The manager at this location is seriously so nice. He always greets you, always talks to all his customers and if you have your hands full he will ask if you need help to your car. He has turned this place around! And he always shows you what great customer service is suppose to be!

When they are open and staffed, it's a decent place. There's a high markup on almost every item a la convenience store, but they are closed more often than Open in my experience. 5 times out of the last 6 they closed before normal hours due to short staffing. The staff deserves 5 starts for how hard they work. 5/23 Closed again. Last straw for me, will not ever drive to this store again.

Nice location right off Rt 36. Plenty of parking available. Store was clean and organized. They seemed short staffed as the only cashier was having to leave her post repeatedly to get ice for customers. This appears to be a popular shopping spot for the local campers.

Honestly I try to avoid going there because the employees and management are apparently anti makers and don't practice social distancing. Every time i go there i have to down aisles to avoid them because they will walk up on you maskless. (Stocking shelves). Not everyone denies science. I have contacted corporate once already, but it still continues.

I can honestly say this store is starting to turn back around. I know they were having problems finding people to work and a lot of times just one employee. I believe they found some people who want to work and the change is noticed. Good job 👍

A small space that has nearly everything in it. I shop for most of my groceries there, aside from fresh fruits and veggies. I usually save more shopping there for laundry detergent, paper products, and things like socks and basic cotton underwear.

I just love my Dollar Stores and I love that you'll be in the most random spot no house or town for 3 ta 10 miles and not see any signs of humanity and a Dollar General will be around the corner 🙃 💜 off topic but its something you might not think about especially if you live in the city and stay city bound or if you don't do much traveling... The Howard, OH. location is my favorite atm. They have a large variety <of what myself would expect as Dollar store merchandise>and the Employees <02.21.2021>at the moment are welcomeing inviting, helpful and quick.Ur-Dollar-$tore-Girl ✌Be Kind ❤

I was camping on June 10th during the bad storms. We had lost power at the campground and I was unable to charge my phone. The young lady working was extremely helpful in finding the right car charger.

People that work there are very polite and even people who were shopping there, were very helpful. The store was rather organized and decent to shop in. Just, being I'm from the south, I was looking for grits. And...that, they do not have lol

I love dollar stores, never really been a big fan of dollar general until we moved to mount vernon. Then I grown to really like dollar general the dollar general on parrot st and sandusky in mount vernon are awesome stores. However, this one is Howard I dread going there. When we first moved to howard I went to this location all the time, because it was so much better than having to run clear into mount vernon to go to walmart especially when i just needed something small and basic. now id rather make the trip into mount vernon than go to this store. I was going to this store atleast 1-2 times a week. I have not been in 2 months, their customer service is beyond horrible! two of their managers and one of their cashiers ugh so rude so unproffessional its disgusting. they officially lost my business for sure!!!!. Id rather travel to danville family dollar, or a mount vernon location store like walmart or dollar tree rather than endure the rude ass cashier and management that is employed at this location. not to mention its so unbelievable in that store the rude looks foul language and cocky attitudes I will not even bring my own children in the store. down right just unpleasant down right horrible.

I was in town for a week I really liked this Dollar General it was VERY well kept the isles are neat and very clean the staff is INCREDIBLE they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed.

My only real problem with our local stores is the 10 minute wait to checkout because there's only one cashier occasionally. Most of the time it can't complain though

Very convenient to have so close to home, 1/2 mi versus 8 mi to nearest store when all you need is milk or TP.
