We have been AWAH clients for over 4 years. We have 1 Jack Russell mix and 2 chihuahuas. We recently got a bernedoodle. We are new to owning a Doodle breed and didn't realize daily grooming is a must! He was an absolute matted mess, so we took him to get groomed by Becky. I felt horrible and knew he needed to be completely shaved. When we picked him up, he looked absolutely amazing and much happier! My son asked Becky for some grooming tips so we could avoid the mats in the future. We love our groomer and are so thankful she was able to help him feel and look better! I highly recommend Becky and the services offered at Anthony Wayne Animal Hospital! :)

My dog usually comes here yearly for vet visits, but recently he had an emergency and was a transfer from an emergency vet where he was diagnosed with diabetes. Doctor Reece and all the vet techs took such good care of him, kept in constant contact with us, and explained everything to us so well. I am confident with my dog's care team. Thank you!

Very caring staff from the front desk to the exam rooms❤️ my dog was at the end of his life and they were beyond accepting of us and his needs. When it was time for him to be put to rest the staff was amazing and made the process as comfortable as possible. We recently adopted a kitten and they were very knowledgeable about his care going forward!

We are new to this vet. when we went to go to the appointment the dog wouldn't get in the car. this is the first time this has ever happened. call the office to let them know we may be late and why. Her attitude was total different. I asked to reschedule and she said you can't keep rescheduling. this was my first time asking to be rescheduled, and I'm open for any suggestions. She didn't even comment or say no I don't have any ideas or let me speak to the vet. We rescheduled and when I called to cancel the appointment for the same reason. She had a smart a** attitude, and the first thing come out of her mouth we are not going to keep rescheduling. you would have thought I was a customer that changed the appointments all the time. I said to her thank you for your compassion and concern for my dog. if we get another dog I will contact you. let's be truthful why would I want my dog to go somewhere where she act like she don't care about animals. also you all are keeping my deposit. I have had a dog all of my life. I have had three dogs in my adult years and in 42 years. I have never had anyone in the office be so uncompassionate or speak to me this way about my dog. so I will write it off as it was not meant for them to be his veterinarian. the reason I needed a new vet is because the old veterinarian closed.

AWAH was great as a new patient family. We were able to get scheduled quickly and had no issue with our records transfer. The team on site was friendly, prompt, and caring. I felt heard with concerns and that my pet was in good hands.

Last week when I came home from work my doggie came to greet me and I noticed her left eye was SO swollen that it was almost shut! I called all around to the vets(5) closest to me but no one could see her for weeks! My brother recommended AWAH. Even though it's longer drive for me I called them the next morning and Dakota was so pleasant and gave me 2 appointment options right away. I got my girl in the next day. Trying to rule out a tooth or sinus infection we started her out on antibiotics, then a follow up if were to get worse. I'm happy to say she is all better now. So good in fact that she's running around like a pup again❣️ I called shortly after her appt because I had a question, Kat answered and put me on hold to go find out what I needed to know👍🏽. Everyone was so nice. The facility was very clean and inviting. The price I paid for visit & meds was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them👍🏽👍🏽

Our first time here with our new boxer babies. We were greeted and taking care of promptly upon entering the facility. The technician and Vet both answered all our questions without making us feel like we were bothering them. I genuinely feel like they cared about our boys.

A couple of days ago, my sweet sweet pup had a medical emergency while at the groomer. She went completely unresponsive and I rushed to pick her up, terrified that I was going to lose her, and rushed her to the nearest Vet which happened to be AW Animal Hospital. They fit us into their already packed schedule!! They were so incredibly kind and compassionate and my pup received excellent care. I will be forever grateful to this facility and their loving staff and recommend them time and time again to everyone I know. Thank you so incredibly much. Your kindness meant everything in one of my scariest moments.

I'm torn about this place. All of the people who work there are incredible, but the reason we had to go there on the 28th of this month is that we had to put our dog down. Max had become very sick over the last few days. Come to find out he was diabetic. We had no idea, I think this had been going on for several years. To the point, it had severely damaged his kidneys to the point of kidney failure. We felt at his age and his condition, the most humane thing to do was to euthanize him.

I have had our cat Breezy at Anthony Wayne Animal Hospital 4 times since Spring of 2022. I come from Monroe, Michigan to see Dr. Reece specifically. He is an exceptional veterinarian. I was able to have Dr. Reece see Breezy the day I called for an emergency with her. He was very concerned, caring, and knowledgeable in regards to Breezy's health. I could tell just from on conversation that he genuinely loves his pets and job. He made me feel very comfortable like I could talk or ask him anything. He didn't try to rush me out of the office. He took his time with us. We could tell that he has many years of experience working with pets and their owners. He didn't try to push unnecessary testing as some newer vets have done. He treated Breezy and gave his professional opinion as if she were his pet. He is an asset to the hospital. Dr. Reece is definitely the vet you want your pets to see.

