Switched to Drug Mart from CVS years ago and never looked back.This is a solid drugstore. Never had any errors getting my meds, they get filled on time, they have vaccines when you need them. Retail prices are good, staff are friendly. Pharmacy staff is knowledgeable regarding questions about OTC meds, possible side effects, and similar problems.This location has a free blood pressure reader, which is useful. I've used it to get information for telehealth appointments.ETA: Slight accessibility issue worth mentioning - there's only one "waiting" chair in the back in the pharmacy area, which isn't always enough when it's busy.Some people have trouble standing, particularly if they're lightheaded, fatigued, or have knee/back pain. While a person can bring in a rollator or wheelchair to wait in line at the pharmacy counter (I have), sometimes a person doesn't have one, or doesn't realize they'll need it.If a person is otherwise fairly mobile, but standing is hard on their body, they may want to opt for drive-thru pickup rather than the pharmacy counter indoors.

Christmas Eve you open 8 am no one is here. The lady that walked in the newspaper could have put a note on the door saying closed until or our workers are lazy and refuse to work. I needed a 25 dollar item that only you have and I couldn't grab yesterday because the person it was for wa switch me.

THREE managers were standing around talking while I was looking through the aisles. They never made an attempt to ask if I needed help when I was walking around and were actually in my way at one point. They really need to take a more active role in the store and with training new employees. I've had several transactions in this and neighboring Drug Marts where the employee was at a loss for how to accomplish something that should have been simple, and I do NOT blame the employee one bit.Overall, this is a great store, but management isn't even trying to hide their slacking off.

I’ve tried to give this pharmacy a chance and it’s just been awful every time. Extremely long wait times (I’ve seen people sleeping in the chairs waiting by the pharmacy in store) and they mess our medications up. Please count your pills because they have grossly undercounted ours. My husband had an order of 90 pills per the container and only received 30. I had to call and get it fixed, hard to believe they missed 60 pills, it’s made me suspicious. They not only did this to his but mine as well over 3x in under 4 months. This is why I’ll be switching to a different pharmacy, we just can’t keep having mishaps like that. This is a serious issue and shouldn’t be overlooked.

I've been using this pharmacy for 20+ years and never have an issue. The staff are always polite and helpful. The pharmacists are very knowledgeable and always more than willing to help. More businesses in this town could take a few pointers from this staff

My wife an I received our vaccines at this Drug Mart. After registering they kept us up to date with our appointment. Once they contacted us we went and got both of our vaccines which went very smoothly. The key is they stayed in touch with us and communicated all along they way. Other places went dark and we never heard from them again.

This is the most unorganized, issue prone pharmacy we've ever used. Constantly dropping the ball, don't do their jobs, filling prescriptions at the wrong dosage and then blatantly lying to cover it up once we caught their mistake. (this was a monthly injection so not like we could double on the pill or something to get to the correct dosage) and they wouldn't correct the mistake because they already billed the insurance company for it. Then they lied and blamed the doctors office, saying the doctor wouldn't provide a pre-auth for an extra dose (which we had on a three way call and they didn't know the office manager was also on the call so the doctors office forwarded us all the communications showing the pharmacy was blatantly lying and the doctor did send them a preauth but because they couldn't double dip and get paid for their mistake from the insurance company they chose to lie some more and said "you'll be fine taking a lower dose this month". Our doctor's office even advised filing a complaint with our insurance carrier. Patient care is clearly not at the forefront of their business.They constantly try and fax prescriptions to the doctors office knowing they don't accept faxes because we go through this every couple of months and then when I'm running out of medication and looking for my refills I have to call everyone and figure out what's going on. I'm tired of doing their job and not collecting a check for it. I'm tired of having to be the go between and hold their hand to get a prescription refilled. (But as Martina said it's not her medication it's ours so it's our job to make sure it's correct). Just one time I'd like to be able to get on a schedule with my medication and take it as I'm supposed to but I always end up running out waiting on the pharmacy. I don't understand why this is such an issue.When I try and call early before I run out they say it's too soon to do anything because it's not eligible for a refill yet so we just wait until we run out of medication and then go without for two weeks while we play phone tag and call the doctors office, the pharmacy and the insurance company.We've filed complaints with the state pharmacy board about their actions and every month it's something else with them.Martina is just rude & always has an attitude. She's always the snippy one with attitude. She must be the rude woman at the pharmacy many of these other reviews mention.Do yourself a favor and use a different pharmacy, we're going to.

I've used this Discount Drug Mart as my primary pharmacy since 2007, and I have had consistently solid service. I like the drive up option for dropping off a paper prescription or picking up a filled one. My husband and I have different insurance and for awhile I had a third as a secondary - it is very confusing and my husband struggles to keep things straight. The Kent Discount Drug Mart is the only pharmacy I've used that seemed to have it figured out. This year (Jan. 2013) my prescription card switched to CVS and I've had nothing but headaches. I'm going back to Drug Mart even if my plan makes me pay a penalty.The store is pretty drab, the stock is mediocre but the service is good and reliable.

This is my favorite drug store in the area. They have everything you could need from typical drug store items to hardware stuff to groceries. My boyfriend and I have joke that drugmart probably sells just about any odd item you can think of. The employees are fast, attentive, and nice.I can tell they care a lot about the customer here because the payment pen-pad always asks questions about your visit that you can easily answer as you pay.

I love the store and the staff in the store. I would have loved to stay with the pharmacy but I was treated terrible by the female pharmasict. Jason was always great, what was implied about me goes beyond the pale. I would not recommend this pharmacy if I could give this female pharmasict a 0 🌟 I would.

Discount Drug Mart is one of my favorite one-stop shopping places in Kent. Relaxing music, friendly service, great movie rental options, grocery items if you don't want to go out again afterward. It amazes me that they fit so many different categories of things people might need into such a modestly sized store - light bulbs, birdseed, groceries, movies, cards, school supplies, gardening stuff, etc!

I had a very poor experience with a manager iIbelieve named Rob, I have experience in the topic of discussion and he was not able to provide customer service at all and acted like he was doing me a favor when I knew the situation, disappointed for wasting my time and purchasing the products I did, and as I said something to me he pretended to not really engage me or aknowledge my comment and was looking around as if he was going to find the answer. Unhappy with my experience for sure, had a nice cashier though thank you

Love the variety of products available. Incredibly convenient, typically friendly people who try to help. This store becomes more convenient the more you use it and become aware of the very diverse products offered. A bit like a dollar store but much better in my opinion.
