I ordered tadpoles from William Tricker Nursery. I received a key in my mailbox today, Monday, 4/22/2024 from the USPS postal service saying that I had a package. The weather in Las Vegas today was approximately 91 degrees (in the shade). I opened up the locked box and it smelled so bad of dead flesh I almost got sick. The packaging had no indication it contained LIVE ANIMALS nor did it say HANDLE WITH CARE or Perishable. The tracking said the package was delivered to Las Vegas LAST THURSDAY- where it sat in the post office center and was not delivered to my home until today (6 days after it was mailed from Ohio). In addition, the box only contained a small label on the top that said "William Tricker Inc. Nursery" stating the package contained plants/agriculture NOT LIVE ANIMALS which is illegal. Realizing this was my tadpoles I rushed home to open the box to find a very HOT plastic bag full of black, murky water with pieces of what I assumed were the body parts of tadpoles floating. I placed the bag in a large 5 gallon bucket of water and felt around and could only smell dead flesh. The USPS requires specific packaging to send live animals (tadpoles) and none of the packaging requirements were done to ensure the safe delivery of the tadpoles to my home in Las Vegas from Ohio. In addition, I tried contacting the phone number on this email I received and the phone only rings and then hangs up with no option to leave a voice mail. I sent an email to request a full refund and discuss the facilities gross mishandling of live animals.

I placed an order of over $200 for 9 different plants. Over half are dying or in bad shape They were also covered with duckweed which I really don't want in my pond along with worms and snails. I tried reaching out to the company via phone and email but no one has responded. Hoping that the company will see this review and reach out to me.

Dear Pond Enthusiast.I would not purchase one item from this company. I spent $113 dollars for what I thought was (48) bundles of Anacharis oxygenated plants. When I placed the order on-line, I asked the plants be shipped ASAP in early May when the weather was cool. They completely ignored my on-line request…even with follow-up e-mail messages and Facebook messenger. They are not even answering the phone. You cannot leave a message. Today I received the plants on June 2. The plants are so small in length(between 2 to 3 inches) and rotted. I could salvage only 30% of the plants. A complete waste of money.

I was totally pleased with my purchase. Donnette explained clearly what replacement parts I needed and sent diagrams/drawings and walked me through the ordering process. I even got a discount and delivery came sooner than expected. The fountain parts arrived undamaged and the driver kindly gave me some extra help with unpacking the fountain. I would happily purchase from William Tricker company again. I am grateful for finding a decent, well run company that specializes in water features and was so helpful and fair in its pricing.

Placed a order online,only way to order now. Then saw the pickup times 9-2:30 w-f. Was not going to work with my work hours. Placed order on a sat called mon to cancel my order. Mon night received a email order canceled was charged within 2 days and here a week later still waiting for my refund to my card. When I called I was told our accounting dept will get to when then can. You took money fast and extremely slow to return. Guess will have to dispute charges with credit card co.

Ordered four plants (lilies and lotus) for spring delivery and they shipped on their schedule. Unfortunately, only one survived and hasn’t even flowered at the end of July. They replaced 1 lily that was damaged in shipping, and I contacted them with pictures of the others after 31 days to show the dead plants in the pond, but they are strict with their 30 day policy. Wouldn’t buy again since my local pond store is only a little more money and the plants survive.

Ordered 2 water plants 1 pickerel and 1 cardinal flower, price was decent at 16.49 for both.Put in my credit card and was not given a chance to review order for shipping charges before my credit card was charged. Imagine my surprise when I see 20.09 for delivery charge,I order off the internet all the time and have not encounted shipping charges like this! Buyer beware. Also when I received order confirmation email they state they are running a week behind ! Why not state this upfront before you are charged

