Visited this Home Depot last night (04 Apr 24) to check out some flooring. Being a novice, I was not sure what would be the best options for my house.Carmella LeMar from the Flooring Department gave me and my wife in-depth information on what were my options and the associated cost, performance, and reliability. She did not push us to buy right then and gave us enough time to make up our minds.Excellent service, great prices, and even better staff. 5 STAR Experience.

I had an appliances purchase and delivery that had a few ups and downs, but in the end I'm extremely satisfied. I purchased a fridge, range, and dishwasher in the Mentor, Ohio store on March 4th. The sales person that assisted me was very courteous, efficient, and professional. I decided to opt for the financing for both the terms and discount that was offered. There was about a 10-15 minute delay by the bank in getting approved, but it turned out they just wanted to make sure it was me making the request. I wasn't bothered by the extra security steps, since I know there are so many scammers out there. My delivery date was scheduled on the 9th. On the day of delivery, I was following the truck on the tracker provided, when I recieved a text that my delivery was cancelled. I immediately called the store, and was transferred to the manager, Andy. He said he would look into it and call me back ASAP. He called back in less than 10 minutes and said someone from delivery would call soon. They called a few minutes later to tell me the truck broke down. My delivery was rescheduled for 2 days later. The next delivery was on time and went smoothly. All the old appliances were removed and the new ones installed. After they left, I noticed that there was a lot of tape adhesive stuck to the enamel range top. I tried to get it off with a mild soap and water, and later with the recommended enamel cleaner, but the adhesive was not coming off. I called HD again, and was referred to Frigidair. They gave me 2 options, either take a very generous discount or they would deliver another range. I opted for the latter and received the new unit on the 16th. Looking back I was very happy with my interactions with everyone involved. Kudos to the store sales person, the delivery people, the phone agents, and especially the HD store manager, who listened to me vent my frustrations and took control of the situation immediately. My calls were returned promptly and politely, and the resolutions offered were all better than I expected. I'm very happy I chose to go with HD and with Frigidaire, and will use them for any further major purchases.

Listen, I have had THE best customer service here- particularly recently with an issue regarding purchasing gift cards to an establishment that was not accepting them. Julie and Shayna went above and beyond to find ways to reimburse me within company guidelines, calling corporate, calling HD credit services- I mean these two fought for me!!! If the CEO has a brain in their head they NEED to protect Julie, Tammy, Shayna and Rose AT ALLLL COST. For real I have spent 1,000s here and I’m not someone who makes a lot of money so everywhere I shop HAS to be worth my time and money. Thank you so much.

This is the type of store you can shop for just about anything you need for the home. Nice staff most of the time, and the self-checkouts actually WORK, and they are simple to operate. Leaps and bounds ahead of their competition!

I ordered a bathtub and surround online. They said it was delivered to my address but didnt show up for another 3 days in 2 seperate shipments. The box with the tub was laying on its side in the grass at the very end of the driveway, like it was rolled off the truck. I opened it and saw the entire corner of the tub was shattered.Later that day the surround arrived, and this was even worse. I cant imagine how this was handled in shipment, or why they would even bother to deliver this garbage. When I called to return it I was told they would give me a discount to keep the items, talk about a joke! So they said I would need to take it back to the store to return it. Which I did. And then I went to lowes and bought a different one.This is not my first bad experince. I previously bought a vanity and the wrong one was delivered twice. Both projects delayed and didnt make the contractor or my wallet happy.Never again will I buy online at Home Depot.

I recently purchased a dewalt 20v mower from home depot. When I opened the box inside was an old dirty table saw and some wood remnants. I was shocked as the box was sealed from the factory with the plastic wrap and the corresponding bar coded label on the plastic. As I deduced that this must've been done at the factory by an employee (because home depot checks all boxes for original content)it occurred to me that home depot staff might not buy my story and I may be out $500.00. When I pitched my story to the staff at returns they were not only super apologetic but they believed me 100% without a managers approval. Thank you home depot staff Mentor, Ohio!!

Reserved a floor sander rental. Everything's fine, then the night before I'm supposed to pick it up, it gets cancelled due to lack of availability. Had to drive to Meadville, PA to get one from a store that is apparently more organized.

Natalie at the customer service desk in Mentor is always there when I come in and is always pleasant. I shop a lot online due to the variety of products available online vs in store. Anyways there was huge miscommunication misunderstanding of product bought and the return policy that I truly was unaware of. Basically I was going be out of luck and lose a quite bit of $ and was I so stressed out and upset. Anyways Natalie went above and beyond to find me a better outcome and she and her manager (did not get her name) did just that (even her co worker stayed later to help cover as my issue was taking longer) I know this may mean nothing to anyone else but it was everything to us and I will forever be grateful for the outcome and for Natalie the manager and the staff. It was a team effort and truly felt validated and respected as a customer and as a person . I know this will never happen again but truly blessed they were there that night and were so understanding. Thank you so much.

