The staff at UCHS is truly one of a kind, they’re incredibly professional, loving and dedicated to what they do. I’ve never been to a cleaner facility than theirs! Kara is extremely kind and knowledgeable along with all of the other staff too. It’s clear they all love what they do!! I highly recommend going to UCHS for your next adoption or foster!

When I stop by to make a donation, I don't expect to be greeted with a marching band or given the key to the city, but a smile and a 'thank you', actually, even just one of those, would have been nice.Going forward, I'll find another shelter that needs and appreciates help.

Amazing. We have visited several Humane Society shelters. This is the most impressive by far. 1. The quality of volunteers shows the leadership and care of volunteer planning. The paid staff was attentive, sincere and thorough. The cleanliness of the facility was far above average. The labels and signage on all pet shelters were complete and intact. Animals were well attended and showed signs the volunteers and staff had worked with them and cared for them.

UCHS was a wonderful place with old staff. Unfortunately they have since fired amazing staff and rehired the dummies. The poor animals deserve smarter people.

We had such a positive experience adopting our sweet girl Bella. She was abandoned with her siblings and was very shy. The staff at UNION County Humane Society are very compassionate and friendly and went out of their way to make the transition smooth for this frightened little girl. You can tell the employees love and care for all the animals and their hearts are dedicated to saving them and finding them great homes!! We would definitely adopt again from this Humane Society! 🐕Thank you so much for saving our girl!! We love her so much!!❤

My cat went missing recently so my mom and I stopped by the Humane Society to see if anyone had dropped off our cat. Everyone there was super nice and comforting. We didn't find our cat there but they were very helpful about how to find her. We still haven't found her yet and it's been 4 days now but I'm hoping she comes home soon. The Humane Society took down our information and asked questions about our cat so if anyone dropped her in then they would call us.

Union County Humane Society is one of the best. Their caring nature and compassion shows through the countless hours of work that is put in for each and every animal that comes in. Everyday shelters deal with cases that may anger people, or help people all with one priority in mind. The animal care and compassion.Kara, the shelter manager is one of the most professional and respected in the business. The countless hours, dedication, faithfulness to the animals shows in her work.Many people do not understand the effort that is put in behind the scenes each and everyday. I highly recommend reaching out and volunteering your time to your local shelters or asking what YOU can do. Let’s all do our part!I am so thankful for Union County Humane Society and all of their work. Without them, animals in our community would suffer as we would!

The management of this humane society is disconnected from everything that happens in site. They let go of the staff that actually cares about the animals and are now exercising poor shelter practices.

As a volunteer at the Union County Humane Society, my eyes have been opened in the most positive way. Not only have I worked one on one with the healthy loving animals but also the hardworking staff. The staff genuinely care for these animals well being and go through every measure possible to ensure the safety of everyone animal and person who is in the building. I also had the wonderful opportunity to adopt my dog from this humane society. Even then were they professional about the situation and you really could tell they cared about where my dog ended up. Overall, I have had nothing but an amazing experience and would recommend adopting/volunteering to anyone.

We love UCHS! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It is evident that they truly care about the animals in our community. We have had six stray kittens spayed/neutered there and each time was a very positive experience. We cannot thank UCHS enough for their support in managing the rural, feral cat populations in our area. Also, their Cat Room is a great space for kittens awaiting their forever homes. All of their cats seem happy, healthy, and well socialized.

We have a stray kitten that has adopted our porch as his home. The humane society got him scheduled to be neutered at a very reasonable price. Everyone I have talked to is very friendly and helpful!

They only get 2 stars because they at least take in some animals. We recently decided to surrender our dog and we tried calling them. They would not pick up or return mu calls. Its been over a week and they still won't. I had to call the dog warden because of a different dog issue and they told me the humane society won't even take dogs right now. Yet they only have 4 or 5 dogs on their website for rescue. They have a kennel that houses close to 20 dogs. And because we are outside of different counties, alot of humane societies will not take him because he's not in that county. Thankfully, the Columbus humane did.

Extremely disappointed in this shelter. We had the local sherrif office pick up a stray that was outside our home. This poor dog was skin and bones, sores, teeth ground down, in need of food and water and medical attention. Clearly neglected. Was informed they released the dog to its owner the following day. Was told it was only missing for a day. This doesn't happen in a day. You are here to protect animals however you guys did the exact opposite. Will be filing formal complaints. I would steer clear of this place

So happy to see the changes here! I fostered a newborn kitten for UCHS from birth and they were so helpful through the whole process. I love that they have changed their hours and now have more weekend hours. It can be hard to find shelters that are open much at all on weekends.
