Zoey our Blue Heeler just loves her time at Ivanhoe. We have boarded her and left her for daily social visits with other dogs and she always looks forward to her time there. One of her favorites is the pool and being able to play with other highly active dogs. I would recommend Ivanhoe to anyone looking for a great place for their dog.

We brought our three dogs here while we went to Hawaii for a week to get married. We were very nervous about boarding our dogs for a long period of time. There were other customers in there that reassured us that they loved this kennel and that comforted us a lot. We checked on them a couple times while we were on vacation and the employees said they were doing well and even sent us pictures that we requested and the dogs looked very happy. Once we got home to pick them up is when our concerns raised. The dogs were acting very off, which we attributed to them being off put being in a new place. After being around our dogs we noticed they all looked like they lost weight, their faces looked very stressed, one of our dogs has a huge raw mark on the side of his face that was bleeding, and another one of our dogs eyes were so red and swollen, and they smelt like urine. When we brought them home they slept for 20 hours straight like they were so stressed the entire week they did not get much sleep. It made us feel so awful that we were on vacation having a good time and they were so scared and stressed. Besides my concerns about our dogs, I called the facility the day before dropping off the dogs and asked how much I owed after my deposit and the lady told me $720, when I picked the dogs up they charged me $870. I did not want to argue with the employee about the cost because he was just a kid and I was too worried about my dogs. All in all, I dont know if the issue was my dogs being homebody’s or if they were not getting properly cared for.

We have been using the Ivanhoe kennel for several years. We love the daycare & also overnight stays. The staff knows & loves our dog as if he was their own. He loves the pool & the freedom to play with other dogs his size. For worry free visits I highly recommend using Ivanhoe Kennel.

I have been using Ivanhoe for a few years now when I need to travel for work. My dog, Oliver, loves going! He enjoys the people the socialization with the other dogs and both always treat him very well! I won't use anyone else at this point,. They have won my business and will be Oliver's doggie spa for life.

Ivanhoe is a wonderful facility that our dog Kosmo loves to go to. We use doggy day care and have boarded him there as well. The outdoor spaces and inground pool are awesome and he loves it there. The staff really care and are great with him. It's reassuring that he can go somewhere where we know that he'll be taken care, watched over and have total piece of mind when he is there! This is our forever place- we wont even consider anywhere else. We highly recommend

We have been taking our dog here for the last several years everytime we go out of town! Keely and the rest of staff are always very friendly! Knox always comes home happy and worn out from all the playing he does while he is there! We can enjoy our time away knowing he is in good hands when he stays at Ivanhoe!

Was bringing my puppy to Ivanhoe for doggy daycare and was loving it! The staff was great and my pet peeve was having a ball playing with the other dogs. Peeve has been to different doggy daycares and training classes and has always been a little skittish at first but warms up quickly. She has also always been more nervous around men. I took her in one morning for daycare and the usual staff were not there, Bill was working. Peeve started barking at him as he was a new person. I attempted to explain that she is nervous at first but if I did a hand off with him, she becomes more comfortable. Bill refused and told me that I needed to leave, thinking she would do better if I was gone. I could hear him yelling at her as I walked to my car. I picked her up that afternoon and Bill was still there. He said she would not come inside when called so he had to corner her in order to put a lead on her. He proceeded to tell me that Peeve growled and lunged at him while he had her cornered. He stated that he deemed her high risk of biting someone but due to his high level of experience with dogs, he did not get bit. I cannot believe that someone with such a high experience level would corner a scared animal. Bill yelling at peeve certainly did not help her feel safe and cornering her is just simply not okay. I couldn’t say enough great things about Ivanhoe Kennels until this incident. I think they are wonderful but if you have a skittish dog, I would advise that you make sure Bill isn’t working that day.

Professional, easy to work with, and responsive - what a great partner! Our dog really seems to enjoy the “country feel” of the outdoor areas, and we love that it’s so close to home. Love that the crew carries a great reputation & proven work history in professional dog training and care. We are also happy that there are so many easy-to-schedule amenities with daycare or boarding, right off the website. Early drop-off (730) and late pick-up (6p) is a favorite of ours for daycare on days when we are working away from our home office.It has a cozy, clean, and happy atmosphere which is comforting when leaving our girl there when we are away!

We have been boarding our dog Earl at Ivanhoe for several years now. Once Earl gets an idea where we are headed, he goes crazy! He LOVES going to Ivanhoe and seeing all his friends. The inside/outside facility is great and they have an inground dog pool open in the summer! As Earl's owner, I trust Bill and his staff, who all know and love dogs. They know Earl and his personality, and make both of us feel welcome and comfortable.