As home improvement stores go, Home Depot is on par with the rest. Employees are easy to spot in their orange aprons if you need help finding something. I was looking for wall coverings and curtains, which were almost nonexistent at the Mentor, Ohio store. There were a few "repositionable" designs similar to a wide roll of contact paper. Not much to choose from. There seemed to be a department meeting where the window coverings are so I really couldn't any get help. I purposely stood where the employees, who were all sitting around a desk of sorts, could see me trying to look past an aisle full of pallets of "stuff". No help offered so no sale gained. I park in handicap parking, which is close to the entrance, but the registers and consequently the exit are on the opposite end of the building. This isn't limited to Home Depot, all the home improvement stores have the same setup. It's inconvenient to say the least.

Mentor Home Depot is the worst. How can you run a Home store with only one self service checkout open and no full service ones open on a Saturday morning. Little inventory compared to other Home Depot stores. And The people that work there act like they hate their job’s just a very poor Home Depot overall.

Needed a piece of plumbing pipe threaded. Walked around for ten minutes trying to find some help. After finally finding somebody he said I’ll page somebody to help you. Waited another 10 minutes, nobody ever came. Went to the customer service desk and told them what happened and they said that the problem is that I should have had somebody specific paged or else nobody will ever come 🙄. Waited another 10 minutes while they tried to find somebody with negative results 😡. Thanks Mentor Home Depot for wasting a half hour of my life! Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Menards. It’s a nicer store, cheaper and way better customer service.

Associates at rental are pretty hopeless. Returned an item after 4 hour rental to same associate 3 hours later. Now have attorney calling at collections saying it wasn't marked returned. Upon calling store, 0 help. This isn't the first poor experience here. But it will be the last.

Absolutely atrocious store. The most unprofessional place I have unfortunately patronized. My wife and I purchased back splash and paid Home Depot to install it. The contractors they sent over did an egregiously bad job. They destroyed our walls in our new kitchen. They dented our microwave filter, ruined our electrical outlets and the wall plates, and stained our driveway with what I believe was grout residue. The actual backsplash was overgrouted. It looks dull, unattractive, and unprofessional. One end is uneven and slanted. They grouted up into our cabinets. We had to spend 3 hours cleaning up after the workers left our house. We alerted the company who was contracted by Home Depot to do the installation and they sent a manager out to look the job over. After agreeing to its unprofessionalism and unacceptability he suggested we all meet with Home Depot to discuss a solution. We haven’t heard from them since. Home Depot is trying to pass this off as between only us and the contractor even though I paid them and not him. The woman we worked with at Home Depot is trying to wash her hands of this whole situation. I’ve called Home Depot multiple times to speak with a manager and haven’t been called back even after they’ve taken my name and number. The contractor hasn’t answered my calls or return my message either. We will be reporting them to corporate and possibly be taking legal action. Everyone should take caution before purchasing an installation project from this Home Depot.

My husband and I ordered 18 custom doors, 4 of which were 2 panel craftsman-style bifold doors, and spent good money to get what we wanted and for them to be delivered. Well, when the initial order was delivered we were disappointed to find that 1 of the 4 bifold doors was not the craftsman style and one of our 3 panel interior doors was broke. It took my husband making countless calls to the store manager, David Furlich, who was not easy to get a hold of and was not very empathetic towards our situation, to explain what happened. Once he was able to get the doors reorded, it took another 4 weeks for them to arrive to the store. Once they arrived, we were told we had to come pick them up or we'd have to pay another delivery fee. My husband was finally able to get them to deliver the doors at no additional charge since we had already paid for delivery. So... the doors arrived yesterday and the bifold door is a 1 panel, not a 2 panel. Luckily the 3 panel interior door was not broke and in good shape. My husband will call David Furlich again to try and get this corrected yet again, but I know it's not going to be easy. I am writing this review in hopes that maybe someone else will be able to help us get this situation rectified sooner than later and with a better attitude. My husband and I also spent a good amount of money on 2,500 sq ft of flooring from Home Depot. We are very easy to work with. Please HELP!

I live out of state but when I’m in town I go to this store to get things I need for my cousin’s house. Staff is amazing and helpful.They do the best they can. I needed help and got all the assistance I needed. They never fail to amaze me. ( Kimberly is a sweetheart. Keep her. )

If you're looking for a place to give you a quote on cabinets, waste 4+ hours of your time, and then have the cost be 3 times more than what you were initially told, this is the place for you! I used to come here all the time but I don't plan on being back. Cannot believe what took place with one of your cabinet designers and how badly they led us astray. Thanks for nothing.ANDDDD your appliance delivery team can’t install a simple dishwasher and uses the excuse that they can’t turn the breaker off WHEN ITS ON A PLUG
