Ordered vinyl siding for my 1 car garage. Went to pick it up and noticed I had been charged over $49 for packaging of siding and another $5.99 for starter strip packaging. Was told Menards started this charge about a year ago. In the past I have always purchased large items from there without a packaging charge. The packaging consisted of a couple of pieces of shrinkedwrap. Have many more items to order for large projects this summer. I for sure will not purchase them at Menards. Done with them for good.

My husband and I come here almost every week for items that he needs for his job along with other side items, and every time, we have a great experience. The cashiers, for the most part, are always nice and do a great job. It's usually not a long wait in line either, even on busy days like the weekends. I love the rebate option and how randomly they will have a bag upon entering the entrance side that you can put your items inside to then get a discounted price. These bag sales have saved us a lot of money. Menards, in my opinion, is the more affordable home improvement/hardware store in the holland area. There is even a grocery area that we frequently visit to buy food/beverage items like coffee, pop, candy, chips, dips, and more.

My hubby and I decided we needed paint. We just bought our house and needed to repaint. The guy who mixed our paint was extremely impatient and just acted as if we were a problem. I get being at work sucks and you may be having a bad day but don’t take out on the customers. Especially when we spent $400 dollars!Edit: I do love theses colors we picked out. They are so beautiful 😍

I placed an order online for pickup. When I showed up, after looking for the place to actually pick it up from which was not laid out very well, no one knew where any of the material was that I had ordered. Some said outside sunset inside and on top of that I needed to pick it up myself. What's the point of an online order if I have to go get it myself? So I spent 2 hours looking for the material and asking at least 5 to 7 people where to look for it. Never using this place again.

Pretty nice Menards. Big and usually has a good selection of parts. I often have to go here when the other two big box don't have the part I'm looking for. The staff have always been plenty friendly, I just wish they had a u-scan instead of their weird cash register layout.

Purchased furnace cement from Menards in Holland, OH.When I opened it I found a solid brick of cement, completely unworkable. It will take at least 1 hour of my time to drive back to return the product plus cost of my fuel.Here is an idea, maybe someone from Menards can drive to my home with a new container of this product that is usable. For some reason I do not think this will happen.

If you can find staff to help you, it's not that bad. Your best bet is to go online to their website and find exactly what you need and write down the SKU numbers because most of the time the people working in a certain section might not know exactly what you need or be able to give you tips. Look for rebates too. Helps with future purchases!

Sean Clapper...SAC construction install over 200 Square feet of a new type of flooring in my kitchen.... LifeProof flooring. Sean was punctual and displayed excellent customer service. Sean's superb advice and knowledge of the project from start to finish demonstrated to me that he is highly knowledgeable in many other skills. My project was completed in a timely manner and I was pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend Sean for my type of project and many other projects.

Beautiful Christmas tree selection as usual. I have bought multiple fresh cut (live) trees here over the years. Either here or at a local tree farm. Working retail, I appreciate the fact that menards has their trees in the beginning of November as most tree farms do not open until black Friday weekend.

Every. Single. Store. The WORST layout of a home improvement store. To purchase any type of building product, you must first walk the entire way to the back of the store, outside, then anothet 150’ to the supply barn. I needed one piece of J-Channel. Took me 25 minutes to find what I needed, on the second level mind you, and get back to my vehicle. Absurd.

I find Menards a much better shopping experience than Home Depot. Menards often offers an 11% rebate with many items much easier to find. I find the isles to be marked better. I have ordered wood for delivery multiple times and it's always painless and convenient.

I’m tired of their rebate policy. I’ve spent a lot of money there only for them to lose my rebate refund. Why can’t a customer complete and submit a refund online? A small form that we have to mail in? It’s a sales gimmick that I’m done with. I won’t shop at Menards any longer. 11% off after rebate is a joke and a scam, period. Support Lowes or Home Depot and don’t put up with such a dishonest company.

Very poor consumer relations.Bought a toilet. Installed it and it leaked. Although I had installed many before I figured it must be me. Called a plumber. After he tried to set it 4 times, taking 2 hours (and boy was he frustrated) he found a pinhole in the bottom underside of the toilet that was causing the issue. It cost me about $400 for him to discover this. Menards refunded the toilet and gave me form to fill out to get the $400 back. I filled out the form and they denied it. Said all their products were consumer friendly and they didn't reimburse for professional installation. The prosessional is the only reason I knew it was defective. I'm not a Menards fan and will now drive the 2 miles to Lowes.After this review Manager messaged me, but did not respond to my email.

