So a week ago I bought a 30 dollar gift card to buy things online. I called the Visa card company to activate and make sure it had money on it. They said they couldn't replace the card and that I should just type In the number to verify the card. I already did that and was trying to explain to the representative that I already tried to verify but the card had no money and wasn't registered. With every question I asked the representative, he kept repeating "just verify your card online" which I've already done with no help. I then went to the dollar store to get money back and they said "just call card number. We can't do anything" which I understand but the number I called didn't do anything. 30 dollars lost. I'm kind of frustrated. Not mad at dollar general. I think there's an issue with card activation.

The employees are very sweet and kind. I would have given 5 stars if the place was better organized and if it was easier to access products when the truck comes in. The store lines up the isles with boxes of items that needs to be put on the shelves. Which obstructs visibility of item's that may need to be purchased by myself or others.

I was totally impressed with the Dollar General in Bloomingburg, Ohio. The store was very clean and the staff was courteous and friendly. I was amazed with the variety of merchandise that they offered. I will visit them again soon. I'm going to go all out and say that this is the nicest Dollar General that I have ever shopped at. ( And I have shopped a many)!

Good little place to stop in to pick up little things like certain household supplies or certain snack foods. Good for art supplies and things that you have to have and don't want to run to Walmart for. Store is usually neat and organized. Cashiers are slow, there's usually only one of them up there.

I found what I went to buy eventually after I dodged all the stuff in the aisles that needed put away. It isn't the employees fault who you see workings fault. The company only puts one person working at all times. So you have to stock shelves run register and so on.

This Dollar general in Jamestown is the worst. No one is ever working, and they're rude to the customers. I called once to see if they had a product, that I knew they had in stock, just wanted to see if she would check, she told me straight away they didn't carry it, even though I was calling from that store, in the isle as the product, she didn't even go look. Or I'd have seen it happen. Just fire them all and start fresh, because whoever is doing the training, isn't doing their job.

Says online that the store is open til 11p. Nope, my sweetie just ran up there and it is closed closed closed at 5 after 10p, the door was locked, someone was in cleaning.......so someone needs to fix this online! not very professional. When you all get more truthful then I will leave a better review.

Ok. Yes this is my hometown DG. Of course im hoing tk give y'all a 5 star rating because I love the employees here. I to work here and even though there have been a couple bad experiences here, I'll always come back. Just like myself, live it or hate it, DG is here to stay. May as well find the positive attributes and roll with them.

South Charleston,Ohio location is ok. Though some isles are blocked almost all the time with U-Boats and boxes. Have to manuver around them just to shop. Manager is not friendly and rather seems to listen to customers conversations and say them to others which has non of her concern.

Always Friendly Staff! Very helpful. Have most of what I'm looking for most of the time. I call it the Jamestown Mall. If you've ever been IN Jamestown then you know why😄

Had tons of products. Everything was stocked and clean. I found all my needed items without any hassle and the employees were very nice

There staff has worked there a while there friendly woman, but I think they need more help do to nothing being clean and none of them getting a break with register but making 8.15 with no raises your not going to get good staff, let alone keep it.

Very dirty .nothing put away ..always out on a smoke break!! Cockroaches running wild over by the food section floors are filthy and trash everywhere! Trashy store

These people act like they are stocking shelves, it's just very peculiar that the just so happen to stock something in every isle you happen to be in...More like stalking people, not stocking shelves. No wonder their labor is up and sales down.

Store could have been cleaner and more organized. The carts of products that weren't stocked made it hard to get through the store.

Messy store.. carts sitting everywhere. Looks like staff drops whatever they were working on and left. Aisles are tight. Outside is not neighborhood friendly and one side looks like a junk pile.

I'm disabled and have to use my WHEELCHAIR when NEENED. I have needed for couple weeks now. I go in and CAN'T GET DOWN ANY ISLE's TO GET TO WHAT I NEED. BOTH ENDS ARE BLOCKED BOXES OR LARGE CART'S OF BOXES ON THEM. IT'S A SHAME THAT DISABLED PEOPLE CAN'T SHOP THERE. ( FAMILY DOLLAR INCLUDED ) WE ( DISABLED ) PEOPLE LIVES ON A VERY TIGHT BUDGET. CAN'T ALWAYS SHOP AT WALMART. I PERSONALLY, I PART OF MY ONE BILL ( THANK GOODNESS THEY ARE WORKING WITH ME ) SO I CAN GO TO WALMART ( MORE EXPENSIVE ) INSTEAD OF THE DOLLAR STORE. FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Place is a mess, large holes in the parking lot, seems like the employees are always smoking beside the Redbox. It does have good prices.

Ta#!y is the manager and the bathrooms are horrible. Call the fire Marshall u hear...lol. The floors Are dirty and they don't use new mop water

It's not that I dislike the place it's just that all the employees except for like 2 are very rude and don't have very good customer service skills.

This Dollar General is okay it needs stocked up and it needs cleaned up because the place is a mess every time I go in I always get charged 10 or $15 more than what I should be charged I don't understand it still but I'm going to figure it out enter at your own risk
