Very clean and well stocked hardware store that has everything needed. From paint to outdoor grills, everything is priced fairly. Their chainsaw display corner is excellent, with many associated tools, oil and equipment available. The employees are very helpful as well as very knowledgeable. If you want to see a 5 star business, This is how you build one.

I entered your store today looking for weed killer. I was immediately approached by a smiling young man, named Braden, who asked how he could help. He took me directly to the correct aisle and assisted me in picking the best weed killer for my needs. It is hard to find help in some stores today and I was impressed with this young man. I bought a thermostat today. Thought parts were missing. Called them to complain the person was very polite and offered a refund. Had to call back and apologize because the missing part fell out of the package when I opened it. She was still very polite and understanding.

Sent my daughter to get a 1/2" copper cap for plumbing. The person there handed her a 3/4" BRASS THREADED cap. It even said so on the packaging and when she asked about it they assured her it would work .They clearly didn't have a clue. They must have burned the fries at their previous job.But the cap they sold her was 7 bucks, the one she asked for was 99 cents.WHEN I WENT BACK TO GET THE RIGHT CAP, THEY CHARGED ME DOUBLE THE MARKED PRICE! (marked 99 cent's, it rang up at 1.99.Whoever works at ACE and reads this- don't bother responding with your lame "We want to provide the best service....blah blah blah."Never going back in there.

I cannot give enough credit to Stuart for our 5 star experience. He was kind, helpful, efficient, and ALL over the floor. During our half hour experience he had to of helped over 10 customers while mixing our paint and answering any questions. He had a positive attitude, even though it was clear he was taking on lots of other responsibilities at a time. That man deserves a raise!!!

Wouldn’t let me return a drill because I opened the box. It says on the sign no returns but it is not actually pointed out when purchasing said item. If this is the policy it needs to be spoken by the cashier to the purchaser that they can’t return the item once opened. Horrible policy.

I find myself here often as a small business owner in Construction. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. There isn't a Home Depot or Lowe's very close so Ace is a big help. I feel that the prices are in line with the bigger chain stores.

I was so happy when we got a real hardware store in Madison. We have a lumber yard on Route 20, but now we have hardware store. I have been shopping there since it opened and they have had everything I have gone in to shop for. I have bought several Dewalt products there since. Good selection of everything you would need.

It is nice to have a locally (at least in this region) owned hardware store to frequent in Madison. When I have projects to complete at my business, the thought of stopping the project to drive 15 or 20 minutes away to hopefully find the correct item is not good. Every time I enter the store, I am greeted by the friendly staff. They have a wide assortment of hardware, tools and even homegoods. Sure, their prices are not the same as a discount store, or big box store, but the dollars spent stay in the area, so that makes it all worth it to me.

People are friendly. Low score is because of 1 bad experience. I wanted, and found a small broadcast lawn spreader. Price marked was $34.99. At checkout it rang up $39.99. I questioned cashier who was nice but not knowledgeable. She said it must have been a Ace Rewards price. It did not indicate such on the price sticker which I showed to her. Anyway, I am a Rewards member.. I also had a $5.00 coupon which she used and then said, "there, now it only charged $34.99". Not cool. By this time there was a line behind me. Not wanting to make a scene and continue holding up the other customers, I took my purchase and left. Feels like I got ripped off for $5.00.

Every time I have been to this store ( 5 times in the past month) I have been very impressed with the staff and the physical layout of the store ! I have been GREETED by a positive, knowledgable employee WHO HAVE WALKED ME OVER TO SHOW ME WHERE MY ITEMS WERE LOCATED!! They have been VERY helpful in making decisions about which items would serve my needs best! The store is VERY CLEAN and VERY WELL ORGANIZED and VERY WELL STOCKED! The parking lot is well maintained and very well lit.THE STAFF IS AMAZING!!!! POSITIVE PROFESSIONAL POLITE KNOWEDGABLE AND HELPFUL!!!!!

Over priced on all Traeger grill accessories, price for the cleaner is $18 dollars versus $14 everywhere else, even the pellets are $4 more. First experience, but staff seems pretty useless. Have an online Ace account and they couldn't even look up my account so that I could get the purchase points. I'll be hard pressed to ever go back.