I went to Home Depot originally to get a lawn mower belt for a John Deere and oil. The belt was $50 dollars and they didn't have any sae 30 oil . They had every other oil. So I went to Menards and found the same lawn mower belt for $17.00 dollars and the oil. It was like $24.00 verses what would have been $56.00. I recommend Menards!! It's crazy Home Depot charged that much for the same item!

Always a wider selection in cabinet design and pulls than Lowe’s or Home Depot which just seem to be copies of each other’s stock. Better selection of metallic paints, latex paint, and wood stains for smaller projects. Always have had a good experience when I have questions about products in those sections.When I needed a new sander, Sara was amazing helping me narrow down from the different brand options and the one I got helped me refinish my coffee table beautifully.Gardening center is very diverse and the strawberry hanger plant I got has been very bountiful all summer.

My daughters and I came here looking for paint in order to update both of their bedrooms. It's been so long since I actually bought paint, that wasn't for art projects, so I was flying blind. The employees who were working at the Paint counter were so helpful, even directing me what type of finish would be the most preferable for what we wanted. In the end I bought 4 gallons of paint, enough for both my daughters' bedrooms, and also enough to paint my son's bedroom. The price was comparable, and the service was so good that I went back in today to buy 2 more gallons of paint in order to paint yet another room!! I'll definitely be back.

Usually Menards is my absolute last pick of the big box stores, but tonight's trip reaffirmed I am absolutely done shopping there. On top of the constant cashier issue of them never wanting to touch anything they're cashing out, the paint I needed....TOTALLY unpleasant woman at the paint counter (purple glasses, no name tag) we also had an online order to pick up. Zachary told us we had to go around back and had to call for someone when we got back there (workers in the pickup yard turned away when we pulled in) we call the number, and Zachary picks up. Tells us he's putting a door away and he'll be out. Kudos for the two minute wait time. Pretty awesome, but wondering if those steps were necessary when he knew we were there to pick up. Pull up to the gate to get out, gate lifts, so I proceed to go. Surprising anyone even got up from their chair as they did not want to get up when we pulled in (just saw a younger woman playing in her phone). I then heard a loud shout and an older woman chasing my car down. She proceeds to tell me I needed to wait, and said "you must be a newbie" I said "excuse me", and she said she can pick us newbies out in any crowd because we don't know what to do at pickup. I told her "forgive me for no one seems to want to be off their duff when we come here". She said she has a problem with her gate. I told her that's a conversation to have with her boss. When asked her name, the woman said Sue. Have fun with Sue folks; she thinks she's a comedian. Absolutely the worst trip yet. If something takes me weeks to bring in with my house remodel and costs much more, it's worth it to go to Home Depot. I'm in Home Depot on a daily basis if not for home then work. I joke that I have my people, because I REALLY do. In each department I have regular staff who knows what I purchase in each department and they run down my checklist for me (to make sure I have everything) and even haul it to the front of the store and in my car if needed. I spend many thousands of dollars in Home Depot each week, and now they'll get the small orders too. Do better Menards. If this is the standard, no wonder everyone hates working there. Oh wait. At least the cashier smiled this time; that was a first.

The store set up is a little confusing and it did not help that this was my first time here. Just the way the departments are set up doesn't really make much sense and you have to make multiple trips back and forth in order to get everything you want unless you know the store like the back of your hand. The reason why I'm giving it such a good review is that every person I asked for help was more than willing to give me directions or even take me to find something. Everyone from working in the store to back by the loading docks was very nice. The store itself is in great condition. Things are organized. The holiday display is pretty impressive. There are a number of good deals here and I think I got 11% off my purchase which is always a bonus. Other than the store setup everything was pretty pleasant and even though they did not have a lot of checkout the time to wait was fairly short. I would definitely recommend it for anyone coming in to get something for their home or yard.

The manager Gabe had zero understanding, and we were told different things from two different employees. Terry helped us out with the floors, he was very nice and helpful, but Gabe and the young lady with him were zero help. I usually do Lowes and Home Depot, and going further I'll just stick to them. They are more accomodating for their customers. I spent thousands in this store to be disappointed. I was going to give one star but because of Terry I'll give 2.

I've had the worst experiences with their customer service team (especially Betty at the Returns desk).We also had an unknown 25% "restocking fee" on a door we returned.If you want friendly service, a functioning app, and better products, I recommend Lowe's or Home Depot.

Girl at customer service needs to watch her mouth. I live 25 minutes away and had to be back 3 times because of their faulty parts, and I got yelled at for trying to do an exchange. Stay out of lucas County, everyone's rude.
