The location is perfect. We arrived early to use the pool before the 4 pm check in, to find out we couldn’t use the pool until we checked in. Ridiculous! Ended up the pool and hot tub weren’t clean so we didn’t use them. The hot tub didn’t have jets. Who has a hot tub with no jets! The room was ok, we did kill a couple spiders. We expected better for the price we paid!Would not recommend or stay here again!!Noteworthy details: None!

First time renting. New owners. A little clunky to book but they will work it out. On site staff great. Loved the location and pool. Quite hours at 10 PMNearby activities: This on kelleys Island a little more quite than south bass. Glacier groves are a must see. Good restaurant and a couple of wineries. Not much else

My husband and I stayed at the resort a few weeks ago. Very clean, quiet and a fantastic pool! We called after we were almost back home to ask if they had found a pair of plastic shoe inserts. While no one at that point had found them and turned them in , their staff searched the pool area where I thought they may be. They took the time to look, found them and called us the next day. They were mailed back to me very soon. Will never forget the kindness they showed in going out of their way to find these items!

Thank you KI Venture Resort for a great stay! I strongly recommend this property for families, particularly those whom haven’t stayed overnight on the island yet. The rooms are spacious and clean. The grounds are beautifully maintained and have many amenities including a large kids play set and lakefront deck with charcoal grills and Adirondack chairs. The hotel offers incredible views, particularly from the pool. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. A perfect pandemic safe family vacation! See their website for details.

Nice place. The mattresses could be better. They require guests to wear a paper bracelet the entire stay so that non-guests can't use the pool. That was a bit annoying and my 2 year-old certainly wasn't going to keep his on. No issues though; surprisingly quiet. I would stay here again.

This local establishment was a great choice for our long weekend getaway. The landscaping was beautiful. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. Our kids enjoyed the pool/hot tub. Awesome views of the lake. We would recommend this place to anyone. We stayed in the Iroquois suite which was a 2 floor suite with 3 queen beds..great for our family of 6.

We loved our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean. Nice hot water in the bathroom. Hot tub was open if though it was still chilly and was nice at the end of the day. Staff was super friendly, and the free to use bicycles made for an awesome vacation. Our only issue was it was a bit to easy to hear the loud, drunk party right above us. But even so we would stay there again, no question.

We stayed at Kelly's Island Venture Resort June 29, 30, 2016. While the grounds are beautiful, the pool very clean, and the view of the lake lovely, we feel it was very overpriced, considering the lack of some of the expected amenities for a resort. Price was $285.00 for a Thursday night. The beds have spreads, as opposed to coverings that can be washed for each new guest. The mattresses are okay, but not luxuriously comfortable as you would find in a first class hotel. There is no continental breakfast. We arrived an hour early before check-in and were told one cannot check in early. When we asked if they could find out from housekeeping if our room was perhaps ready, they said don't do that. Suites have a window air conditioning in one room that serves for both rooms. Our suite did have a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, and plenty of room. Shower/tub lacks non-slip footing. If you call a place a "Resort," I expected things like an exercise room, restaurant, and great hospitality. This is a clean motel with a pool and bicycles.

My wife and I were very impressed with everything about the property, the accommodations, and the staff. Everything was impeccably clean and well cared for. What I was really impressed with was the other guests. All were very social and all respected the property and each other. The only thing I would like to see improved would be the lighting in the bedroom. We will definitely return!

Rooms are nice and clean. Service has been good. We are staying 3 nights. Hot tub and pool right out our back door. Everything is beautiful. Wish we had breakfast here. The staff is absolutely on top of making sure everything is clean all of the time!

We have been to Kelley's many times but this was our first time at Venture. It was awesome and we can't wait to come back. We had 5 adults and the Iroquois offered plenty of space with the upstairs loft bedroom. The view from any room is great. The landscaping itself was amazing, you can tell the folks taking care of it have a lot of pride in keeping it beautiful. Free bike rentals, a gorgeous place to hang out across the street to BBQ or just relax by the lake, and a restaurant just next door make this a great choice. We came on a Saturday and left on a Tues, so the weekend was obviously busier and the weekdays you have most of the island to yourself it seems. The staff was very accommodating. They even clean off any mayflies from patios etc each morning! Location is perfect!! I cant say enough great things about staying here:)

I was very disappointed in the "resort". The rooms were okay, but not worth $250 a night. We stayed for a long weekend and our room was never cleaned once. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. We were given clean towels only once. After complaining that our room was never cleaned and our bed was never made they sent someone to our room while we were at dinner. We returned to find the bed was sloppily made and they gave us new shampoo bottles. But the room had not been vacuumed and the bathroom had not been cleaned. It was pretty pathetic. Their cleaning staff was either lazy or truly didn't know how to clean or what they were doing. I would not recommend this place to anyone and reading through the negative reviews below I want you to know they are all pretty accurate. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Our room was spacious and had a full size coffee pot, microwave, and mini fridge, but each of the four lights on the wall (the only lights in the place), were so dim that you could barely see. It's hard to find somebody at the front desk, the office has extremely Limited hours, so good luck if you have a need. It's also hard to get someone to answer the phone! I I felt it was quite overpriced, especially with no continental breakfast. But the grounds are lovely, and while the promised view of the lake was quite minimal, the location is very nice.

