My first experience with Mason Animal Hospital was late last year, when I had them put my 22 year old cat put to sleep. They were so incredible: compassionate, caring, kind and thoughtful. They let me stay with my old girl through the whole heartbreaking situation.This visit, I brought my 18 year old baby in. They showed such a high level of care for my blind, deaf white cat that she didn't panic when they handled her. She doesn't like to be handled by anyone but me, so it said a lot that she was so good. Dr. Wolf is knowledgeable and treated my little girl so gently that I can't imagine taking her to another vet. The staff is excellent and demonstrates an obvious love of animals. Great experience.

Outstanding Vet services and staff. We have had Veterinarian's Gabrielle & Timothy care for our two Yorkies so far and both dogs had extensive care needed and surgery and the entire office was outstanding. Both dogs recovered quickly with no issues. They took such good care of the dogs, they were very clear in what they did, instructions following the services and everyone in there are just the nicest people. I would highly recommend them. They have us and our dogs for life.

I love this place! Our dog is reactive to other dogs (knowing this puts a lot stress on us), but they make special provisions every time. Letting us in the side door keeps everyone and every dog safe. The front desk staff are always so friendly and they go the extra mile for me.

We brought our corgi puppy Gus for his initial visit and we were so impressed with the safety procedures in place and how smooth the process was for his appointment. The staff was so friendly and took the time to understand everything going on with our new pup. We’ve been back for our second visit and we are quite happy with the continued care. Would definitely recommend!!!

Friendly staff, you can tell they enjoy what they do. Dr. Buttrey was outstanding! As a first-time puppy owner I had a lot of questions. Dr. Buttrey was patient with me and answered all of them during our puppy’s first vet visit. I look forward to seeing Dr. Buttrey at our next visit! Excellent experience!!

I have been with Mason Animal Hospital for over 50 years when Doc. Johnson used to make house calls. Have never met a more compassionate group of people. When you go in, they know your animal by name before your own (the way it should be), so you can bet the all mighty dollar is not on the forefront 😄. The doctors have saved the lives of our most precious loved ones. And when there is nothing (and I mean nothing) else that can be done, they are right by your side, sometimes crying more tears than you.

Absolutely the best care for your pet! Everyone there is kind, thoughtful and treat your pet with lots of love and great care. I have been taking my pets there for over 20 years, never a problem with how they treated my pets. Best care anywhere!!

If I could review Mason Animal Hospital zero stars I would! I had an emergency with my pup today, he had an allergic reaction and I was frantically looking for someone to help me. I went in, with my pup in tow and they could obviously see there was something wrong with him. A lady approached me and asked if I had an appointment, or if I was a client. I told her no to both and that this was an emergency. She said everyone was out to lunch, which I could clearly see that they weren’t, and she told me that she couldn’t help me. I highly do not recommend this place and especially how rude they were to me in an emergency.

We have been utilizing Mason Animal Hospital for over 16 years. When our 16 1/2 year old dog had a medical emergency that appeared to be a stroke or some other debilitating issue, we called the Mason Animal Hospital at 3:07 pm asking for an emergency appointment. We know they typically charge a premium for an emergency appointment which is fine (maybe not "right" but we would have paid it). Instead, we were told that they could not get our suffering dog into their schedule to evaluate her even though they were open until 6:30 p.m. We were fairly certain our dog's medical condition was going to result in euthanasia because she was suffering a lot. Instead of the Mason Animal hospital doing the right thing and supporting a 16+ year customer, they told us we could go to an animal urgent care or we could come in to the Mason Animal Hospital the NEXT morning. There was no way we were going to make our dog suffer longer by waiting until the next morning. Despite our tearful pleas to have our dog seen, the technicians told us Dr. Steck said she could / would not be able to see our dog. Ultimately we went to an animal urgent care immediately after being denied care by Mason Animal Hospital and our beloved dog sadly crossed the rainbow bridge. At least the animal urgent care facility took care of our needs for which we are thankful. Unfortunately Mason Animal Hospital didn't step up and do what was right after 16+ years of our dog coming to their facility and, in my opinion, step up to their role as an animal hospital and fulfilling their roles as a veterinary doctor for the animals in their care. If it was after hours or near the end of the office hours, I would understand.

