Love getting out on Honkey during the summer. While I have my own equipment, the boathouse and store is very reasonably priced and they rent out quite a variety of equipment. You can get single or tandem kayaks, Stand up paddle boards, canoe, peddle boats, or a pontoon boat.Great place to take someone that wants to try out one of those options in a large buy controlled and safe area.

Worth going to especially because they plan on dredging the lake in September of 2023 and will not reopen for 2-3 years.Such a peaceful atmosphere. Family friendly a true gem 💎 of the Cleveland Metropark network.

It's a large & well kept park.Too large to have seen much of it.Will return when having more time as the Lake Loop Trail is 3.1 miles long. The picnic area has several tables out in the open plus a couple under the moderately sized pavilion. We didn't enter the boathouse store where I'm sure that's where you rent kayaks & row boats. If you have your own water craft there's a public launch facility.

Very unique hiking trail with its sculptures carved into the cliffs. Keep your eyes open because you could easily miss them. Two warnings, parts of the trail are not well marked and the trail is extremely muddy in spots, you will trash your shoes on this trail. Even with those warnings we really enjoyed our hike.

Lovely place. Trails can be easily done, some are hilly others are pretty straight forward. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway this is a best place to go to. Except winter I mean if you like sledding and stuff winter is good time to spend too, but for someone like me Spring and autumn are the best times. This place is serene and beautiful. There is a boating reservation too if you like renting a kayak and doing it.Parking is available.

Beautiful, beautiful little park in any season. The trails are relatively short and quite manageable, and there are so many small, scenic areas for photographic opportunities. Please do be careful as you wander around the ledges, they are especially treacherous in winter. Also, the trails are not always clearly marked, and it can be easy to get lost and accidentally wind up on someone's private property without realizing it. However, if you're attentive to where you are, this place is ripe for exploration.

This place is good for weekend fun! The lake has stagnant water and great for kayaking!! Some people do fishing here as well!! There is a spillway at one side of the lake and kids can play in the water as-well! There are places for barbecue! Most of the time during weekend this place is crowded!!

It was alright. It was fun. Quirky walking paths. It's a pleasant downhill walk going in, which means an uphill walk getting out. Don't go off the path. There are lots of nettles. My friends & I have cuts from not wearing long pants (look, it was a hot day).Neat carvings. Maybe not the best, but they weren't done by a professional. You never know what you'll find!!

Enjoyed the worden ledges hike with all the neat bluffs, ledges, carvings , and rock formations . Just wish the trail was a little better marked .

Went on wordens trail and went up to the lake. The carved faces and such are awesome. The moss just adds to the coolness. It's been raining a lot so the trail was a little rough but still manageable. It's also a bridle trail so there's ton of horse poo, not complaining just putting it out there.

The lake and nature are so beautiful and relaxing. Also, Hony Hut ice cream over there is so good 👍

I moved back to Ohio after about 12 years and I used to go to the reservation all the time. Only differences now is the waterfall isn't flowing as much and no more crawdaddys in the shallows. Has fun though!

Took a short hike of .7 miles from Redwing picnic area to Hinkley lake boathouse. It was short and serene. Did not ride any boat, will definitely do it in the future.

I plan whole day trips with family to this park. There's is so much you can do to get out of the city and noise. My favorite part of this park is walking on the big rocks and trails.

Hinckley Lake is a solid little go-to spot to get away from the hustle bustle of every day life. It's surrounded by trees so it makes you feel like you are deep in the forest on a remote lake.Very peaceful place to relax and take a friend or significant other.Highly recommend.

A really really nice place to hang out. There's a lot to do from peddleboating to feeding ducks. It also has some nice places for picnicking and it has those charcoal grills.Fishing is also available, and I'm pretty sure the store has bait.As it is in Hinckley lake, it has a lot of places to walk and a lot of trails to explore. Also close by is a place to swim.

Hinckley Reservation is part of the Medina Section, one of 26 sections of the Buckeye Trail. The BT winds around the State of Ohio and at 1440+ miles is the longest loop trail in the United States. Volunteers today rerouted the trail below Whipps Ledges to take hikers out of a muddy wetland and on to higher ground. The trail can be recognized by the 2 inch by 6 inch blue rectangle known as a trail blaze. Looking forward to seeing more people following the blue blazes.

We had a lot of fun with the kayak rentals. This it's a great family place. The spillway had a nice swim area, not to shallow, not too deep. There are a lot of great hiking trails too.

Great Place to Spend with the family. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, and trails to Explore. Even Life Guards on Duty. Beautiful Scenery, and those famous Hinckley Buzzards high in the sky.

Always have loved Hinckley Reservation. Nice, quiet nature reserve. Visited recently after quite some years. Features trails, a nice lake where you can fish, swim and boat, some wood-carved sculptures, and is popularly known for the "Buzzards"... And Buzzard Day.

The boathouse workers are always very nice and answer any questions about the lake and park. The park is clean, usually the trails are decently busy, and the lake is very peaceful for kayaking, paddle boarding, picnicking, and fishing. There’s a public launch or you can rent kayaks, fishing boats, and paddle boards. GREAT wildlife.

Great place to go for a day hike or even do some rock climbing. The rocks are mostly sandstone and can get wet/mossy in some spots so be ready for that.

Great place to hike! Can be as easy as a simple hike, or challenging if you want to climb all the hard paths up the rocks.Very fun, but can be VERY dangerous. Keep an eye on kids or pets.
