It is a great place. They carry top of the line food. Owner is very knowledgeable and can set you up with a food to suit your babies. He has probiotics that are made to canine DNA which has worked tremendously for my one year old that has allergies. My puppy is a rescue witch came with issues which now she is doing fantastic. Absolutely recommend this place for your fur babies nutrition

Stopped in yesterday with my husband to pick up supplies for our rabbits, dog, and cat. I wish I never shopped for pet supplies anywhere else!The lady behind the counter was so sweet. They have my old pups favorite dog food there (Honest Kitchen) and carry a great variety of bunny supplies. The reptile area is marked at prices you simply will not find anywhere else. Their pet food selection is great and many healthy treats I know my boy will love. Picking up a cod skin for him next trip.

Great lil family owned pet food/accessories store. The owner is knowledgeable about pet nutrition and always has good advice/suggestions. Friendly staff and usually lots of free samples. Reasonable prices too...beats going to the chains!

We were happy with the large selections available for our allergy prone dog, and elder cat. The owner was very helpful - in person and on the phone. We even purchased our outdoor bird seed & suet on our first visit. The prices are fair and we are now regulars. The location is easy to find & lots of parking.

Mark the owner is not only a great person and his knowledge as a vet tech has been very helpful for my wife and I on countless times that we have shopped in his store and his mom Shirly is the sweetest person with such an uplifting personality. Heartlands prices are very competitive and Mark carries what other pet stores do not in the way of a great source of food products you won't find in the big box stores. I highly recommend going to heartland if you have never shopped there yet.

Heartland Pet Center is now our local go to store for all of our dog food, toys and treats. It's refreshing to walk into a pet store, that is actually clean and organized. Not to mention, there is no dog piles to navigate around at the entrance. I happened upon this store with my Boxer puppy a few weeks ago and we are so happy we did. This store carries a large selection of quality food, treats and everything else in between you will need. I like the fact, for every 10 bags of food you buy, you earn a free bag of food! The owner, Mark is very nice to talk with and is extremely knowledgeable about the products he sells. I highly recommend you try this store and support local family business!

I was recently looking for a specialty item that I usually can only find online. Online I found this pet store in Medina who had the product that I wanted. Upon checking, the item was expired and needed to be re-ordered. I received an email from the store stating this and was even able to get it in the flavor that I wanted. Holistic Hound bites work well for my dogs arthritis. I will definitely use this pet store again. The customer service was outstanding! I highly recommend shopping here.

This place is my new favorite find in Medina. The owner is super nice and very knowledgeable about dog dietary needs. Which is particularly helpful for me, who has the pickiest dog in the world. He also helped my sister, whose dog has intestinal issues.The best thing I've found in this place are these dried strips of beef liver that my dog devours. She never eats treats, but she loves those.Aside from the great products they carry, I also like shopping here, because I grew up in a family business, and I always try to give my money to local people rather than a guy living in some penthouse in N.Y.

Great local pet care store, homemade goodies, healthy treats too. Have puppy 14 years old, very sensitive tummy, found food with only 3 ingredients, no additives at all, Just chicken, chicken broth and green beans, she thinks she’s human and this food is perfect for her! Owner is very nice and is very helpful & knowledgable about the quality products that he carries.SHOP LOCAL! The only way to keep local business!

After Googling many pet product stores, e.g. Petsmart, Pets Plus, Chewy and even the great Walmart I came across HeartLand Pet Center in search of a Kong Dog Protective Collar. Based on the price alone, I decided to travel from Akron to Medina for purchase. Since this was my first time shopping here we engaged in a detailed conversation. I found Mark, the owner, to be of great assistance with such deep character concerning domesticated pets. In furtherance of Mark’s character he is very polite and professional. I noticed the store was very clean and well organized. This alone speaks volumes for me. Like most pet owners I am choosy what I buy for my cat and 2 dogs. In any event, I found that HeartLand’s prices were way cheaper than those big retailers I mentioned earlier. I purchased the Kong Dog Protective Collar for 50% less than if I had purchased it from those other stores. Furthermore, it was cheaper than online retailer Chewy’s products to include the shipping cost. I informed Mark based on this first time single experience I would travel from Akron to patronize his establishment. I appreciate kindness, quality service and products at fair prices. If I wasn’t so over stocked on pet foods, toys and pet essentials I would’ve purchased a lot more. Mark thanks for being in the pet business.

This place is awesome. Locally owned and operated and while the chain stores refused to order the adult food of the puppy food that I used, this place not only carried the food but offered to order anything that they didn't carry. They've earned a customer for life.