Dishonest business practices. Received a letter in the mail saying that we owed a bill from a previous visit. Called in to see what it was all about, was told they had failed to add something to the bill during my last visit. Proceeded to charge me interest on a bill that I had no idea about until said received letter. Will be going to a different vet with less deceptive practices. Bill was paid in full, interest too, in order to avoid the threat of sending to collections. Financially punishing a customer over a clerical mistake on their end is just not a way to show any customer respect or appreciation.

Doctors, nurses and office staff are professional and always friendly. I recommend this office to anyone I know…and can’t imagine taking my dogs anywhere else from here on out.

We recently moved to Ohio and were in need of a new vet for our pets. Mason Animal Hospital was highly recommended and now we know why. They are excellent!The doctors and staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Appointments are easy to schedule and the team is very efficient.We are very happy with the care provided by the team, and our dog and cat have no anxieties whatsoever. We could not be happier with Mason Animal Hospital!

Our family has used this vet for 20 years until today. I called to let them know I was running late trying to get my 6 month old, two year old and 60lb Labrador out the door by myself. I arrived 12 minutes late and was charged a $15 late fee. No compassion or grace. That was the first time I have been late to an appointment ever and we have spent thousands of dollars here. When I called to switch our vet records to somewhere else they did not bat an eye or ask why- when I myself have been a customer for 7 years now. You would think they may ask why we are leaving. They are overpriced anyways- $200 for ear infection medication and a heart worm check. They’ll add a $60 “exam” no matter what you are there for, and try to get you to do every test possible just to add on charges. Never made it out of here for less than $200. So disappointed that they would lose a customer over $15 late fee. Made a bad day, worse.

This office, from the office staff to the Vet, are compassionate. They want you to understand what is going on with your pet and take the time to explain the details. If you have questions, they answer them with all the detail you need to fully understand. My dog is afraid of people but each person who held her did not invoke fear in her. This tells me everything I need to know about this entire office...they can be trusted to do right by your pet and YOU. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants the best care for their pet.

I've recently brought one of our latest new babies to Mason Animal Hospital. I've been coming to this vet for about 25 years now. They've welcomed our new babies and help say goodbye to our other babies. I've always had the best service and treatment. Always nice to be treated by such wonderful people! Thank you to all of you.

We have had only the most positive experiences at Mason Animal Hospital. The staff has been so caring when providing care to our golden retriever. We know that they are able to quickly identify the problem when she is not feeling well and provide many options for her care. We also know that she gets lots of love and treats when she is at the office, either for a well or sick visit!

We lost our precious Havanese of 16 years recently. We have a new pup of that breed and reluctantly left our long time vet in Fort Thomas. Just too far. We tried Mason Animal Hospital when pup Teddy had a sudden illness. We couldn’t be happier. Professional, friendly, caring service from docs, techs and receptionists. We are here to stay!!

I just got a little rescue dog three weeks ago and I took him to Mason animal care for his check up. Everyone was wonderful and you could tell that they loved the animals. They explained everything to me thoroughly and made us both feel very welcome. They answered all of my questions, of which I had many, and I left feeling confident that my dog would be in good hands.

Our latest visit here was to get our newest addition, Aspen neutered. This is the first time that I have met Abby and was truly impressed by her caring and expertise about what else was needed for Aspen. The surgery went well and Aspen is doing wonderful.We have been going to Mason Animal Hospital for around 26 years and could not be happier with the staff. Dr. Wolf has always been caring, knowledgeable and friendly. Carla and everyone at the front desk are always friendly and courteous.We feel like we are part of the family.I will continue to take my dogs to them as I have never had a complaint about their service or anyone there,

I have 3 dogs. Everytime I have called for information or an appointment they have gone out of their way to get us in. All the receptionist are very knowledgeable. And thanks so much to all the vets we have seen. My dogs just had a dental procedure and I was so worried about them and the tech gave me all.the information I needed and they did so well. Then today she called me to check on them and that meant so much to me. I would highly recommend Mason Animal Hospital. Everyone there has a great heart and cares about you and your pets. Thanks to each one of you.

Our Vet is Dr Wolf. Took our 7 year Golden Retriever in for immunizations due and couple of concerns. The Staff at Mason Animal Hospital are just terrific and very supportive and helpful. They arranged for me to go directly into an exam room since my Golden barks loudly at other animals. The Tech came and took Charlie almost immediately and he was examined and given his shots. Dr Wolf then came with Charlie to the room and spent time offering concrete suggestions on how to address my concerns. He is very patient, caring, and very knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior. He is just an outstanding Vet and so helpful!
