We adopted Sheba (formerly Axel) from Forty Corners Animal Rescue in August. She had a cold at the time of our visit and we weren't allowed to take her home until she was healthy. She instantly stole our hearts and has blended seamlessly into our family. We had originally selected a different name for her, but after a very short time, we realized she was definitely the "queen" of the house! The Rescue was very clean and the staff were exceptional. When we took her to the vet the first time, we found out that our vet was the same the rescue used. We highly recommend Forty Corners! Thank you for our sweet girl!

Would recommend forty corners rescue to anyone looking to adopt a fur baby in need. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We adopted Theodore “Teddy” this summer. He’s a happy, healthy boy with the sweetest personality! He’s currently mastering puppy training and loves meeting new people. He is the perfect addition to our family!

We adopted both of our 2 cats 6 months apart from 40 Corners in 2021/2022. Very helpful staff, clean facilities, and well cared for animals. We loved working with Alex (Sarah), Janine, and Lauren. Rebel and Rupi (FKA Athena) are the best fur babies we could have ever gotten. Highly recommend this rescue!!!

I adopted the newest addition to our family, KitKat from Forty Corners Animal Rescue! The cats are separated from the kittens, and both areas were extremely clean. The cats had multiple bowls of food and water, with many toys and a couch to socialize on. KitKat has had no issue adapting to our home, and I honestly think it’s due to the fact of how well treated and socialized she was at Forty Corners. If you’re thinking of adopting, I would definitely choose this place!

I am so thrilled with my experience! I got the most lovely, well mannered kitten from here. Upon walking into the building, you can tell that the animals are well loved and taken care of. The animals are also very well adjusted to people. The website is easy to navigate and the adoption process is quick and easy. Jeremy is doing a great job as manager and Allie is very knowledgeable about the dogs and pups they have available. It was easy to tell that they both care about what they do and enjoy doing it. Cloud has settled right into our home and even made a best friend with our neighbors dog. I recommend always check the rescues and shelters when looking for a new furry addition, 40 Corners is excellent.

Staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Animals are all very friendly and appear well cared for. The most important thing is that they are NOT kept in cages. An excellent alternative to the humane society. I would definitely recommend.

Great rescue facility and a great group of caring people. They have a lot of land and great people working with them to give the animals the best care. I dropped a puppy off today who was a stray who showed up at our door and they were super caring and kind and I felt very comfortable with everyone here. They were definitely already getting full from all the rescues and still managed to make room for the puppy knowing my concern with sending him to a pound. Definitely a great place to adopt or foster from very clean and loving place! Adopt don’t shop

UPDATE: After a change in management, 40 Corners ended up apologizing and covering our entire ER vet costs. We are sad that these pups didn't get treated right away, but we are so thankful that 40 corners assisted us with the costs of saving our beautiful baby girl.My fiancee and I adopted a golden retriever puppy from this rescue a week ago. Within a couple days we noticed something was off. We took her to the ER vet 3 days after adopting due to symptoms such as diarrhea, not eating, and vomiting. The vet told us that she most likely had a GI parasite and she was treated in the hospital for 3 full days and nights. I tried to contact Forty Corners multiple times through phone, email, and Instagram to tell them that the other puppies most likely have the parasite as well. I wanted them to tell the other adopters and have the remaining puppies checked at the vet since without treatment she probably would not have survived. If you adopted one of these puppies, PLEASE go get them checked by the vet. And to this organization, shame on you for not taking responsibility for the well being of these sweet pups. I hope you treat the pups and adopters better in the future.

BEWARE! “Rescue” selling sick “breeder” puppies!Where to begin. Our experience with 40 Corners Animal Rescue was a nightmare. I can’t believe there are so many good reviews, as this is a truly unethical organization. We “adopted” an English Cream Golden Retriever puppy that we found via PetFinder just over a week ago.The red flags: The background check process was completed within minutes of contacting the organization, the vaccine documents were Xeroxed copies with no vet signature, no applications were needed to be submitted in advance = no vetting process, adoption fee was $200 and the associate, Heather Smith was extremely aloof and showed minimal interest in the puppies.The worst: The puppies are sick! While visiting we noticed one of the puppies was vomiting. We still decided to “adopt” a puppy, and we made an immediate vet appointment, as he was consistently vomiting and throwing up upon bringing him home. Within 24 hours, our puppy was hospitalized at an emergency vet for 4 nights. He had a GI parasite and a contagious bacterial infection, most likely due to improper care. After 6 attempts (calls and text messages) to contact the GM, over the course of several days, Jeremy Lovell finally responded. During my conversation with Jeremy, he disclosed the “rescue” works regularly with a breeder(s) to bring in puppies and this was not the first incident of sick puppies.The good: Jeremy willingly did offer to cover the emergency vet costs. However, we still have an outstanding vet bill and have not received a response back in 5 days, after several attempts.An organization claiming to be a registered, non-profit “rescue” should NOT be selling breeder puppies. It’s shocking and disgusting that this organization has many good reviews and positive press. If you’re considering adopting, do your due diligence and do not work with 40 Corners Animal Rescue. They do not care about the overall well-being of animals and are contributing to the horrible puppy-mill practices in Ohio.

LOVE this rescue! Talked to Jeremy on the phone about 4 abandoned newborn kittens. So very nice to talk to. I brought the kittens out and met Patty….what a beautiful soul she is! I know those kittens will get the proper treatment they need with Patty ❣️ the place is just beautiful and clean. Patty sorry I was such a blubbering mess …I just felt so sorry for those poor little souls…but I now know they will be just fine.Thank you Jeremy and Patty for all you do for the animals. You guys are awesome!

Great experience! Lauren was so helpful with answering questions and guiding us through the easy adoption process. They do require an appointment to visit but were able to accommodate us quickly. We went to adopt two kittens (lots to choose from) and ended up with the two little guys and an adult female. All of the animals seemed healthy and well cared for. These folks are doing really great work. Highly recommend!

I was in the process of rescuing a dog and wasn't sure if I could find a home, I called 3 local rescues, and they all told me no. I was referred to Forty Corners, they made accommodations and was going to accept the dog. We ended up keeping him (let em spend the night and it's all over haha) But a HUGE Thank You to Forty Corners for being ready and willing at the drop of a hat!

Forty Corners is a fantastic rescue! The employees are kind, friendly, and knowledgeable! They keep the shelter very clean, and you can definitely tell they care about the animals! I would definitely adopt from them, and suggest to anyone to go there! I was impressed with the entire experience!

The owner was extremely unresponsive and gave us very conflicting information. I had already met one of their animals and when I decided to adopt, I emailed them that I wanted to move forwards. I didn’t receive a response and then followed up to see if I could adopt that day. I was told not to come on the off chance that an appointment that was made after I tried to reach out decided to officially adopt. I told them that I was 100% confident and would come immediately to adopt but I was told not to come. I was told that they didn’t place animals on hold but clearly that was a lie. This was a very disorganized and dishonest organization. Not worth your time or energy-they will just leave you disappointed.

Animals seemed to be very well taken care of. Loved it would definitely recommend, easy application process as well

Im sure the people who get to adopt the pets are thrilled with your business but how about those who fill out applications and wait wait wait to hear from you only to see that the pet has been adopted by someone else. You do not even bother to send an email after we give you personal information and answer all your questions like we are asked. Pet rescue places scarf up all the sellable pets from the dog pounds and then make people compete for them like its some kind of game show. You would let a family with young kids and several other pets adopt a kitten before a retired senior with no pets? not impressed and will not play the game.
