My review is definitely overdue. They are absolutely the best! I was very worried about boarding my really old dog (about 16 yr old) because as far as I knew he had never been boarded. He was about 10yrs old when I got him. He has an enlarged heart, heart disease and not the greatest in health anymore.I was going out of town, only 4 hours away but far enough that I couldn't just take off and pick him up. The owner and all of the staff made me feel so comfortable leaving him there. They sent me updates and pictures. I felt like they really cared about my dog and cared how I was feeling as I was away for the few days. It set my mind at ease and touched my heart.The groomers did a great job too. Overall I don't think I would ever take my dog to another facility. He seemed so excited to go back when I had to board him again.I do what I can to support small businesses and Authority Pet is definitely recommended. Please support this local business

I'm not one to flame a business on a review - but I feel like I need to write this. We took our long haired Pyrenees/Doodle to get a haircut. Left them clear instructions of 'not too short' / 'leave this part longer' / etc. The woman we gave him to never made eye contact. She just took him and said, "well - the guy that's grooming him isn't in yet - we'll let you know".We got him back shaved to the skin. Hair is only about 1/2 long, max. Again, the guy that gave him back wouldn't make eye contact and barely said two words. Only that he 'had to' because of matted hair. (He was NOT matted - it was just long) He's been shivering, laying around depressed, and simply not himself ever since. Poor guy has come out of haircuts at other groomers all proud and happy and joyful, but now he's shying away from us and shaking. It's been four days - and we've been trying to smother him with love - but he's just sad.I'm not sure what went on while he was there - but he is the sweetest, kindest, gentlest dog... and now he's shivering and depressed.Beware.

Oh my goodness...my dog looks so great smells good. He also had this cute scarf on. He got trimmed just in time for this hot weather...thank you so much...sorry he scratched you and drew blood 😪😭....but you did a great job!!!! Thank you!!!

I had a wonderful experience at Authority Pet Resort and Spa! To explain why had such a good experience, I need to tell you about my previous experience at a different groomer...I took my dog to Soggy Paws a few times, and I was not satisfied at all with their service. They claimed my dog was aggressive and made him wear a muzzle the whole day while he was there, because they said they couldn't get him out of the crate, that he tried to bite him any time they got close during his first visit. On top of this, he'd begin to smell terrible after just a few days, and his nails would still be way too long. You couldn't even tell he'd been groomed!He didn't go to a groomer for over a year because of our terrible experience, but Christmas was fast approaching and I didn't have time to bathe him. I saw an ad for Authority on Facebook, and decided to chance it.I took him in wearing his muzzle, and explained everything the last groomer told me, and told them I just needed a bath and his nails trimmed, if they could get other things done, great, if not, I understood.When I arrived a few hours later to pick my dog up, his muzzle was hanging on the leash rack. Puzzled, I asked how everything went. They said it was great, he didn't need the muzzle, and when he came out he looked so handsome!!! They bathed him, trimmed his nails, and trimmed his face and butt fur.It's been about a month, and he still doesn't smell bad! I don't know what magic they used, but this dog ALWAYS smells bad. I'll be making another appointment in the next few days, because I have been blown away by their professionalism and ability to care for my dog.

We just picked up our old, over weight dog that was groomed. I was so happy with how great they did grooming her! I am sure it was not easy. They took their time and gave her lots of breaks because she could not stand for along time. She looks the best she has in years! I took her to bath and biscuit in Granville and they could not get her all the way groomed! Thank you so much to Connor and his other groomer. They are fantastic!! I am highly recommending them to everyone! Thank you so much!❤️

Can’t say enough great things about the care and service Authority Pet Resort provides my large (107 pounds) golden retriever, Kallie. Kallie is routinely a “disaster” when we take her in to get groomed. We can’t keep her out of the pool, the pond, the mulch, the woods, you name it! She is a regular pigpen!Our groomers are always very patient and thorough with her baths and grooming. Today, they bathed her FOUR times before her trim and clean up and they didn’t charge ANY extra!!! She was there around 5 hours. Authority ALWAYS goes above and beyond for our furry friend!

I had my sheltie groomed at Authority Pet Spa and gave specific instructions to not trim the coat on her. So when I went to pick up my dogs they had shaved are coat (a terrible job at that). I was totally speechless when I saw her. The only comment I got was we will let him know about that. I wish I hadn’t paid before I saw her. I definitely wouldn’t have left a tip. This is the last time they will ever get any business from me and I will let others know to be careful. I guess I figured you were a grooming place that you knew how to do all types of dogs or at least listen to what the owner wants. VERY FRUSTRATED!! 😡😡😡😡😡

This a great place to bring your pets. Conner is a friendly young man, and was great with my beagles. Who normally won't let anyone trim there nails. He had them in and out in 10 mins with no issues. I highly recommend his shop.

We took our two JRT’s in to have their nails cut. They did an excellent job. I was worried about my 12 yo being in a new place, but they were very confident with him and he did amazing.

If you are thinking of a great place to take your dog for any kind of service Authority Pet Resort and Spa is hands down amazing! I had the opportunity to have 2 of my Yorkies groomed and it was amazing! They loved it and I loved it!I would recommend this place to everyone! Hands down!They are also super nice and friendly!

Took my Elkhound here yesterday and they did a fantastic job grooming him. Blowout was excellent (he has a lot ofundercoat) and nails looked great. I highly recommend!

I was happy when the owner was grooming our Cotons, but once he let the other groom, they chose to just shave the pups. My pup was cut and nothing was said. Done with this groomer.
