My daughter purchased 8 piece bag he'd chicken by home chef yesterday morning. The chicken is still bloody in the inside. This store won't even try to keep customers. They close their doors at 10 pm! I am by few days so to get prescription It was six or 6:30 in the evening The pharmacy was already closed we are no longer in a pandemic why can't this store get its act together we don't have a choice in this town and those of us that don't have a car can't go anywhere else but I sure don't want to stop to go to the store anymore especially after that bloody chicken very very dissatisfied with this Kroger's they do not put their customers first ever I've been turned away more than once at 9:30 at night why does this town let them do this to us. They a horrible store that be the only one in your town unfortunately I can't go anywhere else or I definitely would I despise the store

I was in krogers today to make a purchase. The tag said it was 7.99 5.99with digital coupon. The item came up full price. I asked the lady about it. She said there was nothing she could do. She said take a picture of the tag with my phone. I went and pulled the tag off the shelf. The whole tag didn’t come off. Still nothing she would do. I understand not getting the digital price. I don’t have your app don’t want it. But I should have at least gotten the 7.99 price. Sad thing is I have been shopping at krogers since 2000. Zero help. I did not purchase anything at your store. I don’t think I will be going back there. So now I will be driving 14 miles past your store to go to giant eagle.

I have to give a 3 for now. Because…every time I place an order for pickup now I get a call from Johnstown click list department saying they won’t have my order ready. I do not live close by and I plan my entire day around that time slot that I chose. If they can’t have it ready, they should block out those earlier time slots. My order is always accurate and always friendly staff .. I am just very disappointed in the execution of picking up my orders on time.

No checkout lanes open. Uscan had a line of 6 deep. Had weeks+ groceries overflowing in cart. Second time in a month this has happened.

No issues the few times I’ve been here. Everything I’ve needed has been fully stocked. They could use a few more self checkouts maybe. The self checkout cashier was very friendly and answered a question I had about the sale items. Will definitely keep coming back. 5/5.

The store is very clean compared to many other Krogers. It also has a nice variety in selections. The problem is the way staff treat others. More than once I have asked a lady named Connie where things are. She has been rude and aggressive in her answers. One time she ignored me completely.I have also known staff who left due to infighting. It is a shame - it's such a beautiful store.

You can see in the photo that I have a large bunion on my right foot, but these shoes allow for my bunion to protrude so they are very comfortable to wear all day. The shoes look a little dirty because I never want to take them off! Please start making dress shoes, Orthofeet - I will buy them!

The decision to start a paving project at the front door at opening time was not a good idea. It is darker out and the potential for trips/falls is greatly increased. Perhaps later in the morning and/or prior to opening would have been a better idea for the front of the store. Inconvenience aside the potential risk of injury to employee and customer seemed to have been an oversight.

Only downfall of Krogers is having to download all the digital coupons to get the posted sale prices, and then sometimes being limited in quantities you can get with those. This store was well stocked, with friendly staff, clean too. I was in and out with what I needed quickly!

This Kroger location gets worse with each visit. I try my hardest to avoid it but often times think that my experience can't get worse, until it does (regularly).

Krogers need to do better with the registers by charging the correct prices not the cashier but the prices and not make it so hard to get the sale prices where you have to scan the bar codes to get the deals if you have a kroger card the workers are good but they need to hire more people it's a great store and the only one we have to shop at

This Kroger is terrible, but it’s the only option in town. Normally they have only one checkout lane open. Try and do pickup and they call you saying they don’t have staff and won’t be able to fulfill your order. Drive to New Albany, and go somewhere else; this place is a joke.

I have used this grocery store regularly since 2019 when I moved to the area. The people that work there are wonderful. Customer service has never been an issue. I am giving a lower score because things are always out of stock and shelves are bare. I initially thought it was Covid related, but now I just think it is poor management of inventory. My dad, who is a retired dairy manager of 30+ years at Giant Eagle, says there is no excuse for all the bare shelves. Inventory management just needs to be better. This makes it hard because there are no other commercial grocery stores in my town. I have to spend my one day off driving out of my town for groceries. I'm just frustrated. And the produce I needed today looked rotten so I just left my cart and walked out. Guess I am going to New Albany.

