Great sunset view from the marina. Boats will rock a bit on windy days. Nice restrooms. Very helpful dock staff. Would pass on the restaurant next time due to staff service. Said they couldn't split checks then mixed up credit cards. Food was still good.

I have been staying at this marina at least once a year for the last 4 years. I keep coming back because the staff and facilities are great. Reasonably priced fuel, general store with the basic needs while in port.Whether it is a holiday weekend or a lazy summer afternoon, this place is definitely more than any old port in a storm.

Literally can't say enough good things! Like all places, it's the people (that work here and dock here) that make this place great!! Super helpful, ready to lend a hand or y adapter or whatever is needed to make your stay right these guys are the best... and sunset isn't bad either :)

The best view of lake Erie! Great dock help and accomodating staff. Several restaurants within a block. Modern clean restroom/ showers.

Our first time taking our boat to Kelley's Island could have been an anxious disaster as we lost an engine on the way crossing Lake Erie. We called into the marina explaining our situation and they said the dockmaster would be made aware and will assist. They had 3 people waiting for our arrival and made every accommodation they could to assist us. The same goes for our departure. The current was blowing into the marina, making it more difficult and they were very experienced in maneuvering us via lines and throttling to get us out. In addition to the above, the bathrooms were clean, Dockers restaurant was entertaining and delicious and the marina is located centrally for walking around. We will definitely come back to Portside everytime we visit!

As for the marina, Portside is very nice, can be a little challenging to get in to, but docks are nice, dock hands are great, facilities like restrooms are really nice. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Only issue is they say they offer WiFi but it didn't work the 4 days we were there. My issue is with the people staying there. Because it's close to downtown, it draws the party crowd, so be prepared for loud music, drunk people and vulgar language. If these things describe you, its your kind a place, especially on weekends.

This is the best marina I have ever been to on the islands including put in bay. They have six brand new private bathrooms with a shower for the boaters which are being completed as I write this review. The office has been remodeled and provides more shopping area. Attached to the marina is a restaurant and bar with weekend entertainment.I never have to leave the marina because it has everything with great staff and owners.

Decent transportation, gave us a deal just because, and prorated the time by 15 min increments. Excellent service to tourists and friendly staff. Had a great experience and felt it worth taking the time to write a review.

After coming up to the marina for years today was a sudden change for me. I normally didnt have to pay to dock my jet ski when it was very light in the afternoon. The new slips they have are ok but very hot if you are not wearing sandals. After the dock manager asked how long I would be staying I said maybe 2 hours I'm going to eat at the restaurant next door. I was charged $10 to dock. This seemed different because I knew it was cheaper last year. But nonetheless I ate at dockers and the menu surprised me with prices. Being from Atlanta and seeing high prices in the city I was shocked to see 3 fish tacos for $16.99 mind you they were considered appetizers. I proceeded to have a long board lager and that was later found to be $7 for one beer. I then saw the bruschetta chicken platter was the same price as the tacos and came with 2 sides. I decided to get that as well since I was not full from the tacos as they were only a slice of what appeared to be seasoned white fish and some coleslaw. The bartender was very nice during this whole lunch and stated people could dock for free if they spent $15 at least at the restaurant but I was not given a free docking refund. After closing my tab I then went to get my jet ski off the new slip. Shocking there was nobody to help get the jet ski off as the new docks made it difficult and I struggled getting it off the end of the slip as it dropped off. Needless to say the new owner is going to push away regulars and new people will only go once. I do not recommend this anymore I will now attempt to dock at the casino.

It is true if the winds are out of the southeast it can get a bit rough, but if it is blowing any other direction it is the greatest place to be. Dock hands are the best on Lake Erie. Docker's Restaurant is located right on the water here at the marina and has the best food on the island. Go in for a Lobster Martini or a Little Beer Shot, you won't be disappointed. Live music on Thursdays & Saturdays. Monday thur Thursday they have Dock & Dine, eat at Dockers & spent $15 or more for your group in food and you get 2 FREE hours of docking. If you haven't been there, get there.

Exact what you would except from a marina with small town flair. Helpful, courtious and went out of their way to make you feel at home. From the dock hands to the golf cart rental their attitude was spot on. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Friendly staff but $41 plus tip for a 3hr day dock is absurd. No power or water, just a tie up. We even ate and drank at their restaurant. You're as bad as West Marine.
