I go and buy a prepay card using MY money so I could send it to my daughter and I get home and tried to use it after I activated it. So the activation was good and it has the balance I had paid Timothy . We'll go figure it was not letting me use the card for anything. I tried several times but no luck. Do I went back to this store and spoke to the manager Timothy and he says u gotta read fine print we can't return it. Ok so I'm told by the card people to take it back to Timothy and he says gotta read the fine print. Well I take it to another Dollar general and turns out Timothy didn't activate the thing. And he could of activated it when I came in today. Both yesterday and today he didn't even try to activate. Hmm

We are daily customers only because the convenience and proximity of the store. After having to dodge the multitude of pot holes in the parking lot you then must traverse thru the obstacle course of the carts of items needing to be stocked. If you are lucky enough to find what you need on the bare shelves you will encounter rudeness and attitude for disturbing the cashier's. Not to mention the store was remodeled but you would never know with the buildup of dirt.I would recommend driving a few miles away to the dg by save a lot or rockbridge.

I went here this evening 1/23/2022 probably around 7-8 pm and the younger blonde working up front was horrible. As I stood in line waiting for her to ring me up she was steady on her phone typing away. So I used the self checkout. She crouched down behind the self checkout still typing away. There was an older lady behind me waiting and when I was finishing up she decided to help her. As she was ringing that lady up she continued to type away. I get staffing is rough these days but come on. Normally the ladies working are amazing have always helped me or whoever was in there.

Use to go to this one all the time. But, after seeing how gross the women's bathroom was and I don't want to even guess when it was cleaned last..... I haven't been back. The one up in Rockbridge is so much better and much cleaner and you can find stuff there unlike the one in town, usually they are always stocking and you can't get through the aisles because of there boxes and carts.

The baskets...and the carts...I don't think they are sanitizing them between customers and that's worrisome with this pandemic continually getting worse. The store itself isn't terrible but it does feel claustrophobic and cluttered. The self checkout was much appreciated though, this is the first location I have encountered with one.

I love the Dollar store. Aisles are some what full with with items that need put on the shelves but shelves are always stocked. Bathroom for the males needed clean but it's nice they offer public restrooms. Staff is always friendly

One of the biggest retailers in the country, through saturation of the countryside with retail sites. I find that the price for spring water is the lest expensive iI have come across. The clover valley brand of food is good enough for me. All in all I enjoy shopping at Dollar General and it doesn't empty my wallet. They're fairly consistent from store to store and state to state.

Rude staff. I was sent to this store from a different location to get an item that showed 2 on hand. I asked how accurate that count was and the lady said very. So I drove to this location I tried to locate it myself when I couldn't find I asked a staff who rolled her eyes when I asked for help then once I told her I couldn't find it she said that's what we have. I then stated to the staff that I never even told her what specific item I was looking for she then cut me off and told me what they had was out and she walked away.

Everything I needed the store had and the cashier was attentive & pleasant the store seemed a bit over crowded with product I don't know if it's smaller than other dollar general store's or if that made it feel smaller. Fine store with all the product you normally find at DG

Love Dollar General! Can get what you need quick and at a good price.They've really came a long way ,their items *in my opinion* used to look cheap and not attractive but they actually have the cutest home decor items!I always check in every week to see what's new:)-Also if you download the DG digital coupon app you can get some great deals and save some money!

I like this store. There is a good selection of food in the grocery section, at decent prices.The prices have stayed low through the pandemic (unlike several other stores in the area that doubled their prices).

Usually convienent locations. Only real good thing going for the store. The addition of the one dollar section definitely boosts this rating as most everything else is overpriced. Sadly most everything they sell is sold in other locations cheaper.

The clearance sale items outside are marked 75% off are ONLY certain items. When there is no other sign for items on table that are just clearance not 75% off.Its a trick if you dont pay attention only certain items are 75% off . I call it FALSE ADVERTISING !!

Can always find deals here. Good place to stop when you don't want to run in to Walmart. Love shopping their clearance items!

The lady that was in this store cashing me out was very rude disrespectful and not kind there is a gentleman in front of me with another gentleman paying for their things the one gentleman walked out before the other one got done finished paying and she flipped out on him told him that she was going to call the cops on him if he didn't come back in the building it was crazy all because the gentleman wasn't finished paying that came with him

It's cheap so it's nice and all but it's still not the nicest place because it's so cheap. But I would still recommend if you need some cheap daily nessesities.
