I got excited when I discovered that a Stewart’s Drive In was in Marion. Maybe I am a bit biased being from Huntington, WV where I grew up on Stewart’s which is leaps and bounds better than this similar but totally different place here. It’s a shame really because I love the old school drive in concept. The service was slow as can be, the food too expensive and it just tasted okay. A place like this should have a lot full of cars, good vibe music and be quick. Maybe it gets like that come summer, just didn’t seem like that tonight.

I’ve lived in this town for years and this was my first time here. I keep forgetting that it exists because it’s on the way out of town and it’s a bit hidden by trees. It’s a nostalgic and adorable old drive-in with speaker boxes and a server that brings food to your car. I ordered fried veggies and a root beer float. My friend ordered a pork tenderloin, fried mushrooms and a float as well. Our food was hot, crispy and very good. The floats were perfect. Our server was friendly and efficient. Ordering and the wait to get food took a little while, but they were somewhat busy. I’m glad I finally tried it, and I’ll definitely be back.

I haven't had Stewart's since I was a kid. They had a stand up in Mansfield years ago. It was down the street from my house and I'd walk down and get deep fried mushrooms, a gallon of their sweet tea and a root beer float. 🤤 I'm not from Marion, was actually on the road for work and spotted this. Made my coworker turn around lol didn't know they had another stand! Was so excited!

Food was hot and fresh. Only issue we had was when finished we flipped switch and waited 20 minutes for someone to get tray, ended up taking tray in ourselves. Also bunch of teens hanging inside with no mask or social distancing. Had Pork tenderloin, onion rings, LG root beer.

The nostalgia or the food. Not sure which I love more! Best curly fries in town. Top it off with a cold frosty mug of Stewart's Root Beer, and I guarantee you'll keep coming back!

I've ate at Stewart's for 45 years and the service gets worse every year ,we waited for our food for 40 minutes why they took other orders, 3 people came in after us and they received their food and left, this will be the last time I ever go to this establishment

We have yet to find fries that measure up to Stewart’s!! 😋🍟Adding the Super Burger with extra super sauce and footlong coneys to our list of favorites. 🍔🌭Garbage Burger, fries, and a small diet root beer float. The onion rings are yummy too! Quick & delicious! Staff is always pleasant and happy to accommodate!Park and order and they bring it to your car or sit at the counter inside. No a/c but we still enjoy the option. We will keep going back!

Bad fast food experiences are becoming the norm in Marion and i regret to say that Stewarts has join the mediocre club...biggest waste of 20 dollars ive had in quite awhile. The entire meal was rubbery, im eating rubber wings, rubber fries and rubber onion rings....Thanks Stewarts! Updated 2 years later and gotta say...as you can see from the photo it's even worse now.

For those who don't know, this is an old timey drive in rootbeer restaurant where a carhop comes out to your car after you order your food through a two-way radio at your car. They still bring the little tray that hooks onto your partially open window. The rootbeer is served in icey glasses they put in the freezer and is so delicious! The food is terrific and a VERY good value! I got a foot long coney with everything, fried veggies, and a loaded tater tots which had pulled pork, cheese, and bbq sauce! Of course I always order rootbeer as well. My meal was about $12.00. I would have spent over $20 at any other chain restaurant for the same amount of food (or less). The quality is very high and they do it right. The chicken tenders are actually hot and crispy with just the right amount of breading. The fries and onion rings are hot and crispy as well. Just love it all. My highest recommendation!!

Great place. There's a reason they've been in business 96 years. The staff are all young people working toward college or training beyond high school. Always friendly and efficient. The food comes out hot, and they'll have their strawberry pie available soon. Whether you eat there in your car or take it home, you'll get a great meal at a reasonable price.

Having lived here in Marion my whole life, I am shocked that I haven't been here but maybe once in my life. The staff were beyond phenomenal and helpful. The food is amazing and very well priced for Marion. Will definitely be back. 5 stars.

Extremely rare today (2022) to find old school drive ins. Yes, this is the same Stewart’s you find in bottles, but here it’s served in frosted mugs. Food is good, with breading on things like the tenderloin and pickles just right. If you are in town for an event at the Palace theater or Union Station, it’s worth the short drive.

This place is legit. Great prices and food. Old fashioned root beer in a frosted mug? Who does that anymore? Keto friendly with a double quarter pound cheeseburger that’s not a 1200% markup like most sit down restaurants.

The dine in is just as classic as it namesake root beer. There aren't many left around and this one is a must visit. The food is reasonably priced and good quantity for the money. The fried pickle spears are a cannot miss!!Parking: It is a drive in eatery. classic
