I got my good boy Cooper from Outback Valley Acres back in 2016 and he’s about to turn 6 years old in July. He’s such an amazing dog and a wonderful companion. He has a great personality, was easily trainable and has one of the best temperaments you could ask for in a lab. Not to mention his handsome color! I couldn’t have asked for a better dog and I would trust Outback Valley again with my next lab and would recommend them to anyone! I might just be coming back soon to get Cooper a sibling! Thank you again, Outback Valley, for allowing me to have such a loving dog these last 6 years!

Excellent communication from the first conversation. Very knowledgeable on the breed and the pups seems to be very clean and cared for. I was blown away by the detail and care Mark is willing to provide for the length of the puppies life even out of his care. That speaks volumes. We are so excited to have miss Harley as the newest member of our family.

This is a review I have been looking forward to write almost as much as picking up our dream Golden Pup! We live in central NC and have two puppy farms that churn out Goldens within 6 minites of our home. We know too much to ever consider them as a viable choice. We did alot of research and quicky learned to seach for a family breeder that paid attention to the quality lines and reputation. We found that 8 hours away in Outback and Marc. Our dog is sensational to us and to our vet, who is very particular. I recommend Outback as much for Marc's communication style and education when we were searching. He is very good at answering questions, explaining his kennel philosophy and even helped arrange a hotel for us in the age of Covid travels. We could not be happier and more satisfied!Also, I used to work with a Pet Supply Distributor that moved a million pounds per month of IAMS all over the Southeast. The TLC food is a great quality food that we are comfortable using! We recommend it.

IMPRESSIVE. It’s been a little over 5 months and Max, our German Shepard puppy, is just over 6 months old now, born January 11, 2020. I discovered Outback Valley Acres online only by chance. What a discovery!!! I contacted Marc via text inquiring about a German Shepard puppy. Marc responded within just a few minutes. Per our conversation, I forwarded a $100 deposit and received my receipt, photos and appt confirmation quite promptly. Drove to Ohio with the family on a Friday met Marc at his home and was back in Massachusetts late Saturday night with our new gs puppy. When we met Marc he was your typical good, respecting family type guy. Marcs knowledge in breeding is quite impressive. Marc was able to address all our questions/concerns with astute confidence. Marc provides a generic defect warranty, tracking chip (already implanted) and a doggy information/care gift bag. Per Marc’s instruction we had Max checked by our local veterinarian who was very impressed with the Max’ perfect disposition and calm/gentle temperament, giving kudos to the breeder. We then introduced Max to a friend of ours, who just happens to own a K-9 training school owner/instructor. The owner was also very impressed with the disposition/ temperament and obedience of our new puppy (telling my wife and I that we “hit the lottery with this pup”). Well Max is now 6 months old and quite inquisitive. He is very smart, he was quick to learn his designated outside potty areas. He knows all his basic commands; sit, lay down, stay/wait, come and leave it and paw. He plays fetch, while on leash he walks/jogs along side as I ride my bike, he loves going for walks in parks and in the forests. He’s in bed every night between 7-8 pm and up again at approximately 6 am “Nice”!!! THERE IS NO DOUBT that the amazing accomplishments of Max at just 6 months old is attributed to the breeder and his family Corp. Marc and his family do a great job in preparing their puppies to transition to a new family and home with ease. Marc makes to entire process comfortable. Here it is 6 months later, I just sent a text to Marc and as always he promptly responded. Outback Valley Acres- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thank you to the entire Tunno Family. You have to visit their website and read about the ethical & responsible way they care for their dogs & breed. It was a 12 hour (round trip) drive, and worth EVERY minute! We got everything they promised. We have the most attentive, smart, sweet & loveable baby we could EVER ask for. Buck turned 2 years old in December. He is the BEST baby we've ever had. He's been such a blessing. ❤

I thought long and hard before deciding on a 3 star rating (I wish I could put 2.5) for Outback Valley Acres.We received our German Shepherd from them in February of 2015. She is now 8 years old. I have been a dog owner, mostly German Shepherds, for over 35 years. I have owned rescue gsd's, gsd's sired by national champions that cost well over $5,000, and the one that I purchased from OVA. Below, I will list the pros/cons of my experience with OVA and why they received a 3 star rating from us.Pros:+ From the first time with spoke with OVA, we were told that the main factor that they looked for in their breeding was temperament/disposition (above AKC physical attributes). This has been proven to me over the past 8 years. Our OVA GSD has the absolute best temperament of any German Shepherd I have ever owned. She is amazing with children, adults, and other dogs.+ Our OVA GSD is extremely intelligent. As I stated, I have some extremely well-bred working line GSD's with incredible pedigrees, and our OVA GSD is as, if not more, intellingent/trainable than they are/were.+ I truly do not believe that OVA is a puppy mill. While many of their business practices (parents not on site, poor record keeping, etc) may be frowned upon amongst many in the GSD breeding community, I simply believe that OVA has a unique breeding/business model that isn't necessarily aligned with the norm. This, however, by no means, constitutes other reviewers' accusations that they are a "puppy mill."+ Their pricing and purchasing process is extremely fair. They did not do anything that I would constitute as bad business. To the contrary, it was a very pleasant experience purchasing our GSD from them.Cons:- Our OVA GSD does not have breed standard looks. However, as I stated earlier, we were told up-front that temperament/disposition was valued about appearance, therefore, this is not something that I am upset about, however, other buyers should be aware of it. Our OVA GSD has floppy ears. This is by no fault of our own. We treat all of our dogs extremely well with proper nutrition, and each of our GSD's has pet health insurance. This "defect" was monitored professionally throughout our dog's development, and we were told that it was simply that, a genetic defect. Also, our OVA GSD has the body build of an Eastern European Shepherd and not that of a breed-standard German Shepherd.- Our OVA GSD has extremely bad allergies. Luckily, as I said, we have pet insurance. Our OVA GSD has to regularly receive very expensive immunotherapy to treat her allergies. Allergies are a very easy issue to avoid through careful breeding. This was not the case with our OVA GSD.- Our OVA GSD's parents were not on site at any time during the purchasing/visiting process. Also, we were denied the opportunity to meet the parents.- OVA has very bad record keeping. Over the past 8 years, I have tried repeatedly to reach out to them to find out information regarding my GSD's pedigree, lineage, parents, or relatives. Because we love this GSD so much, we would be willing to purchase another one from OVA from her same family tree. Unfortunately, I have been repeatedly told that they no longer have the names of the sire/dame of our GSD and no ability to trace her family lineage to assist in purchasing another GSD from her same genetic line. This raises the question as to where the dog came from and why they have no information in their records of who her parents were. It is a shame that this is the case because this dog has such an amazing temperament that, despite her slight physical issues, I would be willing to pay triple the asking price to purchase one of her relatives.In the end, this is why I give Outback Valley Acres a rating of 2.5 stars out of 5.0 total. As far as the pricing goes, it is extremely fair. The buying process is simple and straightforward. We absolutely love and adore our OVA GSD. We have recommended friends to purchase GSDs from OVA (and they have) based on how much money they were willing to spend on a GSD.

