpleasant tone yet he hung up on me. I asked to speak to the manager when I arrived to the store, I was told he was in the RR then was told he left for lunch. I learned from the three employees that the manager would have been the person on the phone with me that hung up....on a customer! I will never patronize Busy Beaver in Minerva or suggest for anyone to go there for anything! I couldn't imagine going to any other store in Minerva and having any of their managers be so disrespectful like that.

Today was the first time I've had a bad experience in the store, but it's definitely going to make me think twice before coming back to spend money again. We bought a generator this winter and some other things, spent over $1,000, and earned $20 back in rewards certificates. Went in today, as we noticed they were going to be expiring and was told you can't use a rewards certificate towards a sale item as it’s considered “double dipping.” Mind you, this is NOT a coupon, it's a REWARD for spending over $1,000 in the last few months, basically the same concept as a gift card. This would be the equivalent of Giant Eagle telling you that you cannot use your Fuel Perks today because their gas is cheaper than Marathon down the street, it just doesn't make a lick of sense to me. Name any other store- Best Buy, PetSmart, Giant Eagle, Michael’s, TSC, Office Max, GameStop etc. none of them have such an absurd policy with their rewards. Went as far as reading the Terms and Conditions of the Rewards Program when we got back home, but I’m actually not seeing anything about how it can’t be used on a sale item. There is, however, a snippet stating the following “* Stores are independently owned and operated and reserve the right to modify the points earned by product. See your local True Value Rewards store for details.” I’ve emailed the Rewards Customer Service team for clarification, but it would appear this could be a modified rule for this location, but I guess we'll find out. I really wanted to shop local, but this experience is why I usually choose not to. It feels kind of like a petty slap in the face for choosing to spend my money there.

I would give the employees a 5 star but this one star is for the manager. I will never go there again. I will go to Robertson’s in malvern. The little short man with glasses is the rudest man ever. He totally humiliated and embarrassed me. The employees are kind and considerate but he is a mean man. I didn’t deserve to be treated the way I was treated. When this store was 3 sons, at least they were friendly. Now that this little man is in there, he makes it so uncomfortable to shop there.

Sent my wife three times with exact pictures of what to get.... they were out every time. This last time the fellow sold her something he said would fit in place of what I needed, since they were out of it too... And of course it didn't work. I'm not going any longer....

I'm giving 3 stars because they had everything we were looking for however if it wasn't on sale it was over priced. Employees were nice and helpful while we were browsing but I will probably only shop there for sale items.

They will help find what you NEED. I handed employee a part I needed he got it .I told him 4 other things I needed. He got it for me .I didn't shave to walk store. Easy to get to also.

Its a small local hardware store. It's a good place to go when you can't or don't want to drive 30+ mins to a bigger store. And yes, some prices are higher, but what is your time worth?

When challenges come , minds turn to the problem .. It's time to go to the problem solvers.Three Sons Hardware years of experience in helping projects turn into successes .This store is clean , well organized , and set up to help customers . Help was needed to set up a manual tire changer .needed to anchor bolts in existing concrete .Had to get advise on the type of concrete anchor to use . They also have a rental center , needed a hammer drill to expedite the project .They have a wide range of tools for rent . True Value is easily seen from the road .easily accessible to customer s and handicapped do it yourselfers also.Plenty of parking and great service .

Selling items on eBay. Item was gone when we went to pick up. Ms. Ables, co-owner, refused to make their mistake right and became quite UNPROFESSIONAL. I definitely would NOT recommend doing business with them!

Super friendly and their product line seems to have stepped up too. Prices seem fair also. In a nut shell being local you can't go wrong!

*** 000 zero stars***I ordered a coat around Christmas and YET TO RECEIVE IT!!! Coat is paid for and has been for months, but was told there is a delay. A delay......a delay for 6 months. Don't waist your time with this place or these people. I have emailed and called, went in and still NO COAT!!!

Love this place. They have so much of everything and it's all easy to find. Really like the Carhartt section. It's all at a decent price and the customer service is great.

I was parked sideways in the lot because I was pulling enclosed trailer and one of the workers was on the radio complaining that someone apparently didn't know how to drive and needed to move immediately I was in the store less than 5 minutes I won't patronize that store again.
