Very nice place to camp. Well maintained, great staff and owners. They do an excellent job throughout the summer, keeping things tidy and clean. Just this year, they resealed all the drives in the park. The park is a great place for evening walks/runs, sunset views, wildlife (a bald eagle's nest is visible nearby), pool for swimming, and friendly camping neighbors. This is a family campground, not someplace where people are partying all night (thankfully). We hope to continue for years to come.

Terri was wonderful with helping get us set up for our weekend stay at Fort Firelands. We were there for a fishing trip so we were gone most of the day, but we thoroughly enjoyed our evenings there at the campground. What a friendly group of people, and beautiful water views. The wide roads were easy to navigate with our big 5th wheel. One improvement would be online or electronic payment & booking options.Thank you again and we look forward to future stays.

I grew up here every summer for years. Fort Firelands will always hold a special place in my heart. Although PJ's Steakhouse is gone you can still stop by at the world famous flea market on the weekends! This park has a nice clean pool, a classic playground with metal carousel, and a free mini golf course. Multiple boat docks and many fishing spots on the lake.

If we could rate them a ZERO star we would! Was there for many years. Used to be great! But now… Watched the park decline year after year after year to a now zero. It’s actually very sad too as we used to really care about the place and enjoy it fully. Lots of people did MANY YEARS AGO! But now… Horrible park management but especially ownership. There are zero tenants in front stores. Zero opening of the fort for fun events or seemingly near zero maintenance of it anymore. Near zero lights on in the main parking lot at night. Near zero bolts left in the playground merry go round. Zero good ways to play on the basketball court as concrete so bad and cracked so bad. Zero on electrical safety. (Broken light poles; broken outlets; open wires out at places); zero care by the city about any of this either. Zero boats in the docks. Near zero happy long term truly happy campers. Zero talk about the owners or you’ll get kicked out. Zero maintenance of the docks. Near zero good or safe ways to boat in the water behind the park. About zero dollars put into real park improvements (unless they have to it seems) or beautification. Near zero care by the owners about the park in any positive way anymore. Near zero care about tenants that care about the place. (Or used to anyway.) Zero care about you! But… Hey wait… they do get a FIVE on this: I think now there are nearly… FIVE supports holding up the fort walls to keep them from falling over. Think we’re kidding… book a weekend or a season (if you get approved and boy do we have stories on this!) there for yourself. Number of times you’ll be back: ZERO if you really look around, pay attention and get to meet the owners and ask people how they run and feel about the place. Need photos to prove much of this… we got them! Just ask.

We are completing our 2nd season at Fort Firelands and plan to continue returning. We love the area and everything it has to offer. We also really appreciate that the park is well maintained, has rules to keep it looking nice & is fairly laid back & not noisy. We love spending our summer weekends here!

When called to make reservations the staff was very nice and accommodating. You must know they only take cash or check. The campsites were set up for seasonal campers. Looks as if there were a lot of permanent campers. Our sewer pipe was too far away from gravel drive. The pool was large, deep, and opens at 10am till 10pm. The campers were super friendly. There is no WiFi. The frontier town on their website is closed down. No store.

Don't do it. Terrible management. Don't care about the seasonals at all. No communication. Playground needs updated badly, B-Ball court is crooked cracked cement. Docks aren't able to be used, even if the water was deep enough, they are plain dangerous!! Go somewhere else.

Do not camp here! Dirty bathrooms, empty lots run down and unsafe. Owners are complete A-holes and do not care about the park. They do not put any money back into the campground or do anything for the seasonal camper's! I would not recommend camping here! Pool has broken old chairs, not heated, playground hasn't been updated since the 70s.

We had a hard time finding a tent camping spot and they figured out a location for us. They made the extra effort to help. The service was excellent. The shower house and laundry was very nice and clean. We did not swim but the pool looked very nice. Highly recommend.

I emailed to inquire about a seasonal site, Terri sent me an email back asking me to call. When I called she asked a ton of questions of people I know who have camped their and wanted their names, then the make, model, length and year of my camper. She then asked what I would be doing with the seasonal site. When I told her we would be using it to camp most the summer she said we can't accommodate you we aren't somewhere you live. I never asked to live there just rent a seasonal site and use it in the summer a lot. Don't be fooled by their website stating they are a summer retreat they are not according to Terri. I was so confused on the whole conversation and was not rude at all but for some reason she kept saying little rude jabs about us living their when I never stated I wanted to live there. What do you do at a seasonal site?! You camp and spend a lot of time during the season there! I guess our money is worthless to Fort Fireman's RV Resort. Don't plan on staying long if you do go.

We tried to get into Fort Firelands for two years and it was worth the wait. It's such a beautiful and and well-maintained park. We’re just finishing up our first year and we love it here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We look forward to creating many family memories here.

Don't waste your time or money!! We stayed for a 3-day weekend and ended up cutting the trip short a night just to get out of here. The seasonal site next to us was a complete EYE SORE and the guests insisted on throwing a football 12 inches from the side of our motorhome. They hit the motorhome multiple times causing damage and were crawling underneath it to retrieve the football, even after being asked to stop. While the front office was friendly, it did not make up for the sites being poorly maintained and the rowdy seasonal guests.

If you like drunken all night shenanigans, this is your place! Neighbor guy up til 2 yelling and singing first night, 2nd night until 4am! The teenagers were banging around on the slide and screwing around on the playground in the dark until 11 pm. No one at office, no security after 5, bathroom by the tent camping area horrible...Only saw 1 older gentleman that seemed to work there, driving around in golf cart earlier in the day. Seems like there are absolutely no rules for the permanent campers there,no supervision of the drunk adults or of the adults with their kids. Will never go there or recommend! What a dump! Oh and the restaurant they advertise...that is closed!

Great place to camp! Paved roads, generous sites, pet friendly, awesome pool and super friendly people! Also super close to all things fun in the area!!!Weve been camping at Fort Firelands for at least 25 years and it’s the best campground in the area in our opinion!!

It's okay, but not if you are using tents (hence the title of "RV Park"). Amenities are okay, but tent-goers can expect hordes of mosquitoes, crazy squalls from the lake, and strained family relationships. Still, it's a neat corner of Ohio: God's Greatest State.

Sad that you try to git a seasonal spot but you are told your camper is to old cause it's not 10 year old or newer but an they where just rude on the phone they say yes there is a spot but when u say the year that say no spots

Nice campground. They said they had a heated pool. They fail to mention that it was heated by the sun. No, they don’t have solar heaters. I heard they sold to new owners.

Never knew there was a campground there all my life. Clean, not to old of units, has space for expansion if wanted, not very big. Odd location.
