Great store, great pricing, great people. If it's bait or fishing gear you need George's can help. They also have firearms for sale and even do FFL transfers for a very minimal price. I bought a handgun online and shipped it to George's and I believe it was only $30 for the FFL transfer. If you're into fishing or target practice stop into George's great local shop 👍👍

Over a year late on this review. I was looking for a Five Seven for a over a year. I came across George’s inventory online and I finally found one. It was MSRP too! I skipped work and drove nearly 3 hours just to get that bad boy. I almost had to drive back home because of the background check process time (end of day on a holiday weekend). When I hopped in my car, George told me to come back inside because it had just gotten approved. Definitely one of the best days of my life. Thanks for the great memory. I wish more stores were like this 😄

Absolutely love this place. Great selection at fair prices. I recently got into fishing and don't know a whole lot and George seems more than willing to share his vast fishing knowledge. Won't go anywhere else now that I've found his shop.

I went to a few different fishing shops trying to get help and advice. I an a single mom of a preteen boy who had been asking for a long time to go fishing. I heard him tell his friends he would never be able to fish because he didn't have a dad. I made it my goal to try my best to get him involved. We went to a few places for help, this was the ONLY place that didn't push a sale, but educated my son, told us how, when and where to fish, even help set his pole (which we already owned btw). Spoke very positive and encouraging to my son. Made him believe he could do it! We went today and even though my son only caught a sheep head, he has been bragging for hours feeling like he is an expert. It built his confidence and they gave him that "manly influence he needed...Sincerely I am beyond grateful for this place. George and his employee are amazing!!

Excellent example of what a bait, tackle and gun store can be when the owner and staff really care about the customers and the store itself. Have been going there regularly for last 8 years and have yet to have a bad experience. If you're in the Lorain/Vermillion area and need bait, tackle, snacks or advice on where and what's biting stop at Georges and say hi. You won't be disappointed.