Awesome! Checked in and I asked for a corner room, something with a view. The nice desk clerk said they had given me rm. #120 and that it was a good room, so I took it. This room was clean and the layout was great! Sitting room with lg. flat screen tv, bedroom and the bathroom was between them. The sitting room had windows facing Lake Erie on one side and windows facing the beautifully landscaped inner courtyard. Definitely would recommend!

Immaculate and comfortable the grounds gorgeous and manicured. My suite had the best view of the lake and pool with an extra window for that wonderful lake breeze. The staff friendly and accommodating. Will be back I highly recommend the hotel for both young and elderly.

It's about a quarter mile from the ferry, so we needed our car. They opened the restaurant up next door a week early for a memorial for our family, very nice people. The hotel is beautiful, and clean. We stayed in the three bedroom suite which is perfect for families or groups, has an awesome hangout space in the room. Really like this place.

Nice hotel with beautiful gardens and nice view of lake Erie. No breakfast is provided however there are plenty of options on the island. Maid service can be a bit unreliable as we told them to come later after they stopped by but we weren't ready to leave the room yet. When we came back the room was not cleaned up. Wasn't a huge deal but still a pain.

What an awesome resort! The staff was over the top helpful and friendly! Our room was very clean, well stocked and modern! The pool and hottub area were inviting and clean. This is the place to stay if you want an awesome experience! P.S. they even have dogs for you to pet! Yay!

Always a lovely visit. I felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. The resort's COVID 19 safety procedures were impeccable. I did notice that the staff failed to enforce its pool policy of requiring that chairs remain in place. I'd also suggest that guests bring your own pillows and a bottle of laundry sanitizer to be on the safe side. I was not sure about how or whether the resort's were sanitized.

When they say you cannot check in until 3pm they mean it, but we were able to get bracelets that allowed us to use the pool before check in. Keep track of this bracelet because you need to return it at the end of your stay or they will charge you $35. The rooms are great and have towels to use at the pool. Each room comes with a "balcony" but they are actually a common open hall leading to each room. They have bikes that can be borrowed free of charge at the front desk. The courtyard with pool is almost a butterfly sanctuary, very well maintained.

Great location. 10 minute walk from the good restaurants. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had a great view. We enjoyed the amenities especially the wi fi, coffee maker and the convenient to operate heater. The staff is prompt at cleaning & the owners are very helpful.

We paid $566 for a two night stay in what was called a suite. There was no elevator and no luggage cart. There was no exercise room, no breakfast. Lighting was very poor and no towel bar by the sink. There was a fridge and microwave, but no table and chairs if we wanted to sit and eat a lunch or breakfast. There was no one in the office after 6. The staff was helpful and friendly and the grounds are beautiful, but don't waste your $.

I had left a message a couple of days ago and someone by the name of Sarah I believe (honestly I don't really care what her name was) was really rude to me and I was taken back by it. I said, " oh hi thank you so much for calling me back. She says, What did you need". Really that's how you talk to someone who may be a potential paying customer? I told her that my sister was getting married in July and was wanting to stay on Kelly's Island for her bachelorette party. Before I could say anything else she says, "I'm going to stop you right there" (wow) We don't allow bachelorette parties to stay here. This is a family oriented place it's listed on our website". I said oh okay well I didn't look on your website, that's why I'm calling you because I had a few questions first before I booked rooms and we're not l that type of bachelorette party and there are not really any other options to stay at on Kelly's Island for one night. We just wanted something for one night." I mean really there was no reason for her to be rude and demeaning towards me all because I asked a question regarding a bachelorette party. It was truly unnecessary and she could have spoken to me in a better manner and handled it more professionally. This was a turn off and I don't believe I want to ever stay there at all.

For the $ you would think the rooms would be in better shape, i.e. mold in the bathroom, old razors left, etc. You are charged if you want a late check-out (12 instead of 11), and there is no way you can check in 5 min before 3pm. But it's the only hotel on the island, so not many choices. But rooms are spacious.

A nice place, friendly people. No one in office after 8 pm, way too easy to hear party happening upstairs and no way to get them to calm down. Very clean and comfortable otherwise. In a nice location. Free bike rental was great!

non-smokers beware! My wife and I were charged $576. When we got there we were very concerned when we saw ashtrays outside of every room. Clearly people have been smoking in or literally just outside these rooms for years and they spray heavy cover up chemicals which gave me a scratchy throat after a few minutes. We tried to tough it out, but the chemicals/years of smoking in that room, was giving my wife quite a headache. We made several attempts to talk to the personnel there, but they would not offer us any kind of refund and they couldn't move us to another room. We had to just leave, and eat the $576 charge. if you are a smoker you will love this place, but if you can't stand cigarette smoke and don't care to repeatedly hear the word "unfortunately," then avoid this place.
