Amazing!! This place is a bit pricey compared to other doggy daycares but they are SO worth it!! You really get what you pay for here! My pup is always so happy when we pull in to drop her off and she absolutely loves the staff! She’s not super friendly with just anyone so that says a lot. I love that there aren’t too many dogs here at once because it allows each one to get some good loving and attention. The enrichment option is awesome. I always choose that one when it’s available. With enrichment, my dog doesn’t just come home tired. She is genuinely so happy as well. And not just happy to see me, but happy that all of her needs were fulfilled!!

My dogs love this place. They stayed for a weekend and came home very happy. I think Dirk is the dog whisper. The staff is great. Went for grooming also, like that they towel dry them and then air dry.I am writing a year later after bringing our new rescue Gertie for a puppy makeover. As always AWITP has been wonderful in making our new family member feel welcome and safe. Our other two love going for times they can not be with us and they are never stressed while being there. I only wish I could bring them more often for day care, they are happy pups. And that makes us happy. Wouldn’t go anywhere else with them.l

This is our 6th year coming to AWITP. Riley is now 9 and she still gets excited every time we pull in to the parking lot.The Little Pack is one of a kind. A group of only little dogs with their own special play yard outside and their own special play room inside! Great place for both big and little dogs!!!Dirk and his staff are truly amazing. Dirk is extremely knowledgeable about dog behaviors and he makes sure his staff is well trained and educated. Riley loves her time at daycare - she is always happy going in and just as happy at the end of the day. The kennel free environment is awesome and the dogs are never left alone overnight! Riley also gets groomed at the “ranch”- she does a great job and his gentle with the dogs. Dirk also offers free services like group dog walks - he is always willing to help others with any dog issues they may have. AWITP is the best!

Hands down, the best doggy day care in town! They take such great care of our pups and they are always smiling and excited when they are there. The enrichment program is also fantastic and keeps the dogs actively engaged while they are there. Also, the staff, they are soooo good with the pups. I never worry when I leave my fur babies with them.

I am editing my previous review. We have been taking our dogs here for 5 years and LOVED it. However, with the recent changes in costs, we can no longer afford to bring our dogs here. We contacted the agency and asked if there are any other options and told to call back when we can afford it. We now have to take them to another daycare that does not have round the clock care. Very disappointed!

Poor! The place literally stinks! Grooming was sub-par i.e doesn't look like a Shauzer cut to me. Barely took anything off but then there were patches where fur was missing i.e. gapped up. Our dog wasn't brushed out and got hair/fur all over us and car on the way home. I hope the dogs that are boarded there don't smell like the place does when they go home. I have been going to A Walk in the Park for about 5 years. They provide excellent service but some of their policy changes will leave you scratching your head. I tried to get my dog boarded for an upcoming work trip and was told that in order to board your dog has to come every other week for them to be boarded. When asked for a recommendation for another boarding provider Lisa said that there were no recommendations that she can make.After receiving 5 years of praise for my dog's behavior and disposition, as well as helping to support them for 5 years (recommending them to co-workers and friends) I am so disappointed that they have made changes like this.

Our dog, Miki, has been coming here for about a year now, and it’s been an entirely positive experience. My dog is now super happy to get in the car because she loves coming here. Staff has always been great about communication if I have any questions or concerns, and they are always working on improving things and learning more which we love! Her behavior has definitely improved from working with the staff and having the social interactions which is an added bonus

We love a walk in the park!! We are so grateful to have such a wonderful and safe place to take our pup when we have to work!! He is so tired out when we pick him up, which means he must be getting so much playtime!!! They post videos to their Facebook page and we can see how much fun he is having. Everyone is so kind and i love that when i drop him off or pick him up they know him by name!! A great place to bring your doggy for daycare or overnight stays!

Our old groomer from Let's Train Toledo is no longer grooming, so we tried out "A Walk in the Park" based on the reviews and the nomination in "Toledo's Best". Unfortunately we aren't really happy with our experience and probably will not be returning.Our original appointment was cancelled due to a family illness, which is no problem and we are 100% understanding of. It was rescheduled for 12/23/22 during the forecasted cold snap.Were told the appointment would take approx. 2 hours, but after 3 we had not been contacted at all so my partner drove back to the location to check and was told it would be another 20 minutes. He went outside to wait in his car since there is no indoor seating area, and over an hour later received notice that she was finished. This was 4 hours later. We suspect her appointment wasn't started on time, but when it is that late I would expect a little communication from the business about the delay, especially during a blizzard.The thing that mostly upsets us, is after 4 hours she was sent home with him still wet all over her body, when it was negative 6 degrees out at the time. That seems unreasonable to me. Aside from that, she had not been brushed out after the trim and dropped cut fur all over our car and house. We paid for a medium coat-full groom, our personal specifications for the trim were that they focus on her ears, tail, and paws. These were cut very sloppy in our opinion, and we had to finish her trim at home. Tops of her paws were untouched.For reference, she is a 55lb golden/labrador mix.We really wanted to love our experience and just did not! I wasn't there during pickup, but in general my partner said the staff was very unpleasant and unwelcoming during the entire transaction. This all may have been a side effect of the poor weather, but it does not make us want to return.

