I had the pleasure of shopping the Dollar General Store in Martin's Ferry, Ohio this morning while I was on my way to St. Clairsville to pick up some groceries at Kroger. Tim greeted me as I entered and offered assistance. He smiled and made great eye contact. Tim checked me out at the register and made friendly conversation about the area. He was personable, considerate, and professional. I found everything I was looking for and the store was neat and organized. I would recommend Tim and this location to family and friends. Thank you, Dollar General for having a kind, personable employee like Tim. :)11-11-2023. I visited the Dollar General in Martin's Ferry, Ohio, today and had a great time shopping for my Saturday groceries. I found everything on my list, and all prices matched the receipt; Leeann was awesome. She greeted me upon entry and did a great job of checking me out, ensuring I received my $5 off $25 coupon discount. She smiled and made me feel right at home. I recommend this Dollar General location and LeeAnn to family and friends.

Parking is always hit or miss (on the street with meters). The store has plenty of products but isn’t organized particularly well. The last several visits were disappointing with the cleanliness of the store. Boxes and products were spread all over the aisles and in random locations. I have never had an issue with any of the employees working at this location, but I would suggest avoiding this location unless necessary. (Visited: 20+ times)

Worst DG in this valley! Oh it’s disgusting! Food and drinks sitting out everywhere like the whole staff just had lunch causing the store to smell! You can’t shop it’s SUCH a mess. Miscellaneous items just sitting everywhere it’s unexplainable. Staff acts like it’s a party at the front the store always outside smoking cigarettes.

I live close by so I go here pretty often. My 3 complaints are that they really don't carry enough stock. There's not much to choose from especially when it comes to hygiene products. And also, there's been a few cashiers who I've found rude and unprofessional. One specific time a cashier working was too busy flirting with the man in front of me that I literally had to wait for her to get done. Generally, they only have 1 cashier and it no doubt gets busy in there. On occasion I have gone there on my lunch break to get cigarettes and had to leave because the line was so long. Also, there is always stock sitting in the middle of the aisles inconveniently. Other than that, I'll continue shopping there when I don't want to go too far from home.

This place is crazy had to wait five minutes or better after I rang the bell several times before a cashier came up front then I got overcharged on some of the items I bought not very happy with that place. Sad part is that's the first time I ever went into that store it was so messy the Fords were so dirty I will never again go to that one.

The cashier was very nice. It was dark in the store. Maybe half the lightsbwas not on. On our way out the buzzer went off, the cashier said go ahead and go. When I got home he forgot to take a security tag off of an item I bought. So I'll be visiting it again today.

I cannot believe this store is allowed to operate as a business. Always dirty, empty shelves, loud, annoying workers who are more likely to be found outside smoking instead of stocking shelves and getting the product on to the shelves so you can actually push a cart through the already narrow aisles. I have been there when there was actual human feces on the floor but there was only one associate working the register and couldn't leave the front. Disgusting!!! Horrible place! Wish I could give 0 stars.

More organized than it was previously. Nice selection of items and staff are nice. It's pleasant to shop there. It's a bit crowded though and it can be hard to maneuver the cart through there.

Store called for assistance for a wildlife issue and didnt have the decency to call and cancel. Two of my other customers have to wait another day as management was provided with my contact number. Srated the landlord was handling it. Wonder how many game violations are being conducted if another company wasnt contacted.

This DG is always crowded and there is only one register open every time I run in there. The aisles are always blocked by merchandise that never seems to be getting stocked by anyone. I hardly ever see more than one employee working and that's the person running the register. Don't go here if you're in a hurry!

I go here often. Saving money is great. This dg is definately larger than most. The products are packed in. I always gind what i need. Its reasonably organized. The downfall with this store is they always only have one chashier everytime i go. I always have to wait to cash out. Maybe a couple times i was in and ojt but usually gotta wait.

Omg the DG in martins ferry makes me want to snap every time i go in there.. have a baby stroller and cant get thru store without bumping everything and always ouy of stock bc truck totes stay in aisles for days it seems or items just not reordered! The employees are always in bad moods and lines get store long bc noone will open a second register.. its chaos amd cluttered and frustrating... sad it is only choice to shop in area esp in walking distance!.. yorkville store so much better and its rough too.

I always love shopping here but since they moved the store 20 minutes down the road from the usual location their business has dropped down a lot and frankly I don't shop there as much as I used to

Although it seems a little more organized now than when it was located on S 4th St in Martins Ferry I preferred that location because it was closer to my apartment.

I am giving this store a 2 because it's not the cleanest store. It has been closed due to issues such as rodents for the last couple of weeks.
