The food was okay considering we got sandwiches which was about all they offer on a Sunday afternoon. It came with chips not french fries. Still a good sandwich. Yesterday we were here for the entertainment which was excellent. They had a guitar player and singer who was excellent and did a really good guitar solo. He sang some really great songs and was entertaining as well. He had been here for many years and knew a lot of the folks stopping by. It was my first time, and it won't be the last. Saturday this place was packed and as you can see the view is very good.

Atmosphere is nice. They were short staffed so service took a little longer, but completely understandable.I love that they give you chips and french dip with the sandwiches. I got the ultimate ribeye and was okay, the bistro sauce it comes with is a horseradish base.Kid-friendliness: The kids meals do not include a drink. When we went they did not have a kids menu printed out. My daughter got Mac and cheese. The waiter said the kids meals range from $6-12, the Mac and cheese was $6 and did not come with a side.

Graat place to pull up by boat or the road. River is quick to help secure your boat and does it with a smile! The entire bar and wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was surprisingly good, I was expecting "tourist" food and got so much more. The menu has many gluten free options,which is very appreciated. The shrimp and scallops meal (gf) was amazing, the scallops were BIG and cooked perfectly. The chicken brushetta meal (gf) was juicy and full of flavor. The fish tacos were very fresh with large pieces of fish and great for a quick meal. The shrimp Cajun pasta was also a hit with our group, a large serving of pasta and I think 6 large shrimp. All of the meals were very generous portions.

The atmosphere was causal, cool and the food was fantastic! My only issue was the waiter was running after every table, didn't appear to have help, which made his life harder. He was definitely trying to keep up!

The experience might have been better if there was a table available not by the bar. We were recommended this place over other places to eat since we have kids but the only available tables were around the bar. It was loud, people were smoking cigarettes, and it kind of ruined the experience. The food was decent and the staff was super helpful and kind.

Food is very good. I had the Cajun pasta with chicken and it was fantastic. The view of the marina is also very good. The reason I listed as a 3 star is they constantly tell people an hour for food. It’s one thing to have a bad staffing day but this is a consistent issue on multiple visits to this place. management needs to address this issue because an hour + wait time for food is too much.

This is a good place to have a drink, enjoy good food while watching the marina and the lake. It is an outdoor bar/restaurant with a festive atmosphere. The chicken salad is good, mussels are delicious. Service is prompt and friendly

Full disclosure: This is a follow-up to the review by Alexis L. listed below about an experience we had when dining here on September 1st, 2023.After arriving at Kelleys Island for our week long vacation, our party decided to grab a late lunch from Dockers. An adult member of our party is rather particular with her food, and often orders off the kids menu because those foods are relatively simple and appeal to her particular appetite. While ordering our food, our party member inquired about ordering a grilled cheese sandwich off the kids menu. However, our waitress did state specifically that adults were not generally allowed to order off the kids menu. Our party member stated that she had done it before (I'm unable to corroborate this claim, just stating what was said for full transparency) and the waitress was pleasant and stated again that while it isn't usually allowed, she would see what could be done. All other orders were placed off the menu without issue.When the food arrived, a different member of the wait staff brought out our food and told the adult guest of our party who had requested to order an item off the kids menu that this wasn't allowed per the restaurants policy however the grilled cheese was prepared and brought out as a one time courtesy. It was also stated by the waitress (with some condescension) that it would be appreciated if we respected the rules of the restaurant, and that if nothing could be found on the menu that we were more than welcome to visit any other establishment on the Island.Ultimately, I agree with the establishment to not allow adults to order off the kids menu - after all, it's their establishment and they can run it how they see fit. However, what I don't agree with is the attitude with which we were told, essentially, to go "anywhere else but here". As regular visitors to the island, this made us feel especially unwelcome here and cast a sour note to the remainder of our meal.Now, compare the events stated above from the establishments response to our Adult party member's comment (which I will admit, was written somewhat unprofessionally):---------------------------------------------------------------------------Dockers has an unpublished kids menu with discounted food as a courtesy to our customers with large families and small children. Most are grateful for this option and some are disappointed, but the rules are clearly laid out for our staff that, kids menu items are for kids only. Our staff can't simply change the price of a menu item at will or the rules we set before them. To treat the staff the way you did when they were just trying to do their job is the definition of "Rude." At the end of the day you were given your kids meal and politely told that this was a one time allowance.There are many other fine establishments on Kelleys Island with a wide variety of offerings. Our menu is posted at our entrance, if you did not see something that interested you, we politely request that you move along instead of demanding our staff to meet your wants.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------To address a few things here:1.) I would suggest to use this as a training opportunity for future employees to simply say "No" to adult requests to order off the kids menu - and not to even entertain the request. If we were told "No" (which we weren't - our waitress stated she would see what she could do) this would have left us in a much better opinion overall of the experience2.) To be clear, the statement "To treat the staff the way you did when they were just trying to do their job is the definition of "Rude." - Our party was anything but rude to any of the wait staff. Our party member simply requested a menu item off the menu, and did not make a particular fuss about it. However, the review that was left was rather impolite, I do agree.Overall - the food is good here, and I would visit again - but some practice in professional communication and intonation can go a long way.

I love this place.The view is incredible.The bartenders are wonderful.Kayla is an amazing sweetheart. Always smiling and can’t do enough to make you happy. I love it when she’s behind the bar!Sam is so friendly and ready to please. Had lunch at Dockers, ordered a caeser salad and the lettuce was rotten. The manager of the restaurant would only comp 30% of my meal even though I couldn't finish eating my salad due to how gross it was. Never coming back to this place.Jayden our waitress was so nice that was the only good part of our experience.

The crab cake was really good. The fish tacos were atrocious (they should be taken off the menu). Service was ok. They didn't have local fish. There is another restaurant nearby that serves Lake Erie fish.The restaurant has a nice view. The food is hit or miss from my experience. Good place to get a drink and enjoy the view. Not sure I'll go back for food.

Had so much fun at Dockers, the bartender Kayla always makes it a good time! She introduced me to new drinks that I wouldn't have tried before. She jokes around and keeps it lively, I am a fan. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and friendly. So I will always keep coming back!

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a rude bartender who made it very clear she wished we weren’t there. When we eventually got the food (1 hour wait for appetizers then another hour before our food came), it was good, but not worth the price or the time we lost out of our vacation. Would not recommend unless you have 2.5 hours to spend at lunch.

The food is great and cooked by a chef. Nothing on the menu is deep fried. The portions are big enough for two meals. I always have to take some leftovers back to the boat. This is outside eating on the lake and the view is spectacular...a must see if in the area. Love this place, staff and the owners.

Dinners especially steaks were perfect.Great waitress Roz!!Breakfast, not so much.Waiter was rude at breakfast. Had no personality.Would give them one more chance at breakfast.