I would recommend AWITP to everyone. My pup is in good hands there. I can tell she enjoys playing with the other dogs. She comes home exhausted. If she needs to stay overnight there is a staff member during the night watching over our pups.

I have been taking my 8 month old Maltipoo puppy to AWITP for about a month and am all around very satisfied. I have used the day care service for both short stays and all day stays. I appreciated the extensive screening before being accepted to use the services. I have interacted with several different staff members and each one has been professional and has shown caring and attention that Gracie is well cared for and happy. On her last stay I scheduled a bath for the end of the day and it was such a treat to pick up a clean sweet smelling puppy (and very tired from her fun day)! I look forward to many more great experiences at AWITP!

A Walk in the Park is a great place to leave your dog when you are away! You can count on the staff to take care of your pet just like you would at home. They are professional and courteous. I love that my dog can play with other dogs and is not stuck in a cage and is safe with dogs his own size. They also have areas for enrichment for the dogs, so they aren’t just roaming around. I feel at ease when I leave Boomer with the staff at A Walk In the Park!

A walk in the park is an awesome place to take your dog for grooming! They did such a great job when my 1 year old goldendoodle had matting fur for the first time. They take their time with him, let him play and make sure he has a good experience from early on. I know this, because he gets excited when dropping him off, and he never wants to leave! They were even flexible when I dropped him off without the correct appointment time (oops). Thank you for being so great with my pup!

Have not used the facilities yet only had a zoom call. Will post more after spending time with them. So this is to update. The staff was very friendly when we met them. Roscoe almost didn't want to come home he had so much fun. We got updates on how his assessment went and now he can go anytime. First full day it looks as though he left all his energy there lol guess he had to much fun.

This was Huck’s first time getting groomed at A Walk in the Park and I was nervous. Even with a “happy pill,” he can get a bit snarky. Overall, everything was good. He looks great and Misty tools her time with him and dealt with his “grumpy old man” attitude with patience.The only complaints I have are related to communicating with the business. When I initially tried making an appointment, I called the number listed on their website and could not get through to anyone. It wasn’t until I completed the online application that i received a call from Lisa. We discussed that Huck needed updated vaccines and that he would have them by the time of the appointment. Two days before his grooming appointment, I tried calling the main number again because I wanted to confirm his appointment since he will have gotten the vaccines less than 24 hours prior. I could not get through to anyone. I submitted an email through the website, but still had to call Lisa directly the day before. Thankfully all was good. Only other thing, and it’s actually minor, is that I had spoken to Lisa at least twice prior to the appointment and explained what I wanted. That information did not get passed along to Misty, so she had to call me to find out.Like I said, overall everything was good and I will likely take Huck back.

Great place that is very thoughtful about dogs and dog care. My dog is a shy little dog that can't be crated because she hurts herself trying to get out. Walk In The Park staff "get her" and ha helped her acclimate to Walk In The Park and become more comfortable with other people and dogs. They are all about safety first. The survey to start going to Walk In The Park is super long, so be prepared ;)...Imsee the length as a positive as it speaks to their interest to really get to know all about your dog and how and where the dog will be most comfortable and to keep all the dogs safe. The owner is super into all kinds of kennel and dog day care industry standards and certifications and the latest trends and research on dogs, enrichment, the fear-free dog movement, fear-free training...They have very progressive views about dogs. The business invests in training for staff and has well-established processes and protocols. This is a great place. More expensive than other places in Toledo area but to me it is worth it because of their philosophy and thoughtfulness about what is best for dogs of various personality, life stage, size...

Absolutely so happy with their grooming. Been to other places, and this by far is the best. Dierk currently has been doing Teddy’s grooming and I hope he always will be there. Lisa also is very helpful and courteous every time I call. Great place!!

The people at A Walk In The Park really care about our pup, and make sure she is engaged and has a good time while she is there. She loves people, and I know they give her attention throughout the day, instead of just leaving her alone in a pen if there aren't other small dogs for her to hang out with. She runs to the front door at drop-off time, so happy to be there.

I took Monte to get groom on Thursday. I didn't expect much because he is a very hyper puppy. When my Husband pick him up I was totally shocked. He looked great. They even put a little cologne on him. While bathing him they also found that he had a ear infection that the vet missed. I would definitely use them again.

Just picked up my happy dog after a week at “camp”- freshly groomed and tired from all the playing. She is so well cared for there, we do not worry about her at all. I love that they all sleep together. We love the social media posts too! Everyone who works there is great.

My dog loves the doggie day care at A Walk in the Park. They spend a lot of time outside in a large play yard with little swimming pools available in warm weather. They are open late for pick up which has been beneficial for us when we board him. The dogs sleep in a room together with staff so they are not in kennels which I like. Dirk, the owner, is great. Very knowledgeable. We appreciate all they do on behalf of our dog :)

We are new to A Walk in the Park as we just took our Archie to his first puppy play care class and he loved it!!! We were pleasantly surprised when Cori brought Archie to the car and gave us a full run down of his day and what to expect in the future! There was a binder just for us and how best to engage and stimulate our new puppy at home and games to play with him. I felt comfortable leaving him and the team was great!!

Update:. I've been using pretty much all of the services at Walk in the Park for years now. Dirk and his team are outstanding. Our dogs come home happy and tired. They are challenged physically and, more importantly, mentally when they visit the ranch. Thank you Walk in the Park!!