The vet tech and receptionist were very nice and seemed to care about our dog. The vet, Dr Reece didn't listen/dismissed most of our concerns about our older dog he only focus one. We have had better experience there in past.Addendum: since my review they have reached out to us and are actively working on the issues we are having with our senior dog.

The care and compassion the people have that work here is unmatched.We found out our dog had possible cancer 10/27. After learning this we wanted to get a second opinion, which we got at Anthony Wayne Animal Hospital.From the beginning they were very thorough. Explaining everything in great detail and allowing us to ask as many questions as needed. Very knowledgeable in many areas.The staff called to check up on our dog multiple times throughout.When the time came for us to put our dog down they worked extremely hard to fit us in right then and there. They made sure we were completely comfortable and again explained what would happen. They gave us the option to leave the room or stay. It was an extremely hard moment for our family, but knowing what was happening step by step was in someway comforting.This establishment is full of amazing and kindhearted humans.I would highly recommend anyone with an animal bring them here.

I am slightly disappointed…. Everyone was extremely nice except for the vet himself. My kitten came in with prior vet paperwork, and I don't think it was looked at. He said my kitten was 8 months old when her records clearly show DOB and that she is 5 months old…. Also, he asked “Are you looking to get her declawed? Now is the perfect time to do it” ummm absolutely not!!! That’s something that shouldn’t be mentioned unless the client brings it up. Also he had almost no interaction with the cat which was somewhat strange. Im hoping she was looked at in the back room at least? Tying to decide if I should find a new vet or not 😭, other than that, the experience was great.

The vet seemed very forgetful and dismissive of my cat’s history with allergies. My cat has been on allergy shots for 2 years that have helped improve her quality of life tremendously. Every time I took her to this vet I had to keep reminding the vet that she’s on monthly allergy shots and has had bad flare ups in the past. The vet was concerned about a sore on her foot and gave us numerous ways to help, but none of them helped for long periods of time.The next time her foot got inflamed, we took her to a different vet, and he determined it WAS her allergies causing her foot to flare up. Gave us steroids to help with the flare up and her foot improved very quickly over a couple of days.

The receptionist, the nurse and the doctor were incredible. They explained instructions, thoroughly in layman's terms; the same in regards to the current treatment plan and what my options following an undesired outcome, just in case. They helped ease my own anxiety by allowing me to ask a lot of questions and receive clarification when I needed it. There were questions that they already answered for me before I even need to ask; like the "how's" and the "where's." There was not a single hint of dismissiveness in response to my tangible list of concerns. There was no negative judgment that followed opening up about my ignorance, or about methods I have tried in the past that didn't work (i.e. over the counter products or application errors).They were extremely understanding about my hesitation, and my cat's. Extremely resourcefuland knowledgeable, I could feel the tension leave my body after talking to the doctor for the first few minutes. I, in no way, felt rushed either and I'm grateful that they took their time and were able to intentionally be present during the appointment.I'm also thankful for the receptionist who gave me detailed answers, when discussing expenses moving forward and what I should expect.All workers that I engaged in some conversation with during my visit, interacted with kindness and patience.

We recently moved from out of state 6 months ago and have not yet been able to establish a vet yet. I called as we have an old cat that suddenly took a down turn Monday and then became severe over the night of Thursday night. They refused to see him as we were not an existing client. I have a cat that is dying and in need of proper care most likely euthanasia. I was told that they reserve that service typically for existing patients and denied us. The receptionist at the desk made it a point to state that we had an appointment that was cancelled in the past as were unable to get in that day and had to. I have other animals as well. I most certainly will not be bringing in any of pets now or in the future to this place.

If your taking your pet here make sure they see Doctor Chu and not Doctor Reese, I’ve been taking my small pets here for over a year and had no issues with doctor chu, until I took my cat in to see doctor Reese, he completely ignored all of my concerns , took one look at my cat as said it was a neurological condition started recommend ACUPUNCTURE. Took my cat to a different vet that actually listened to my concerns and he was diagnosed with diabetes almost immediately! a very simple condition even Reese could not catch? Won’t be taking my cat here again

I’ve use this vet for a number of years and I don’t know what’s different, but I feel very unwelcomed there. I was not greeted when I came in. They seem to rush me to the door. Payment was certainly a priority . my dog Gracie is incredibly important to me, and I am very conscious about her health. The entire appointment felt rushed, and the vet seem very uninterested in talking to me about a Gracie. After I left my first thought was to find a new veterinarian.