We absolutely love Ivanhoe. Our Callie is well taken care of and always exhausted after her visit from playing so hard. The staff does a wonderful job of taking care of her— Callie’s tail starts wagging the moment we turn into Ivanhoe. I’d highly recommend their services to any pet owner!

We boarded our 7 year old Coonhound Mix from 5/29/2021 thru 6/6/2021 at Ivanhoe. This was our first visit here as it was recommended to us by my sister in law. The staff were friendly and respectful with my husband and I and responded quickly to emails as well. With our dog, we brought his bed, a Nylabone and his food from home. When we picked him up, his bed was still intact and not tore up. He seemed happy and seemed to have a good time. The girls there said our dog was no issue, just a "talker" (lol). I seen other reviews stating that their dog smelled of urine or the bed was tore. Our dog just smelled like pond water and had some tried mud on his tummy, but that's most likely due to playing with other dogs, running around and having fun. We don't have much yard/land where we live in Dayton, so our dog was tired when he came home!! Lol. Definitely would recommend & will be back again!! - (So much better than where we have boarded our dog in the past (Pet Suites), where he came home not feeling well after coming home from Pet Suites).

My dog was there for a week. She came back to me smelling and scared. We had to take her to the vet. She got Kennel cough and an ear infection. She also got a hot spot on her neck because after swimming they would put her back in her kennel wet with her wet collar on . The vet bill I had to pay was as much as the boarding. I reached out to the staff by phone to let them know kennel cough was going around there but no one reached back out to me.

Our dog needed to be socialized after all the Covid 19 quarantining / isolation and a friend recommended Ivanhoe. They are wonderful and take excellent care of her. Definitely recommended if you require boarding or just doggie daycare.

We love Ivanhoe! Our dog Baxter has stayed there MANY times and we have never felt that he was not going to get loving care. He gets so excited to go and play and comes home and will sleep for a couple of days.

We have boarded our dog Ruby there for 2 years. We have always received excellent service and Ruby is excited to go each time. We like to also use their grooming service to get Ruby's nails trimmed and give her a bath before she comes home. Never had a complaint with Ivanhoe.

Ivanhoe Kennels is a lovely place to board or groom your pet. Private suites, pool, large exercise area, very clean. You pay for what you get. I guess if you just want to lock your dog up in a fenced kennel it would be cheaper. I don't mind paying for the increased attention and higher treatment for my dog. Owner has a national reputation for raising, training and breeding top shelf English Springer Spaniels. They don't come cheap either. I figure a man who is tops in his field deserves to be paid more than others because again you get what you pay for. Bill Cosgrove in my opinion is a good man who takes great pride in his dogs and his kennel.

My experience with Ivanhoe as a field springer spaniel breeder has been wonderful! It is clear that a lot of care and thought goes into what they do. The facilities are clean, the dogs well trained and happy, and the owner is a very knowledgeable, experienced and responsible breeder. Would definitely recommend!

My pet loves it at Ivanhoe. Crashes the door to get in, and always happy and wore out when I pick him up. I love that they get out to exercise play and have indoor outdoor suites. The owner once told mt that they set it up the way they would want their dogs cared for. The place is spotless and the staff are very good with dogs.

Ivanhoe takes great care of our high energy, German Shepherd, Yogi. We’ve probably been one of their most frequent customers this summer, and we are always happy to take Yogi back. I would also recommend making reservations on the Ivanhoe website... quick and easy responses!

Thought I would share that when I picked up my dog today, she was covered in urine and smelled. She was just at the groomer last week. When I pointed this out to Hailey, the employee, she said my dog was dirty because she is "low to the ground" and that she "played with the other dogs." When I showed her the specific dried urine spots, she admitted that Chloe peed in her kennel and she cleaned up the kennel. 1.) At $30 a day, why is my dog shut up in the kennel for so long that she has to pee on the floor; and 2) At $30 a day, if you are too negligent to take my dog out to pee, then least you could do is clean her up when she is forced to pee on herself! I paid $90 for 46.5 hours there--I definitely did not get what I paid for. When I told Hailey that I would not be kenneling there again, she just shrugged and said "ok". When I asked to speak to the owner, he did not care enough to see me and address the situation. Terrible service and horrendous care of my pet considering the inflated price! Good Luck!

Ivanhoe Country Kennels is a great place for Doggie Daycare and Boarding! The facility is always extremely clean and the staff is very caring and knowledgeable. My beagle mix, Jaxson, loves visiting for Doggie Daycare! As soon as we pull into the driveway he's practically jumping out of the car with excitement. He gets a lot of time outside, especially in the pool yard where he gets to splash around with his new friends! Jaxson is always well taken care of and I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place to board their pet as well as Doggie Daycare. 5 Stars for Ivanhoe Country Kennels!
