If I could give half stars, I would. We were the only ones in there for the first 5 minutes. Then a family came in. I noticed 2 others get take out. While the lady running the place was very friendly, she was cussing horribly. I myself couldn’t care less but there was a young child in there.This restaurant was not the cleanest. The lady running the place was on her phone a lot. After she was done with the take out orders, I noticed that she was playing with her nose ring. I didn’t see her wash her hands.Now for the food. I noticed that there was maybe a dozen hotdogs just chilling on the side of the grill. A bag of fries was sitting out in front of the fryer. They were no longer frozen. The chili was about room temp and the cheese was in a squeeze bottle that was sitting next to the grill. The cold unit was hanging open the whole time we were there. My soda, Dr. Pepper tasted like mildew smells.We hardly ate anything. It was terrible. I know you get what you pay for but cleaning and safe food prep is mandatory. If the place was cleaned up and the food made fresh or in proper warmers/coolers, I would probably love this place.In my recent experience,I would say avoid eating there or don’t. That’s completely up to you.

I hate hot dogs. Like literally hate them. For some reason. One day I decided to try them here and now every time I stop here I get a few chili dogs. I live about 15 minutes away so I don't come through here very often in the truck because when I'm this close to home I just stop at home but any excuse I can get to pull the truck in here and grab a few chili dogs I always doParking: Lots of truck parking

If you are a local or just traveling through, I definitely recommend stopping in. I absolutely love their chili sauce, it’s by far one of the best around!!!!A++++Kid-friendliness: My kid loves the burgers!!

I don’t ever write reviews. But something needs to be said about this place. First off I love stopping at this truck stop. Cheaper fuel, quaint little chrome shop, a sit down restaurant, a Pub and a little hot dog stand. I am in no way bashing the truck stop. My anger is solely towards the hot dog shop. I had just gotten $500 in fuel. I walked in to use the restroom, grab a quick bite to go and get my fuel receipt. I went to the restroom and saw the hot dog shop was still open and I noticed the Cash only sign. So I got money out of the ATM and I noticed the older employee sitting at the booth with a fella. I asked her if they were still open and she quickly said NO. Mind you this 8pm on Monday night. So I proceeded to the restroom and when I came back out I noticed she was making food and boxing it up for another customer. Ok then. I went to the convenience store to grab a couple drinks and asked the lady at the register how late the cafe was open. She said till 11 pm I think. I told her what the older lady had said and she then said well that’s not right. I said yea if it was a joke… didn’t really find it very amusing. We don’t always have time for a sit down meal. Everytime I’ve come through here it’s usually real late at night so I never had a chance to grab a bite from there. Was kinda excited to get to try it and on top of it support a small business. Guess a trucker’s money just isn’t good enough for Mavericks.

I went in tonight to see the employee jump a short wall to sit in a booth with a man and eat some pizza. Not a single counter or booth were wiped and customer ready. I was the third customer. Finally I was asked what I wanted. One of the other customers was on his cellphone and stated that the hot dog shop closes at 11pm. Employee stated she closes at 9 or when the other shops close. Facebook shows they are open until 2am. My husband and I stopped at dusk last week and the business was closed. In a prior conversation with an employee she said they were trying to be open 24 hours. What gives?

Before you go getting your panties in a wad, this isn’t a fancy steak house. It’s an ole greasy spoon with customer service to reflect as such. Food was cheap (hotdogs) slaw was too vinegary. The waitress was literally on her phone the entire time even while taking orders but she got her job done sooo I guess it is what it is.****update**** the coleslaw was spoiled! I’ve had a long miserable night!

It was around 11pm and I had the taste for 2 glizzies 🌭🌭 NC/VA style. I was excited that this place was open at this hour.Upon first site of my food, I noticed that they used a darker peppery type coleslaw. So I knew I wouldn't get the classic glizzy I grew up eating.But that wasn't the biggest issue.+ They're open late.+ Fries are awesome.- Hotdogs we're lukewarm/room temp (where they do that at?)- It's noon the next day and I'm still 😫🚽. So there's that.

I love the prices, but the older Diane lady that works there is absolutely disgusting! I've caught her with her hands down her pants and she never seems to wash her hands. Her cooking is half-hearted and sloppy and management won't get rid of her. She has also costed me my job there because she hates seeing someone doing a better job than her. It's just too much drama there between all the ladies.

Not fancy and okay but not great. Italian sub with only one piece of each meat and cheese, dill pickles, one piece of lettuce. Also onions and tomatoes. Dry and a bit sparse. All fresh though, so acceptable. Fries were good.

Horrible place for hot dogs. Do NOT waste your time. I got a pretty big order but EVERYTHING was cold and not the right toppings on anything. I wasted money that I could of just gone to the grocery store for a pack of raw dogs because that's what they served us!! 😡😡

Horrible job on food charged for chilie cheese had two drops of cheese on each hot dog asked for onion didn't get it also did not get a bag for the containers!! Will not ever go here again terrible job!!!!! Will go to jibjab much better even circle K is better!!