My family shops at this Krogers weekly and we usually have a good experience. My wife and I were there today and we were trying to use a digital gift card from pampers. The lady that is incharge of the front end refused to take it, saying that "Krogers doesn't accept them". She was also very rude to me and my wife and refused to let us speak and explain that it wasn't a coupon, it is an eft and needs to ran as such. The lady that was running the front end refused to listen, and we were unable to use our gift card. After we left i called Krogers customer service, since we have used these gift cards there before and wanted to confirm what we were being told. While speaking with Krogers customer service, they confiremed that Krogers does accept these gift cards. The lady who was incharge of the front end, I did not catch her name, but she is an older lady, short in statue and has long black hair.

Decided I would be patient.Brendan is the sweetest person keep him! He is so awesome and I’m so happy he is your replacement to the rude girl with the choppy hair.Prices are still crazy at this Kroger and I constantly get fruit that isn’t fresh on my pick ups. So I stopped getting certain items I also switched my pharmacy.Since these changes this store is more tolerable.

Just had some great help with a gift card from Cathy. She was persistent and gracious with resolving my issue. She even stayed after her shift time (as evidenced by her car pool companion who came in to pick her up) to complete the necessary process with corporate on the phone. We resolved it completely and I’m grateful because the Newark store would not help with this issue.

I was not feeling well and Justin who worked at the self check out today was kind enough to hold my car and let me sit down. I watched him as he helped other customers and he is amazing. When I was ready to Chek out he asked if I was okay and offered to have someone carry my bags out. He is definitely a keeper.

I typically only use the Kroger to stop by and grab some thing last minute. I typically have reasonable customer service. Today I used Clicklist at this location and had a horrible experience. Waited over 20 minutes for the clerk to come out. When I arrived home, many of my items were incorrect and did not receive any notification of items being out of stock until my order was ready. At that time I declined the substitutes, but found them in my order anyways.

Store is always out of stock when I can go to the new Albany store and get it. Never enough registers open which causes long lines. Perhaps if you paid people a decent wage, people would come in to work. Wish a meijer would open

Nice hometown grocery. Great organic selection. Great sale prices. Clean. Good service. That was 4 years ago. Today I dread going here. Last two times picked through moldy fruit and yogurt over a month expired. Does anyone care at this store? Pharmacy people talk about other customers in front of customers, roll their eyes, and why for the love of God can they not sync my prescriptions after 10 months? At night workers stand around and deli closes at 6pm? Not sure if any management is there since you don’t see them. The only reason I gave it two stars is location. Please bring some management in here that cares and clean this store up!

This Kroger, over the years, is the worst Kroger I have shopped consistently at. It wasn’t until the store management changed that my opinion of this Kroger became what it is. I spend around 1,000.00 a month in groceries and refuse to shop at This location now. The organic selection has continually shrunk under this new management, starting a couple years ago. If you shop mostly for non organic, junk food and soda pop, then this is the Kroger for you. I drive to Sunbury now for my groceries to get healthier selections, that this location used to have. And the bathroom are as bad as the worst truck stops… again consistently.

