Store employees were totally cool and very knowledgeable of their products. Prices were competitive and offered additional discount with free membership. Although it was not a big deal, but the whole store was a bit messy and smelled like wet dog.

Everyone at the store was great. We bought two Ferrets they were helpful as could be. And gave us a discount for taking both ferrets and not breaking up there year long friendship in the store

Can't beat a convenient dog wash deal that doesn't involve breaking your back bending over your bathtub, having to completely clean your bathroom when you're done washing your dog, or keeping a plethora of dog wash products around cluttering up your house, AND you don't have to do a load of laundry for towels when you're done. Walk in with a dirty dog, walk out with a clean dry one. SO CONVENIENT!You can purchase 1 wash for $14.99 or buy a wash card for 5 washes for $40 which saves you $6 per wash, PLUS, for every 8 washes you get 1 wash for free if you register your email on the website.They have all the supplies you need:Water sprayer, air dryer, a variety of shampoos to choose from, and towels. Each wash station has a short lead that can be repositioned with a clip to either the left or right side of the wash station for ease of washing.There are 3 elevated wash stations inside a gated area, the middle wash station is elevated slightly higher than the other two wash stations which is perfect for small dogs. There is a one hour time limit on each station.Highly recommend.

I purchased 2 bearded dragons, and a tarantula from this store. I now have gone into the store for the THIRD time where there are ZERO crickets, roaches (that aren’t dead), or mealworms…. The excuse is always “we have to feed our animals”…. When more than half the reptile tanks are empty. I also purchased fresh water fish here and the 18YO kid didn’t know anything and sold me cichlids and tropical fish together….. all of my fish were eaten and I was livid. The same kid always has air pods in and doesn’t pay attention. I am done with this company and will be moving my business elsewhere

If I could give zero stars I would.Samantha used to work in the grooming salon there, until her wreckless behavior was the cause of a beloved family dog being euthanized.Now she is a manager in the front of the store. Absolutely disgusting. Watch her around your pets.

We were a bit hesitant about coming to this location as the one in Painesville(which is close to our home) has not always been pleasant. I am however glad that we did. We were helped by a young gentleman named Noah. He made the store experience great. He was very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. He helped us with information on dog adoptions at another location as well as gave us some advice and information about caring for our new pet Guinea pig. We picked out some great treats and food for our pet as well as a new water bottle for her. He also showed us the Guinea pigs and skinny pigs when we are ready to get our Guinea pig a pal. He was very kind and helpful. He even showed us the proper cage for when we do add another piggy to our home. I truly appreciate the time and kindness he showed us. Very intelligent, polite and kind young man . And I just love his passion for animals. That is important ! We will definitely be returning to this specific location for our future pet needs. I hope he is appreciated there because he deserves it and should be acknowledged. Thank you again Noah.

10.19.23 staff here is always nice. Had to take pup in for tooth brushing. Jennifer took her time and Gracie was comfortable enough for her to get the back teeth(which I could NOT). Huge relief! Thx Jennifer c/o P.S.P.

Took our puppy to get groomed here. The groomers did a nice job. We had an issue with the cashier when we went to pay and for some reason the payment for grooming didn't go through. Someone called us and asked us to check to see if we had a pending charge on our account. If not, could we please come in and pay it. We checked and did not have a charge on our account so, because we are honest and accountable people, we went back to the store to pay the next day.First, we were given the incorrect price for grooming services. When we called to make the appointment, they told us it would be $32 for full service grooming. It ended up being $60. The groomer gave us a 10% off coupon to use. However, when we gave the 10% off to the cashier it didn't work because we didn't have an account with them. The cashier rolled her eyes and got frustrated because we wanted to set up an account to get the 10% off. Then, we had a return to make and she continued to vocally express her frustration. We asked for a receipt and when it printed, she pointed to it and said, "here" without actually tearing it off the machine and giving it to us.We did not HAVE to go back to pay for the grooming. It was the store's mistake for not charging us. But we did because they provided us a service. However, we will not be back after being treated so poorly. No good deed goes unpunished.

Was bringing my baby shihpoo here to get groomed. 1st couple of visits were fine, last visit not so good. Groomer "Will" was no longer with the company, Too many new groomers in training, our dog was acting differently and we noticed after we left, the groomer shaved an eyebrow off and never told us.

Purchased two containers of live mealworms ( 50 count ).Upon arriving home and opening the containers, I found that all of the mealworms in the first container were dead. In the second container, about half were dead !Went back to the store and was told by the manager that there was nothing they could do.Nice way to treat your customers !!!

these ladies in the grooming salon did a fantastic job on my doberman pinscher. He has never smelled or looked better. I’m very wary on where I take him because he is very high strung and is a bigger boy. They did awesome and he had the biggest smile on his face when I picked him up!!!! Thank you!!

I love PSP for their self-serve, dog wash stations! It's such a convenient place to wash your dog! The stations are always relatively clean and well stocked.

I stopped ordering online with a major company and started getting what I need for our two dogs at the Mentor location. This store carries many quality items that my dogs seem to enjoy. I recently found some top of the line treats they love. This was good news to a pet owner of a dog with several allergies!In addition to quality items they have excellent customer service!Employees and store managers are extremely friendly and helpful. They just don’t point you to the isle; they will take you there and show you what you are looking to buy.I like that the store is always neat and clean.Honestly, nine out of ten times I find what I need in stock. If they are temporary out I order online or I speak to the manager. There is no need to leave empty handed. I have never had to return anything so that is one area I can’t comment.I am a happy P S P Mentor customer!

I am not a dog person but had to buy dog food for my sons dog. This one staff member was the BOMB! He knew so much about breeds and food quality and what were the better brands and even where they were made. Great experience.

Usually everything is OK from this location except when I buy crickets. Every time I do they're a dozen or more short. I know they're not crazy expensive but it's nice to actually get what you pay for instead of being skipped every time to save a few dollars...

I always get my dog food here. They have a good selection of natural food choices. Our dogs love the giant pressed raw hide sticks. They also recently remodeled their fish tank area. We get our fish and fish supplies here often. Also the staff is wonderful. I brought my rescue pit mix who is afraid of everything and everyone for a nail trim and they were so kind and gentle.