I have NEVER dealt with such an unorganized, unprofessional, aggressive company and RUDE staff member (Debora).I received a catalog in the mail from William Tricker. I placed an order late Tuesday night (9/6), I ordered 5 items (pond/leaf net, fake owl, small section of pond liner, floating plant basket, and 2” bulkhead). Catalog said “free shipping” on certain items (pond net being one of them). Upon checkout, total was $224 + +$100 in shipping, I added a note/comment on my order stating that the NET did not show as a free shipping option, and to please correct (net was $24 for shipping alone). I also noted the overall shipping seemed very high, BUT I accepted that & placed my order anyway. On 9/9 I received an email from Debora stating the 2” bulkhead was out of stock, and catalog orders aren’t a good way of ordering because the shipping is auto calculated by weight and that due to this, “sometimes shipping is too high and customer loses but most of the time the company loses on shipping”. She also said she was adjusting the net, BUT that I could cancel and order elsewhere if I wasn’t satisfied. I replied back stating that I only requested that the NET be free shipping as the catalog states, that’s it! She replies back and says “you only get free shipping on the NET not the entire order” and added they were also out of pond liner, and that my ENTIRE order was now cancelled! Not only is it NOT my fault your system doesn’t apply free shipping based on what the catalog says, I can’t control that your catalog or online system doesn’t track your inventory. Telling me that sometimes customer lose but mostly the company loses is not something I want to hear as I’m one of the ones “losing” by chance. You’re arguing with me about what I already said and agree with, but can’t help being argumentative and not caring to actually read my reply. How I’m to blame for your failing system and you apparently hate your job or don’t want to process the rest of my order is just unreal. Hopefully they’re not still using their former owners passing as a reason for poor customer service, that’s all on Debora. I realize good labor is hard to find, but she will be the reason business doesn’t make it. Why cancel the whole order??? This is NOT about shipping or being out of stock on certain items, it’s about being confrontational and just plain RUDE NASTY by Debora.

This was my second time ordering online and it will be my last. The plants take way too long to ship and once shipped they take way too long in transit. Last year all of my plants were dead on arrival which I was refunded for. When you have a bog that you are trying to stock with plants, you depend on them. The quality is sub par. This time I didn't even receive my whole order with no heads up at all. Something is on backorder but no one communicated that. They do not reply to emails either. All around very unsatisfied with the service and quality.

We have always loved coming to this store for aquarium and pond supplies. I bought aquatic plants for my aquarium and they look beautiful. Can’t wait for the store to be open so we can go in again. The website is a little hard to navigate I think but when I called someone answered and I was able to pick up my order that day.

I ordered a Luguna Max Flo 1350 pump for our pond yesterday and it is here today. I'm so glad because it's over 90 degrees and we really need to get the water circulating in the pond again. They said it would ship yesterday and it did. Can't get much better than that. The only thing that makes me sad is that the store is no longer open. We loved to go there. It was fascinating to stop in and browse around. The people there are very knowledgeable and it really is a great place. I wish I could have gone there yesterday to pick up this pump since I only live 10 minutes away. We sure do miss it. Good luck to Mrs. Lee, your husband will surely be missed.

Likely a 3rd. or 4th. generation business. Used to purchase here 20+ yrs. ago when living in the area.Now after returning from being away over 20+ years , the service is less than good. Products are inferior & over priced. There is a $5 fee for curbside pickup. ~ UNACCEPTABLE!Not likely to do business here in the future!

Phone is never answered, emails are not responded to, and if you request to discuss the shipment of items, they choose to cancel your order instead of calling you. Ordered items last year with live animals and items were shipped on a Friday so the animals died while waiting in warehouses which is why I attempt to arrange a specific date of delivery. Beyond upsetting and they clearly do not want your business.

Under the prior owners this was a great company with a long and famous history. I live close and went into the store for decades. The new (newer) owners ride along on the companies legacy while destroying it. The website is a antique, the phone service is disinterested to rude and product delivery takes forever. They closed the retail store during covid and have not reopened since. Plus while the actual store/site was always overgrown and "rustic" in a quaint sort of way it is now a rotting dump in a sad trashy way. I am surprised that the city allows them to continue the way it looks. What a sad ending to William Tricker's long legacy. Spend your money elsewhere

Horrible customer service. Called on wednesday asked for a call back because I had some questions, woman with an accent took the message no call back. Decided to email from there page the same day ..... no response they just need to close since they dont care if they get business or not.