Stopped by the Johnstown Kroger while passing through town on December 27th, 2022. My oldest son (over 21) decided to buy beer while I was checking out with my wife in another checkout line. A cashier with a partially shaved head of purple hair, Nicole decided to card my son as well as my youngest son (age 19) who was just standing around waiting on him. She and another cashier, Justin (who I can only assume was about 18 years old) decided that my oldest son was up to some illegal activities (even after checking his ID) and went off on him like he was stealing her favorite hair dye. She refused to sell the alcohol and said he was “guilty by association” because she, what I can only assume decided he was buying alcohol for his brother? While my wife and I were checking out, also buying beer of a different brand along with a pack of cigarettes, decided that she was going to start screaming in the store at both my wife, myself and my cashier to not let me purchase alcohol or cigarettes and said we were “guilty by association” too. While she stormed and screamed over to my checkout lane with her young lad Justin in tow, she informed us that we had to return the alcohol and cigarettes that were seconds away from being paid for. The lovely purple haired Nicole decided to scream at us that “we were part of the problem” and we could shop somewhere else if we didn’t like her decision that we were “guilty by association” of our 22 year old son purchasing beer. In the mean time, her trusty “Karen” in training, Justin informed us that we were once again “guilty by association”…. After a couple more go arounds of trying to figure out what happened, the boisterous Nicole told us that if we had a problem that she could call the police for us and that we were not allowed back in the store that evening as her young Justin continued to run his mouth and talk down to my wife.Eventually, the evening assistant manager came over after he was requested by wife and the situation was explained. He apologized for the scene that the purple headed lady and her fierce young groupie had caused and that they would be spoken with. He did explain that the purple haired dragon also known as Nicole and her trusty sidekick Justin believed we were going to give alcohol to MY underage son who was currently with me? Reluctantly, after everything was said and done, I did purchase the items I initially needed, minus the beer and cigarettes. However, the customer service shown by Nicole and Justin have completely tarnished the way I have viewed this store. Fortunately, I was able to go to one of the many gas stations in Johnstown and purchase the beer that I was looking for. I honestly hope all the managers at this store read this review (and watch the security video) as well as maybe a few individuals at Kroger's Corp. office and realize that they have some training that needs to be done on customer service with a couple of their evening cashiers.

I worked here for around nine or ten months. I had just turned sixteen and it was only my second job. I loved it for a very long time, kind management and I loved the folks I worked with. However the last April I worked there I was in a terrible car accident and suffered a bad injury. I was unable to continue my job duties for a while and once I returned I was treated by my supervisors as a lesser being. The day before I quit I was out on a cart shift and this day was unbelievably hot almost 90 degrees I believe. I was doing my normal hour of pushing in carts, struggling with my ribs when I noticed a member of the upfront customer service team in her car. I waved as I assumed she was leaving and went back to work. Keep in min I am still in a lot of pain, the heat was intense, and I was still only sixteen so laws about working for minors still applied. I was eventually approached by the same woman and a man, both who work at the customer service desk and I was informed that I was doing and I quote "A god awful job with carts" and that I would be out there for three more hours with no break. I tried to explain that it was hard for me to breathe because of my injury and I was over heated yet they didn't care. I was forced to work out there for the rest of my shift in which I got no break. After I left, I returned to fix my tax information and I was blatantly disrespected and guided in the wrong direction by the same woman who approached me during that cart shift. It turns out that she had the authority to sign what was needed yet did not want to assist me. I love the store itself but I cannot recommend you work here, they are so unkind if you cause them some sort of inconvenience. The same woman still treats me with disrespect to this day and I am glad I do not shop here any longer.

I love shopping at this Kroger store in Johnstown. It is very clean and organized. The isles are not packed with boxes and containers. I wish more Kroger stores had employees that cared about where the work like this one. Great job keep it up.

This is the best Kroger in the area, I use to shop at New Albany store on Hempstead but this one is newer, larger, bigger isles and friendly cashiers, especially the women who have been there forever! The kids who work there are really great too. The store always looks well tended, I don't know how they take such pride but they do. The floral shop has beautiful choices, the florist is always there to help. They finally have the dairy department so the milk is not almost expired which it was for a long time... to me one of the best features is the meat department - the men who work there are so friendly! It makes you think of the old days. Sometimes they even cook beautiful little meat or seafood trays to share with customers and make an announcement for Kroger guests to check it out. There are always fair prices and even nicely clearanced items.I had one bad experience one evening when the young male "manager" was in charge, the clerks were all on break or went home or something and there were lines. I was shocked and went to tell the "manager" that he was doing a terrible job BC I never saw the store like this before. But he did listen respectfully and next time I was there he ran over to check me out himself and got a staff to carry my things out. I felt stupid for getting after him before but I think he's doing a good job now. It's a great store - I tell everyone how much better I like it. Thank you!

I love Kroger, but this store is the worst. They keep making changes that make the experience horrible. Long aisles, food in places that don’t make sense, and they replaced the self checkout system with one that feels and looks like a downgrade. Instead of having the awesome top shelf on the checkout for when you bring your own bags or have big items, they force you to use the new one which has just the four small grocery bag wheel. Good luck fitting groceries on that thing. This store is ran by an incompetent owner and I’d rather drive 10 extra minutes to Sunbury Kroger.