Marc was very knowledgeable and responsive from the beginning. Always got back to us right away about any questions we had. We got the pup and he was very thorough in explaining everything with the contract and warranties. The pup is beautiful. Very alert and playful. Already listening to commands and does not potty in her crate. Also crate trained already. Highly recommend. We love our pup and will purchase from Marc again in the future!

We picked up our pup in May 2020. They are very professional and care about the lifelong health of their dogs. Pup is very well adjusted, smart, trainable and happy. And he loves to fetch!Update March 2022 - We have met with a trainer who LOVES how smart and trainable he is. Also zero anxiety or aggression. He excels in "trick" training and loves to work. He is extraordinary with our baby son. If you want a well adjusted, gentle, smart dog - they breed them.

We recently purchased a beautiful German Shepherd little girl dog from here. She’s gorgeous & very good with my 4 year old boy and Jack Russells. She’s a big baby with the cutest ears and softest coat of fur. Her personality is so much fun. She’s literally the baby of the house right now. They sent her home with a bag of food and a Thank you bag. This place is great. The prices are very reasonable.

We recently got the most adorable little golden retriever from Outback Valley Acres. His fur is so fluffy and he is a cuddler. We are all so in love with him. He was seen by his vet and in good health. She even complemented his temperament. He is calm yet playful. I know there were some concerns on this place being a puppy mill, and I can understand those concerns where the parents weren't on site, among other things, but I don't think that's the case. My puppy is a couple weeks older than I was told according to his paperwork, not a big deal. I recommend!

We purchased a golden retriever puppy from Outback Valley Acres in May. I was a little hesitant because there was no opportunity to meet the puppies before taking one home, but our pup has a great temperament.However, I have tried repeatedly to get the registration numbers of his parents so I could verify their hip/eye/heart certification. When they do decide to respond, they tell me it will be in the mail the next day, but still nothing over 3 months later and they no longer reply to emails. We absolutely love our dog, but the communication with the breeder is significantly lacking.

I have never bought a pet online before I was afraid to but I had just lost a therapy dog. I found their website very professional and straightforward. I put a deposit on a puppy. Within moments I got a reply that they did not have the dog that I was looking for. They offered to refund my money but they also offered me what they available. I chose to take what they have available. When I picked up my my puppy I have nothing but good to say about the professionalism. He tried to have the puppy outside but it was raining earlier. But he had him inside in an air-conditioned office. Everything is straightforward. This is no puppy mill. These people care about their dogs. My puppy was responding to commands within hours. It will take time for my dog to train but I was surprised at how quick my puppy was responding to commands. Very intelligent dog. These people know what they're doing. They have some very good dogs.

We got a female black lab from them in Oct of 2018 and we couldn’t be more pleased with the whole experience. The building that he had her In was very nice and clean. He was very nice and answered all our questions. You could tell he really enjoyed what he does and loved all of those puppies. Molly has been the best dog we could ever ask for. Listens well, easy to train, beautiful, and has the biggest personality of any dog I’ve ever seen. However she was a pretty wild puppy but what lab isn’t? We’re thankful we found such a good breeder. The only thing we wish we could have done was see her parents, but he didn’t have them there. Over all a great breeder and would definitely recommend them to anyone! Will hopefully come back for another lab when the time comes.

I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am with the our German Shepherd puppy we picked up this morning! She is so beautiful and so calm and gentle! My neighbor came over and she said wow you are so luck this puppy is so calm and gentle she said hers were so hyper from the moment she brought them home they are beagles :) ! Mark was so awesome and answered all my questions, Piper always answered my emails, I am so very happy we got our puppy from you. I can definitely tell you guys love your animals. They have an amazing place there! The whole time Mark talked to us he loved on those puppies, I knew this was a loving home this puppy was coming from! I have already taken at least 100 pics lol.. We received a puppy from Marc on 6/2018 and couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience. Marc was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, which completely put our minds at ease. It was abundantly clear when we picked up our puppy that Marc takes extreme care with his puppies and adult dogs. The puppies were treated like they were his own family pets, which we absolutely loved! Marc took great care going over the paperwork for our puppy, and even microchipped our puppy while doing so. Marc was open to any and all questions prior to purchase of our puppy, as well as after taking our puppy home. I absolutely recommend Outback Valley Acres for your next puppy!
