We always have a great time at Moondoggie's!!! We recently rented a canoe for a 4hr trip along Ohio Brush Creek and had a great time. We always see wildlife on our trip but really love seeing the Blue Heron in the area. We seem to always catch one somewhere along our float! You might even see an eagle soaring above!!They have a ton of options for length and location of trips for canoe/kayaks & shuttling (along OBC or the Ohio River). They also offer primitive camping! I believe they even have spots to hook an rv or 2 up while still offering that secluded "in the woods" feeling. Friendly staff and lots of info about the area! Check out the beauty & wonder of the Edge of Appalachia & Adams county while you're there! You'll have a great time!

The place is a hidden gem! The only liveree on brush creek! Highly recommend for camping and all your canoe/kayak adventures. Especially if you like to be in an area less traveled!

Had an awesome time last weekend! Nice quiet stretch of river full of wildlife and beautiful scenery. Even had a bald eagle stay just in front of us for most of the paddle. The couple that own the liveree are great people as well! Highly recommend!

So we didn't know what to expect in Manchester Ohio of all places. But I can tell you the people running this are very cool people. And it's a very cool spot to float. The water is very mellow, great for tubing and yaking. They offer a shuttle service and you're not forced to rent there boats. They will shuttle your boat if you have your own. And if not they have a huge selection of boats to pick from.These are the kind of people that will invite you to stay and hang out and enjoy fellowship. I highly recommend this spot.

A perfect day to try my slowly growing strength and ability kayaking on Ohio Brush Creek (OBC).The water was a little lower than my first trip and the shallows stopped me completely on the rocks. I managed to work my way free only to get a short reprieve until I had to do it again and again on the first 3+ miles.What I wasn't expecting was the last 4 miles. So wonderful. Less hang ups and wider/longer stretches!I met a wonderful family group who were so nice and made certain I had plenty of water! Even the 9 y/o was able to get me through a long patch of shallows! Such a strong and kind young man!!They stayed with me for the next mile or two and I feel they were my guardian angels! I was getting very tired and their help and encouragement was so appreciated!!I learned so much more while taking this mostly solo journey of proper holding of the paddle, getting myself out of the shallows and gained confidence!Ready to take on the river next!!Nikki at MoonDoggie LIVERee told me she traveled the roads along the creek to see if she could find me, worried for me going the 7+ miles, especially alone. Many things could have happened, just regarding my health/strength alone. Very thoughtful!!Thank you Nikki!!!💖Big thank you to the family for all they did to help me!! At the end, I just cried from gratitude for them.💖🚣‍♀️I have found kayaking a great sport that even being overweight and having a lack of muscle strength is something I can (and did) do!!
